The two, extremely negative reviews below do not seem accurate. I met Paul when he changed out the shower cartridge in the unit above mine. I needed the same thing. So, I paid him to change my cartridge. Later he installed a washing machine for me, replaced my kitchen faucet and installed a water heater. Everything was satisfactory and the price was fine. To me, Paul seemed like a super-nice guy. He speaks very acceptable English with a mild accent. I recommended him to a neighbor, for whom he installed two toilets and a water heater. My neighbor had no complaints. He works with an informal association of workmen who help each other out and refer each other for jobs depending on the skill set required. I am the HOA president of our building. The HOA needed two gates, one beefed up with a new screen and another replaced and reinforced to deter the frequent break-ins we have had. I asked Paul if he had anyone like that. Paul recommended Rod A. who has a current license to do gate and door work. Rod works for himself, just starting a new business. He did a great job and charged a lot less than the average gate-and-door company would have. I recommend Paul for the type of jobs he did for me. read more

Not sure if there is an actual office for this guy. I doubt it though. He seems like a one man operation - with hired help (and sometimes his wife). He seems to mostly work by contract on apartments (move-ins, move-outs, maintenance, etc). The guys name is Paul. Some type of Middle Eastern. Kinda sorta speaks some English. Not sure what his last name is... THE HELP: The hired help I've seen him with - are the guys you see standing around your local Home Depot - the dirtiest scum of the Earth. Guys with bad attitudes, fidgety, dirty looking... Sometimes he'll show up with his wife. He's a regular maintenance guy at our complex - and his "help" (besides his wife) is total trash. He's a loud mouth, rude, dirty assh*le that doesn't really know what he's doing. The dude has brought his "girlfriend" (or whatever she is) to a job once. They ended up arguing in the complex. She ended up crying on the stairs. They were yelling, slamming the gate, stomping up and down the stairs, making a scene right THERE in front of the complex. Just total sh*t - the both of them. Who does that? They left the place a mess as well that we had to clean up... The other dudes he shows up with are random... No "real" crew - they're all cheap hired help. The side of his truck states he basically does everything from painting, plumbing, water heaters, electrical, dry wall, carpentry etc... Just everything. But his work is absolute sh*t. He redid my bathroom because the building where I reside is 200 years old. Bathroom was full of recurring (black?) mold, leaking through the inner walls into the apartment below... It has a metal frame sliding door system. You know how you usually seal the frame to the tub along the outer edges, let it dry. Seal it to the walls so it has a solid fit...? This idiot tried to seal it within the frame itself to the tub which didn't make ANY sense at all. Didn't work, still moves around to this day, just a sh*t job all around. The grout for the tiles is all weak, breaking apart, falling out. There's cracks all over between the tiles... It's like he used gum after he was done chewing on it... Recently he was upgrading one of the apartments that was now vacant. I remember the first couple days he was doing it - his and his gutter crew were hammering and sawing on the walls with so much force - some little shelves I had fell off the wall in MY apartment because of the vibration... I went over there and asked him wtf he was doing - and he showed me he was trying to cut some holes in the wall and who know wtf... The only time you need to hit walls THAT hard is if you're doing straight demolition or you're turning into the Hulk or something... To scream "I'm a worthless idiot maintenance guy" even louder - he ordered some retro fit windows. You know - the ones that you can order from the dimensions of the window area itself and the retro frames basically fit snuggly inside that area and you drill some screws in and call it a day? Yeah, well f*ckhead that he is - he measured them wrong of course. So he orders the retro fit windows, they don't fit and he spents about 4-5 hours hammering, drilling, destroying, and forcefully removing the existing window frames and drywall/sidewalls so he can stick the retrofit windows in there... I mean how in the hell do you f*that up? This guy is pure trash. His crew is trash. Everything he does is trash. Totally worthless. read more

I gave Paul Odisho many chances to rectify the problems before leaving this review for Pro Handymen. He stopped replying to me so he left me no choice. I hired Paul to replace the fixtures in the main bathroom of a condo I own. We agreed on a price that I new was inflated, but he lived in the same complex, so I thought he would come with some extra knowledge and make the price worth it. I was wrong. The first scam was saying that I also needed to replace the fixtures in the master bathroom. He entered the master bedroom, uninvited, and then called me to say they should be replaced at the same time since the water was already off. Since I have renters in the unit and don't live in the area, I took his word for it. He said he would do it for double the price we had agreed on for one bathroom. It just got worse from there. He kept calling back saying there were new problems and quoting a new much higher price. Since he had already broken into the tile, I didn't feel I had much of a choice. He said the higher price was because the work was going to take at least 10 hours and he would have to come back on another day to finish. After I agreed to the increased price, he actually finished the job in just 2 hours. It was just another lie to get me to agree to pay more. Since I wasn't there, he assumed I wouldn't ask my tenants how long he actually worked. The worst part was that after the already inflated price he had last quoted me, the final bill was $1000 higher than that! He is one of those people who just keep telling you what a great job they did and how much work they did and how the price was a great price. He must have said, "believe me," at least 20 times. I didn't feel I had any choice since the work had been done, so I paid him. The only thing I asked of him was to give me the receipts for the fixtures since they have a lifetime warranty, and I will need them in case they break or something goes wrong. His receipt listed $750 for parts which was supposedly the price of the 2 sets of new fixtures for the bathroom. I new the price was grossly overstated, but I still needed the receipt for my own records. He gave me many stories about why he didn't have the receipt and that he'd have to get it from his Home Depot account. He gave me the run around for weeks saying he would get it to me, and finally just stopped responding. I did let the manager of the Presidio Place complex know about my problems with him and that I felt ripped off by him so I hope no one else falls for his fast talking promises. He is dishonest and will start work promising one price and then jack up the price when you are already in the middle of the job. Do yourself a favor, do NOT trust this guy. I really wish I had not. I wish I had looked up his reviews prior to hiring him. The one other review would have warned me off! If anyone knows a good, reliable handyman, please message me.
