I am a huge fan of this place for a few reasons ... Last year, my car died and I had it towed there, upon recommendation from a dear friend. They did their best to try and revive the auxiliary battery, because it was a hybrid. They literally had it for a couple of days to do their best to get it to re-start, but it did not ... and they didn't even charge me ONE penny! Fast-forward to this year, I got a new car and stopped in one day when I was in the area to ask how much they charged for a winter prep inspection and he gave me a price so I made an appointment. This morning was my appointment and not only did he keep the good price he quoted me, but their oil change price is $13 cheaper than my old place I used to go with my old car, so I had him do that, too! I like when folks quote prices and stick to them - nothing "snuck" in. I like to support local (especially in my own town), family-owned businesses as well, and that is what this one is, too. I have been going here for many years. I will never trust another mechanic. Tyler is an amazing person who is honest, trusting, and fair just as his father was before him. They always beat everyone else's prices and never sell me what I don't need. If you ever go for an oil change and get that list of repairs you need, bring it to Tyler. I have been going to Probst for almost 13 years now. I love that I can walk to my office and Tyler would call me when my car was done. They have worked on everything I have ever owned, from a PT Cruiser, Chevy, Buick and now a Honda. I love his honesty and kind demeanor. They have done good work for me at a reasonable cost. They put new struts on my vehicle at a much lower price than quotes from other car repair places. Very honest. Replaced my battery with one that I have more confidence in than other brands. Oil change lower in price than many places. read more

Took my truck here for a diagnosis, supposedly by a professional mechanic. I was told it would cost close to $2500 to fix. I took it home, saved up and had a different mechanic close to home fix it eventually . Come to find out Probst diagnosed it wrong, the part they said was broke was fine it was something else. It only cost me $550 for labor and parts. I would not trust this shop and to all people out there, always get a 2nd opinion. No matter how people say "oh go to Probst their good" lying ass people or people who got ripped off and did not know it. I should have my $95 diagnosis charge refunded. Watch out for these guys. What a rip off!! Make sure you understand this place charges $95.00 an hour for diagnostics and won't be able to find anything wrong with your car after 3 hours! So unless you have unlimited funds to have them "TINKER" around for a few hours to find NOTHING!! even after you've told them to quit looking, go ANYPLACE else!!! Too bad I can't do minus stars! I've been going to these guys for nearly 20 years. The prices are fair. The more modernized cars get these days, the longer it can take to solve the problem.
