I have gone back and forth on whether I should leave this review because the work appears to be okay. But, after much frustration and inner searching I have decided to post this in the hopes someone reads this and doesn't make the same mistake I did. The first service I got from this shop was a rear tire that took them nearly two weeks to install. I foolishly gave them the benefit of the doubt for a more serious service. For nearly two months my bike sat in their shop losing out on the last few weeks of the riding season. All communication I had to engage. Daily calls being told that I would receive a call back, never happened. Finally started calling them back after waiting, still no solid answers on price or ETA. Finally after weeks and weeks of waiting I got the call that my bike would be ready, for $1100 MORE than my $900 deposit. I was told that I needed a new rear tire and they already installed it, when did they inform me? Not until after it had been mounted, oh and it was a Pirelli that is much more expensive than the Dunlop I had installed. When I inquired why they mounted such an expensive tire without asking me I was told "We knew that you wanted to get back on the road and the Dunlop was back ordered." Checked online tire retailers and the more affordable Dunlop was in stock at all of the major suppliers. I was itching to get back on the road and didn't want my bike to spend a second longer in this shop so I took the hit on the tire and kept it moving. TL;DR: Do not bring your bike to this shop if you value your time or money. Waited nearly 2 months. Charged $2000 for a rear tire, chain clean, and a clutch slave cylinder replacement. read more

Pro Street reached out to me after I posted in a local facebook group about an issue I was having. He was prompt and on time when he came to pick up my bike and he explained everything about the deposit and timeline. That's where the good ended. There was little to no communication until I reached out and demanded it. I needed new tires. He didn't consult me about which ones I wanted, he made a unilateral decision and ordered a set without talking to me about it. I never signed any paperwork, I was never given a solid price. New tires, mounted and installed for over $1500. I'm not even mad about the amount, I'm mad that at no point was Michael, the owner, upfront about what he was doing. I was never told what tires he was ordering, I was never asked what tires I wanted. I was never given a timeline, and I was never given a final price. I got 2 different quotes for the same service. The first shop, the dealer I bought the bike for, quoted me $600 less than Pro Street. The second shop quoted me $550 less. If you value honesty and your money, take your business somewhere else. Charged an $800 deposit I never saw again, plus $1,614 on my card without my permission. $1,200 of which was for a tank I never received. After 10 months I had enough, bike was returned in worse shape than it was when I dropped it off. Berated and belittled when you call. Emails ignored. Last time I posted a review I was told "you can get your ass kicked for doing that". read more

I always thought this was a good spot for motorcycle repairs and all, but after almost waiting a full year for my motorcycle to be finished and countless bs excuses, and the lack of communication which is very unprofessional, I've came to a conclusion that this place sucks read more

The owner Mike would rather threaten a customer with violence (handle it the parking lot ) than refund a $25.00 carb kit that was missing half of the items it should contain when I bought it. This was the second time that I tried to do business with him. He is dishonest and lies. I will never try to no business with him again. read more

I wish I would have read Heather T., Kenneth B., Curtis R., Joseph D., Antonio D. Alexis R., and Riley C.'s reviews before I took my motorcycle to Pro Street. My experience was similar in different degrees to all of theirs. I had an inspection done there, after which the owner found an issue that he said he could repair. I left the bike there on Oct. 1 and did not get it back until Nov. 18. They asked for my credit card to hold a deposit and, without me authorizing it, placed four separate charges on it before I ever picked up the bike. After telling me that the issues had been fixed, he called to tell me that it wasn't quite right and that he wanted to make it perfect for me. Then, he proceeded to find two more things wrong with the bike, the first of which he said he would take care of for free because I had not brought the bike in to have that done. The day I picked it up, they still did not have an invoice ready and didn't get one to me until the next day. When I asked him why he charged me four times before the bike was even finished, he said that's the way he always did business because he didn't want to be stuck with a bike that had not been paid for. Yet, he kept my bike for nearly two months before he finally repaired it. Apparently he doesn't trust his customers, but expects them to trust him. I went in for what he said would be less than $600 of work and ended up paying nearly $1,400. I'm hoping the repairs are good because I would never take it back there. I went to Prostreet Cycle RVA the 1st time just for an oil change. What I found was a great team. I am a female rider and often times I am talked to as if I do not understand my bike. The staff here treated and talked to me with respect. They have done several jobs on my bike and have always done honest, quality work. The staff and owner are very knowledgeable on many different makes and models of bikes. read more

I went to Pro Street looking for someone to rebuild a H-D reverse drive motor after talking to the local H-D shops who only wanted to sell me a new motor at $1600.00 , he told me this wasn't something he wanted to take on but took the time out of his busy schedule too put me in contact with someone that would. I must say Mike is a little rough around the edges and tells you right up front how he is ,and Frankly I like this , if you want the BS treatment then go to the H-D shops. read more

