I called COIT for carpet and tile cleaning and sanitation after we had a medical emergency at our home. They knew exactly what was needed. The cleaner called ahead to confirm arrival time and then arrived exactly when he said he would. It's a small thing but indicates how respectful he was about my time. He had all the equipment and supplies needed to isolate the area so nothing spread out of the room. In the end, all evidence was removed, the tile and grout looked like new, and the carpet was restored to its original state. I recommend them wholeheartedly. read more

The first cleaning crew I hired from Yelp showed up and refused to do the job without even contacting me. I was furious when I found out and really raked them over the coals. My cousin needed to be in a clean environment and they left him in squaller even though I was very clear when booking the appointment that the condo was beyond awful and unlivable. After chewing out (Angel) for not doing the job as promised and not contacting me to tell me they didn't do it (I found out from my cousin), I called COIT. When they found out what happened and that my cousin was living in those conditions, they squeezed in a same day appointment and took good care of him. I am forever indebted to them for this and they have my deepest respect and gratitude. Mixed feelings about this company. We had a house fire that caused a bunch of smoke damage- luckily no structural damage. Basically this means we needed the entire house to be cleaned by hand. It took almost a month to complete the job. Pros: the people were great. Very friendly and understanding of my situation. They also started very quickly. The same day I called my insurance, coit called me and setup a work schedule. Cons: horrible with communication. Never once did they tell me what was happening next, or when I would expect my cleaning back. I had to call every day to ask about next steps. I was completely confused about how to get items fixed or returned, and never got much of an answer. In the beginning, when I didn't hear from them they said they were waiting for my insurance to accept something on their side. No one ever told me - if they had, I could have called and gotten things moving. This delayed everything by a week. I had a baby on the way, I needed this wrapped up asap. I also asked for them to prioritize the baby items, they said they would, but I didn't get them back for about a month, AFTER my other items. They didn't listen. I also had a few items they cleaned with a washing machine instead of dry cleaning - I then had to work with them to get these items reimbursed. So EXTRA work for me outside my claim. They also used a new chemical, vaportech SOS, for the first time, and none of them were trained on if it was safe for a pregnant person. I had to call the company to find out. Finally, one of the crews that cleaned inside, did not clean up after themselves. The wood floor was muddy when they left, I had to clean it. read more

The roof and drain pipe leaked through my condo and after a roofer checked, my management company hired Coit to dry and remove the wall and ceiling affected by the leaks. I had my shower tiles cleaned today, and to be honest, I was a little disappointed. He did an adequate job, but not great. He missed some spots that I later cleaned myself with some spray cleaner and a brush. He complained (politely, but several times--) about bringing his hose in through the back door, closer to the bathroom, instead of dragging it through the living room and down two halls. (Did he forget about "covid reluctance" to have him come through the entire house?) Good things: the company was very responsive, and scheduled the cleaning just a weekend after I'd called. It was delayed two days because of Monday's weather, which was OK; it was easily rescheduled, and the technician called before coming as I'd asked. To be fair, the shower really needed cleaning -- nothing done during two years of Covid-- but it could have been better. read more

Recently got on Yelp to find a firm that offered cleaning of my under the house dryer vent. Coit was quick to respond with a fair estimate and was able to schedule the cleaning for a Saturday morning. Mark, the technician, arrived promptly and explained the procedure. After turning the dryer on, we went to the vent to check airflow. There was some. Mark said should be more than that. He then quickly got to work. Afterwards, he showed me the lint that had accumulated. He replaced the dryer, ran a short cycle. We checked the vent and WOW! What a difference!! He was very courteous and answered all my questions. We have lived in our home for a little over 5 years and just saved enough for hardwood floors. The original owners had beautiful drapes with a valance that is about 25' Long. The husband and I both agreed we wanted to keep them so I found COIT on Yelp and gave them a call. With new floors, I wanted clean drapes! We were lucky enough to have Wyatt as our service technician. He removed the drapes to take them for cleaning and advised me that they could clean my giant valance on site. He also told me that they would hold the drapes while my floor was being finished at no additional cost. My beautiful drapes are now in place and I couldn't be happier. I had a very bad water leak under my kitchen sink into the crawl space. The plumber wouldn't go under to fix it because it was to wet. I was told to call 911 restoration their guy was in Tahoe at least an hour out. COIT showed up within 20 minutes of my call. COIT's guy Dekon was knowledgeable and thorough, cleaning up stuff that could turn into mold. Hopefully I will never need to call again. read more

