We need more grocery stores like Produce World. Fresh , great variety and most importantly nowadays.... Discounted! Most of the fruit and produce is up to 50% cheaper than the major chains. I noticed that other posts mention fresh juice but I didn't see any when I was there , it might not be available on Sundays?

What the actual F. This price is unreal.

Ah, Produce World. I came to find this place courtesy of Groupon. It cost me $8 for $30 worth of produce. And yet I still wouldn't go back. When I think of "something" + "WORLD", my mind immediately thinks that they are going to have everything related to that "something". Camping World. Picnic World. Outdoor World. Beer World. Disney World. You get it. Produce World doesn't. It doesn't have any produce every big chain grocery store on the planet has. You know what Produce Word *does* have? Higher prices than the big boys. $4 for an avocado? You're insane, sir. $9 for a watermelon? Come on. I knew I was in the wrong place when I put two bags of grapes in my cart, and with one fell swoop, hit half my Groupon amount. What's that you say? You'll pay more for higher quality? The Whole Foods marketing department applauds your reasoning. But here at Produce World, you'll pay more for less quality. How the heck does that work? I'm bothered I drove here. I'm bothered I was looking forward to it. I'm gratefully happy I didn't take the kids here, thinking this was a panacea of grocery and produce nirvana. This place sucks. Go to your local grocery store and marvel at the same produce for less money.

Forget Cost Co or Trader Joes for produce. It's better than going to a Farmers Market. The prices and quality are better!

Wow. It had been a…read morecouple of years since I first became aware of Bloom Ranch. I'm not originally from California, but in the spaces I've moved through, I've always done my best to support Black-owned businesses whenever possible. Unbeknownst to me, I had no idea Bloom Ranch hosted a jazz brunch experience on the property. I was reminded about Bloom Ranch by someone whose opinion I trust deeply. She had traveled all the way from San Diego for the experience and left without words. She couldn't quite explain the levity, the love, the light, or what she had felt there. That was all I needed to know. I immediately booked a Sunday brunch and came with my partner and another couple. The experience begins long before you arrive. Driving from Pasadena into Acton, the landscape slowly transforms. The city gives way to rocky hills, rugged peaks, and wide-open skies. Then suddenly, you turn into Bloom Ranch and find yourself transported. Lush gardens, lavender, herbs, fruit trees, and rows of vibrant greenery welcome you onto the property. It feels as though you've stepped into another world entirely. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not only by the Bloom Ranch staff, the people who steward and cultivate the land, but by what genuinely felt like family. From start to finish, we were cared for, supported, and guided through an experience that felt intentional in every way. The soulful jazz music would periodically pull you out of conversation because it was simply too beautiful not to fully absorb. The food was prepared in-house, sourced from the land, and served by people whose care and intention could be felt in every detail. What surprised me most was how spiritual the experience felt. There is something profoundly grounding about being surrounded by people who genuinely love the land, nurture it, and share its abundance with others. In a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, Bloom Ranch offers something increasingly rare, presence. It invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and remember your connection to nature, community, and yourself. I am filled with immense gratitude for having experienced something so special, created by people who look like me, people who feel like me, people who are intentionally cultivating peace, connection, stewardship of the land, and community. I was also filled with an incredible sense of pride. Bloom Ranch is the largest Black-owned ranch in Los Angeles County, and its existence feels both meaningful and necessary. Dr. Bill Releford is a beacon, a pillar of optimism, wisdom, and possibility. To witness someone carry the values and lessons of his upbringing through a successful medical career and into the creation and stewardship of Bloom Ranch is truly inspiring. And then there is Debra Releford, the Matriarch, whose warmth and presence seem to illuminate the heart and soul of the ranch itself. To say that I will return almost feels inadequate. It makes it sound like Bloom Ranch is simply a venue where one has an experience and then goes home. That is not what this felt like. What it felt like was being welcomed into a family. Into a community. Into a frequency of love, joy, nourishment, and belonging that has been needed for a very long time. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Dr. Bill Releford, Debra, and the entire team who made this experience possible. What you have created is deeply meaningful. Forever grateful.

Fresh eggs??? A dozen for $8, fresh from the chickens you can see opposite the store, is a deal. Besides being a great place for fresh produce and a lovely place to visit for farm fresh items, this ranch is available for events. I attended the Boots and Bloom Line Dancing Experience this weekend and was SO THANKFUL to also find a LARGE COVERED - aka OUT OF THE BLAZING SUN! - area with SO MUCH SPACE, we line danced in circles! LOL! Lots of room to spread out, plenty of supervised parking with and easy to navigate, one way in, one way out set-up. Andy Gumps are large and well maintained. I was amazed by the variety, from vibrant Surinam cherries & Jabuticaba (a native Brazilian grape) to familiar favorites like green mangoes and cherimoyas. It's inside ABC Supermarket, so it's easy to just stop by when you're already there. They have a lot of tropical fruits, which I really like. Sometimes it does get pretty crowded and a bit messy, but honestly that just makes it feel more lively and busy in a good way. I really like their pre fruit boxes, especially pomelo, jackfruit, and other ready to eat fruits. It is a bit more expensive than buying whole fruit and doing it yourself, but I still think it's worth it for the convenience. Usually it's fresh, sweet, and ready to eat right away. I also come here sometimes to buy flowers for my parents during Tết or memorial days. They have decent choices at reasonable prices, so it's easy to grab everything in one trip.
