But, after much frustration and inner searching I have decided to post this in the hopes someone reads this and doesn't make the same mistake I did. The first service I got from this shop was a rear tire that took them nearly two weeks to install. I foolishly gave them the benefit of the doubt for a more serious service. For nearly two months my bike sat in their shop losing out on the last few weeks of the riding season. All communication I had to engage. Daily calls being told that I would receive a call back, never happened. Finally started calling them back after waiting, still no solid answers on price or ETA. Finally after weeks and weeks of waiting I got the call that my bike would be ready, for $1100 MORE than my $900 deposit. I was told that I needed a new rear tire and they already installed it, when did they inform me? Not until after it had been mounted, oh and it was a Pirelli that is much more expensive than the Dunlop I had installed. When I inquired why they mounted such an expensive tire without asking me I was told "We knew that you wanted to get back on the road and the Dunlop was back ordered." Checked online tire retailers and the more affordable Dunlop was in stock at all of the major suppliers. I was itching to get back on the road and didn't want my bike to spend a second longer in this shop so I took the hit on the tire and kept it moving. TL;DR: Do not bring your bike to this shop if you value your time or money. Waited nearly 2 months. Charged $2000 for a rear tire, chain clean, and a clutch slave cylinder replacement.

The joint is run by two brothers, and they and their staff of wrenches can fix anything that ails the experienced motorcyclist. It's not a dealership, and they do not engage in much handholding. If you know what you want, though, there's no place better. They have a yard and warehouse full of vintage bikes in various stages of disassembly. Whatever your need, they can either get the right part, tell you how to make the wrong part right, or set it up for you. Their prices on tire changes are unbeatable, if you bring the wheel in yourself. If you don't know how to drop your wheel, they can still help you for a reasonable fee. Pro Class is the real deal. It's big, slightly dirty, and you might get tetanus. But if you are a motorcyclist of my particular type, there's nowhere you'd rather shop.

If they are supper broke down, and slummy then they typically don't know what they're doing. But the places to go (like Pro Class) are right in the middle, not perfectly clean, but organized, the mechanics are covered in grease but they know all the ins and outs of the thing they're working on. I've received great help here. I recommend it to anyone who sees my vintage cafe racer. I try not to go there too often as I want to learn my bike, but these guys come through when I mess something up. They synched by four carb bike and it runs great. I recommend these guys to anybody with an older bike, or newer bike. Awesome.