A tale of 2 different people. My initial experience as a walk in was fantastic. Put a new front tire on my ride while I waited due to unseen sidewall dry rot. Was professional, informative, actually impressed me enough to bring my bike back for a full baseline service. 2006 Yamaha Midnight Venture....and it all went off the rails... I had a laundry list of things I needed done. I wanted a full tune-up, carb sync, NEW EVERYTHING(fluid, parts, BATTERY, plug/wires, filters EVERYTHING. Gave him a $500 deposit...SEVEN MONTHS LATER i finally get the call. Had MINIMAL contact, updates, etc. Was told the delay was waiting on parts from Japan during pandemic issues...ok no biggie. First thing I expect/ask for A detailed itemized receipt with my keys so I can see what was done. I was told " Well, I'm behind on my paperwork a bit, so I'll have my office girl work it up for you this week." uh....okaaaaaaay....well can you at least walk me through everything done? The balance (on top of my deposit was over $1200) After pressing a bit, I got him to admit to 1. we looked at yer plugs, they were fine, so we cleaned them up and put them back in... (NOT what I requested Sir, I asked for new EVERYTHING) 2. I had put V&H Monster Oval exhaust on the bike and she was running rough, and I said specifically "IF you think it needs to be jetted to run right with the ovals (IT didn't) CALL ME FIRST PLEASE. Nope he admitted AFTER telling me the old plugs were put back in, that he had in fact went up a jet size. WTF??? How do you dump MORE fuel into old plugs and call that a tune up?!?!?!?! I said CALL ME FIRST DUDE! Now the bike runs like ass and gags cuz it's drowning in fuel. 2 weeks later when I hit him up on FB Messenger I pleaded for info on WHAT was done because I STILL hadn't gotten the receipt. He refused to take it back, then lied to my face and said he'd put it in my side bag the day I picked it up..... NOPE BUSTED, not what you told me to my face 2 weeks prior. You said you hadn't DONE IT YET?!?!?! TO THIS DAY I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED OR SEEN AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT FOR WHATEVER WAS OR WAS NOT DONE TO MY BIKE. dIDN'T REPLACE THE BATTERY, KEPT THE OLD PLUGS BUT DECIDED TO DO WORK i SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO BEING PERFORMED. The mechanics were cool, but I wouldn't trust the owner with a fisher Price Big Wheel. Not sure what his problem was, but he couldn't remember his bs from one interaction to the next 2 weeks apart. I'm gunna give my 100% honest review here. don't normal do this but I feel people need to know. so sent my bike in to Mike back in beginning of June to have some work done. brakes change exhaust bolts and go thru bike. ended up having my bike for almost 2 months and only did half of what I asked. pay 180 or a part that he still has not received now in the beginning of September. messaged last week asking for my part or refund cause bike is now wrecked. he just gives me the run round and tries to change subject or we swamped here ill get back to you soon. still haven't heard nothing and still done have my money or part. really liked Mike but the way he going about this is making me have second thoughts. spent over 2000 and honestly don't know on what cause I never received a invoice. even told me company he ordered part from was gunna overnight part cause they sent to wrong shop which ended up not happening. will have better review if he actually gives my money or part to me. I rode my bike to Pro Street Cycles on July 24, 2021. Then on about July 29 I was told that my bike did not have any oil in it mind you i just had the oil change on July 10 bike have no oil leaks and Michael said he rode my bike and it start smoking never had any problems with my bike smoking so when i went to his shop on Aug 3 2021 and he allowed me to go in the shop and talk to the guy who was working on my bike. So today Aug 4 2021 when i went to get my bike he curse and told me to not walk in his shop anymore andi said you right i was wrong but once outside i told him to never curse at me again. Then he told me if i do not sign a wavier that he was going to keep my bike I told him he was crazy. And also he told me that the price would be 1,045 but when I told him that he messed my bike up he change the price did not ask you to put plugs in my bike. Very nasty and childish guy. Not a good shop his word bad. I will never give him my business because once i got there was told bike not smoking anymore. read more

I took my motorcycle in to have some minor PM work done. He told me a day or two later it would have to go to a machine shop, which could take a few months, maybe even 4. Well, this was in October of 2020 and going into May of '21, he is refusing to finish my bike, he refuses to return my bike or the thousands of dollars he has claimed he "needed" to get the job done. He won't even speak with me now or return my calls. The last time I went to the shop to try and get my motorcycle back, he he was belligerent, towards me and my friend that was there to help me load bike up. He won't even give me a reason as to why he won't finish the repairs, other than "I'll return your motorcycle when I feel like it" If I could rate lower than one star, I would. I had no issues with his mechanics. I felt as though they were straight up and honest. As far as the owner, Mike, not so much. Once the courts DO handle this situation, I'll not say the name of this business again, unless it's to tell my experience with this shop. read more

I have been taking my Harley-Davidson here for a few years now and have never been disappointed from the prices to the actual work performed. Dealers have wanted me to wait a week or 2 for a tire instal where for oil changes and tires Michael moves you to the front. Whether you have a metric bike or a Harley it doesn't matter. The guys know what they are doin and are great at it. The service there is the best. read more

I took my metric bike to this shop in Sept 2020 because of a sudden noise. The owner, Michael, was very friendly and helpful. Said he would look at it and let me know. Unfortunately, he failed to mention it would be 2 weeks before he would look at my bike. He told me I was rushing him when I called to see what the status was on my bike, and at one point told me to come pick up my bike, that it would be outside. I should've done just that but decided I would let him work on the bike and keep my mouth shut. Once he did look at it, he told me he took it out and dogged it. Wasn't happy about that since I don't ride like that. His mechanic was committed to discovering the issue and took the time to talk with seasoned metric mechanics about the issue. It ended up being the springs that are built into the clutch basket. Due to COVID and parts shipments from overseas being delayed, I got my bike back in January. I discovered one of the belt adjusting slides were loose so, I tightened that up. It wasn't until May that I realized a part was missing off my bike. I immediately contacted the owner. After our initial messaging, he refused to answer my text messages and phone calls concerning the missing part. Told his front desk person to tell me he couldn't find it and wasn't replacing the part. So for a $33 part, he lost a customer that spent $1,500 at his shop. It's not the part missing as much as the way Michael treated me as a customer. I just sold the metric bike and bought an HD (shouldn't have an issue getting parts). I will not do business with this company ever again and would not recommend them, either. I gave them 1 star because the mechanic was good, even though he didn't put the part on and didn't tighten one of the belt adjuster. read more
