My big WOW was I got a text from SAP that the parts supplier messed up and bagged a wrong part in properly labeled bag so the replacement correct part was reordered (no fault of SAP). Normal procedures would be wait for delivery of parts. Nope that wasn't good enough for this team as it would have meant an additional 5 days delaying repair and they were trying to get my difficult to find parts older dryer fixed. They went out of their way, picked up the part and drove out to me the same day (I am at least 70 miles from their typical service area - they got assigned my claim thru my warranty company). Last night was the first night I have been able to run my dryer with heat. It worked perfectly and did its job. Thank you Ryan. The tech Ryan was fantastic, knowledgeable and efficient. He took extra time to explain suggestions to make my aging dryer last longer. He was able to quickly work in my crazy small pantry/laundry room area surprisingly well. He cleaned up after himself, left the area cleaner than when he found it. Well done. original post - I hope to increase the rating once service complete. For now the rating 3 due to it being very difficult to reach the company since July 31st through calling and email and my warranty company is making it even more difficult to talk to anyone. Thankfully today I had a nice conversation the service appliance pro and found out my model is a challenge because of part availability. Once my repair is complete, I feel I will be able to update to 5 star if access through the new suggestion of texting keeps things flowing. Serge not only listend to the problem, provided an reasonable estimate (which ended being hte real price), but was at the door in about 10 minutes. How much better could it get? So now, the oven works and we are all happy. Finally, we know an appliance repairman who is nice, has skills, and a great sense of ethics... which I think is quite rare in this field. I call around 8am on a Saturday, let the girl on the phone know that Serge had been at my house a few days prior and that my fridge might break; if it does I should call so he can try to get the part. She says she will get Serge on the phone and get back to me. Sounds awesome. It's been more than 2 hours and I've had no phone call. I call back; she says she's waiting to get Serge on the phone and she'll get back to me. Again. I wait. It's after noon now. I call again. She says that Serge is due in the office any minute, she'll talk to him, and she'll get back to me. It's after 1pm. I call again. At this point I tell her that she was supposed to get back to me numerous times, but did not, and, if Serge can't get out to fix my fridge, then I'm calling someone else since it's not working! She puts me on hold, talks to Serge, and says he needs to look to see if he has the part and she'll get back to me. I tell her if I don't hear from her by 2pm, then I'm calling someone else. She calls at 1:45 and says, "Serge can be there in 10 minutes, is that ok?" Finally... He arrives and our fridge is working. It's been cycling on and off all day; he can't find the problem and doesn't want to guess and charge us lots of money. He even offers to give the original $35 back if we feel he isn't being honest. I tell him Jim G.'s "just give it a smack" method to get it started again, which leads Serge to figure out the problem. He replaces a part (which was way cheaper than what he originally thought was broken) and showed me the broken piece and demonstrated how it wasn't working. Our fridge has been fine since. Bottom line: Serge is great. He arrives quickly, works quickly, is nice, and doesn't seem like he's trying to rip you off. However, the customer service reps have some issues; either they're liars, they don't know how to keep track of time, or they're just incompetent. I was very hesitant trying out anyone random on Yelp since I needed one right away. Tuesday morning, after speaking to at least four companies, based on their initial fee, response time, and availability, I'm so glad I went with Appliance Repair SFM. Jake was our technician and I was impressed how he quickly started to take apart the dryer and inspect what was wrong with it. I was anticipating the dreadful answer of buying a new one, and thankfully that wasn't the outcome. Jake showed me that the belt was worn out and the inside of the drum that had some type of plastic covering over the metal was gone and needed replacing, it also needed a good cleaning. Jake told me how much parts were plus labor, which was reasonable rather than buying a new dryer! Since he had to order parts, he would finish the project by Thursday or Friday and he gave me his business card if I had additional questions. I didn't hear from Jake on Wednesday, so I called him, and he picked up! He said the parts weren't in yet and he'd contact me on Thursday, which he did, in addition to setting up a time on Friday he'd come by to complete the project. In conclusion, Jake was a pleasure to work with. He's responsive, respectful, honest, and didn't try to upsell me on anything. I'd definitely contact him again if I do have other repairs needed.

All of my communication with "Henry" before the appointment was through text only, and I genuinely do not remember the $60 fee ever being directly communicated to me in our messages. The technician later stated that the fee was clearly listed when I booked. However, I never logged into the "Thumbtack app" nor I was prompted to do so, it actually states I can continue to message through text. When I questioned the charge, the technician told me he could not leave my property until I paid the $60, which made me feel pressured and uncomfortable. What concerned me even more was when I asked the technician which company he was with, he told me "ACE." I specifically asked if he meant ACE in Hacienda Heights, which is a completely different company, and he said yes. It wasn't until afterward that I discovered the actual company name through Thumbtack. After this happened, I had to create an account to see the actual company name and the full pricing information, including the $60 fee. I understand service fees are common, but I believe they should be clearly communicated upfront, especially when communication is being handled through text. Customers should also be given accurate information about who is providing the service. Overall, the lack of transparency and the way the situation was handled left me feeling misled and uncomfortable.

I had a good experience with this company and want to share it where I can…read more Our refrigerator died on a Friday evening and I started calling around to find a place that could come by ASAP and help get it working again. TechPro ended up being one of the places I called and I'm very glad I did. I spoke with Murod from TechPro to see when they could come by and let them know what happened. They had an appointment the next morning (Saturday) and he was even able to give me some details and estimates for what it sounded like the problem was. He was very professional and extraordinarily helpful for me to understand the situation better. The tech came out the next morning and was wonderful. Courteous and quick. He even asked if he should take off his shoes when he saw we didn't wear shoes in the house. He found the problem and showed me the issue right away (partially fried power control board). Also let me know other issues that were potential causes and what those costs could be once they could be checked (needed power to be checked). In this case the fix that was needed unfortunately meant that it was a better choice for us to get a new refrigerator so we didn't have them do the fixes. Either way though, every part of working with them was really great from the first call to the billing. If I need any appliances repaired in the future they will be my only call (already saved in my phone).
