I had used Chuck and Mary Jane before and was very happy with their work, plus they are a small, local business! Thankfully, in another review, someone mentioned their name, as I wasn't sure of the company's name. I called, getting Mary Jane on the phone with her perky voice! Mary Jane gave me a quick initial quote for 10 vents and let me know how much any additional vents would cost, and that the dryer vent was part of the package. I was able to get on their calendar quickly! Chuck and Alastair arrived and got to work, once I was able to introduce the dogs. The two of them were friendly and professional, letting me know what was happening next. They made sure to replace everything they needed to move to gain access to the vents, plus they put in a new air filter as they were finishing the intake for the system! I mentioned to Chris that something went awry after we tried to secure the cover of the Nest thermostat (it was loose from the wall). The AC had worked before but after doing something with the cover, the AC stopped working. Chris quickly found the problem (a fuse had blown out). Chris was very professional, gave me some ideas on a Honeywell thermostat (we're not BIG fans of the new NEST thermostat), showed me how to read the error codes on our furnace (watch the number of red light flashes and compare it to the brochure left with the furnace). It was easy, peasy, even someone like me who has no HVAC experience could do this. I can't thank Chris enough for his great personality, true professionalism, answered my questions, taught me a few things (learning something new is always good) and even loved on my 2 labs (turns out we both love animals). Corruption at it's finest. I have part of their home program for years paying faithfully. They came…read moreout for a routine AC review and I didn't buy an upgrade they wanted (unit is 6 years old). They then would not certify that my AC unit was working correctly. Within an hour of departure the unit stopped working. They sent same man back that evening, he got it to work then an hour later, no longer working. Next they sent someone else out who said it just had to be our breaker which I doubted. Still I updated new breaker and the AC unit stopped working again. I have asked to speak to manager. The operator takes my messages and I have never received a returned calls, two weeks later still no call. They were suppose to send out an emergency tech. No one has showed up. Called and couldn't get any response other than the woman who answer phone. What a joke. **Update** I am revising my score. I finally received a phone call this morning to discuss my situation and we agreed on the next steps. They were very apologetic but its sad it had to come to this to get a response.

Anthony from Cool Breeze came in and immediately went the extra mile, not only checking out our existing units but also taking the time to go up into our attic (very hard to get to) and down into our crawl space to make sure that any new equipment we bought wouldn't be compromised by bad insulation or ducting. We were immediately impressed with the effort and with the clarity of the info he provided, and he also had a very easygoing manner that made us feel comfortable/unpressured in considering the options Cool Breeze presented. After Anthony's on-site assessment, we spoke with James at the main office, who took a ton of time providing us with very clear and sensible options. We had a bunch of follow-up questions, and he handled them all thoroughly, taking the time after hours to provide additional estimates and helping us make sure we were making the best possible choice. While we haven't made a final decision yet, we were very impressed with how Cool Breeze presented themselves and how knowledgeable they were. The owner, Ryan, was very friendly easy to reach. He was quick to schedule our dryer vent service, in a very short timeframe. When Ryan came out, he checked our dryer heat readings and suggested a few items. One was a dryer vent brush to maintain the lint trap in between professional cleanings, the others were a new exterior cap and a better quality dryer vent hose. There was no pressure for any of the suggestions, and they were quickly and professionally installed. We are very happy with the service. Our dryer is much more efficient, drying clothes in half the time it took previously, and when we are ready for our next service, we will be sticking with All Star!
