Best barber/salon shop I've ever been to. Every hairstylist here is nothing but professional and very welcoming I came here the other day for a haircut with David( the barber here) and was absolutely impressed with his work. I gave him an idea of what type of hairstyle I wanted, but wasn't exactly sure myself of how it would look, but David brought my idea to life exactly how I envisioned it to be. He is the most friendliest barber I have ever come across. Besides David the other stylists at the studio are very terrific. Since I've been coming to this hair salon I've seen what amazing work they have all done. I strongly recommend everyone here at the salon Guys book David, it will be the best decision you will ever make. Robbina's been my go-to since her DTLA stint. She's detailed AF and goes well beyond my standard trim: taking great care to hear out my hair concerns, how it reacts, how I want it to feel, the exact amount that I want cut, etc. For those looking for a quickie haircut, I'd recommend someone with less experience and consideration. I have seen Sandra for over a decade!!! I can even explain how happy and beautiful I feel everytime she does my hair. She really listens of what you want and I trust her 100% is she wants to do something different with my hair, it always turns out being something stunning. I came here for the first time for a pretty big job. I had been dying my own hair red for quite some time and wanted to get back to a brown base with blondish balayage. I had 2 other salons, recommended by others, cancel on me at the last minute so I turned to yelp. I live in the area and had no idea this salon was here but I sure am glad I found it. I was very disappointed in there services. I came in with 2 other girls wanting to spend over a easy $1000.00 and all I got was excuses, run around saying they would not be able to work on any of our hairs, without even testing it out... all the owner of the store Sandra kept saying was it was going to take a longtime as if she was rushing us to leave, as soon as we stepped out sure enough she left the store.... wow she really didn't care to have customers....I could keep on going with saying all the negative remarks I got but I would be here all day so rather not.....the worst services ever... I took my money else ware and it worked out great....this other salon was able to do what I asked and made over $2000.00 due to my Referrals I will continue referring elsewhere I don't recommend anyone to come to this salon and if you do maybe I would say he tried a little was Isaac... other then that.... that place sucks.... read more

I was exited to come to this place because a friend referred me. She had her hair done by Nikki and looked great. So I decided to come in and get mine done. Nikki also helped me and gave a great vibe, but I am not happy with how my hair turned out to be. That day that I walked in and walked out my hair looked okay even though I had seen a little damage and didn't think it was a big deal. I thought to my self I can use treatment to help restore the ends. Nikki suggested that I shouldn't wet my hair til 3 days after. I took her advice but now my hair is so damaged I can't even run my fingers threw it. Let's not talk about trying to brush it because my hair rips if the brush/comb goes threw it. Nikki spent 6hrs on my hair and mentioned quite a few times not to expect to walk out with what I wanted. I didn't feel comfortable but since I thought she knew what she was doing i didn't pay much attention. Which I should have. My experience was bad at prodigy hair loft. I even told Nikki I wanted to walk out confident and honestly I am so embarrassed of my hair. I feel so uncomfortable to have my hair down. I feel that my money should be refunded because I could have done my hair and cause the same damage that Nikki did but instead I paid to have it done "professionally " and fells like it back fired on me. Isaac is a thief he charged my 82 year old mom $80 for a hair cut and $65 for hair dye. My mom went in wanting to cover her grey didn't even have shoulder length hair. Won't ever go back I don't even pay that for a haircut and my hair salon is not in El Sereno I guess business is so bad you're practically stealing from people. I needed a haircut badly and I found this new salon and was intrigued to try it since they give 20% off for first time clients and it's next to my nail salon and favorite café/bakery. I received a phone consult and I was impressed with how knowledgeable they seemed on the phone. I set up an appointment for my 3 year old son as well and myself. I'm very low maintenance with my hair so I don't really know what to do with it. I mostly wear it in it's natural curly/wavy state. It had been over a year since my last terrible hair cut, so I was super scared to try someone new. I'm so happy that I took a leap of faith and was taken care off by Missy. She totally heard me out and knew exactly what I needed without me really knowing what I wanted. I was afraid when my hair seemed too short, but I think I had ptsd. I got a haircut and hair color by Tlalla in February 2016. I usually go somewhere else but this place is so close to home that I was hoping to find a new gem. I loved my hair color even though it was a darker shade of red than what I asked but in the end I loved it. Especially cause it eventually faded really nice too. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by the haircut (which is way more important to me). I have long hair and I asked for a long layer look but instead it looked like just two layers and the top layer looked so choppy (not the cool choppy look either)!! Sandra Lopez is truly a Color Technician & Specialist. She's at her best if you "just trust" her. I know that sounds crazy, but by the 3rd time, Sandra did my hair, I left saying, "Wow! I love it!" I'm an extremely picky blonde, who has pretty damaged hair, tends to go brassy (not by choice) and am always looking to get that 'perfect' warmth/light ratio. My best friend just recently went to her and came back looking like a bombshell. So I had to give her a shot. Not only is Sandra welcoming and hospitable; she's completely knowledgeable of her craft and her passion is undeniable.