So I needed my carpet cleaned in a condo I own. Half the condo is tile and laminate. Only the upstairs is carpet, or 600 sq ft. He quotes me $192. I told him it's only 600 sq ft. He states that they charge by the room. I'm like, okay, it's two bedrooms. He says the staircase is a room and the hallway is a room. Holy schnikees! results turned out okay but the carpet is only a year old so it's not like it was filthy. Anyway, you might want to shop around. It's unfortunate that my experience with this company was so poor that I have to leave a negative review, but after multiple incidents I feel this is the only prudent thing to do. Coit was hired by my insurance company after I had some water damage in my kitchen area. At this point I'm not even entirely sure what coit was hired to do, but they came in to demo some of the damaged floor and move my appliances. In the process of this they severely damaged portions of my walls, ceiling, and hardwood floor, so much so that the scope of the job dramatically increased and the rest of the floor had to be replaced. When the construction company came in to do their portion, they noted that the demo was so poorly done that multiple portions of my kitchen would need to be rebuilt that shouldn't have to had to. Again dramatically adding to the scope of my project and certainly adding on time and expense. Further, all of my interactions with coit on the phone have been poor, they don't get back to me in a timely fashion, they don't communicate effectively at all, with me or with the other involved contractors. It is apparent to me that they don't care about the customer or their reputation in this community. I should point out that after coit caused all the damage and this was discovered that They are contributing to the cost of the repairs, and I want to give them credit for that, but still if their employees were professional and knowledgeable in their area, certainly none of this would've happened at all. I'm hoping I don't run into another problem like this that would require their services, but certainly if I did I would not use this company again. read more

One doesn't ever really want to have to use a cleaning and restoration company - It usually tends to be under bad circumstances. We had a water leak in the wall of our house resulting in mold growth. The builder of our house put us in contact with Coit. They were prompt in calling us to set up an appointment to assess the damages. They came out same day and were out first thing the following morning to clean the mold and water damage. I didn't feel the price was too much for the work they had to do....it was actually less than I would have thought. They were thorough with their work and explained everything before beginning. Who knew they did more than carpet cleaning, but they do a lot of other stuff. Sean and Jarred came out to restore/mediate a leaking sewer pipe in my house that was discovered by my heating company when they smelled the foul air under my house. I called the plumber and they immediately called Coit to come out right away. It was a seriously large leak and they had to dig out 2 feet of sewer damaged soil that was close to my foundation wall. It took 1 day to dig up and dispose of the soiled dirt, deposit an antibacterial substance and set up a drying machine for overnight drying. They returned the next day to remove the drying machine and placed the new plastic inside the basement where it was affected by the leak. That only took about an hour and a half. All this time, Sean and Jarred were professional and polite and explained exactly what they were doing. They cleaned up all the mess because it got a little messy toting the bags of stinky mud and dirt through the house. Luckily, I had wood floors, but I'm willing to bet that they have protection for rugs. If you find yourself in a situation where you have to use Coit for restoration/mediation, call them! read more

Coit performed dryer vent cleaning for us. They were on-time, professional and got the job done at a reasonable rate!

Trying to work with COIT for water damage and restoration was a painful process all around. They broke the glass panel of a shower door and didn't tell anyone, so that delayed the entire project by a full week. They overcharged for tasks not performed. In removing tiles to correct damage underneath, they took out twice as much as the tile company estimated would be necessary. (which means buying and paying labor for twice as much new tile!) There was NO communication with the customer (me), so I had to manage all the coordination for them, and had to chase after them just to get basic info like when they will be showing up or how long things are expected to take. Once they had the sale, it was like the customer didn't exist. I will keep advocating for anyone to AVOID COIT Services at all costs. Since all their services are run by the same management, I wouldn't trust any of their other services or communications either. read more
