After moving to Santa Fe this week, I called almost 30 salons before I spoke to the owner of professional nails, and she confirmed for me over the phone that they offer hard gel manicures. I was extremely excited that they offer this rare treatment as it was what I was used to getting before, but unfortunately after driving 50 minutes to get there, once I walked in for my appointment, she told me that she never said over the phone that they had a hard gel, and that they only offer regular gel and dip powder and then again said that she never said anything about the hard gel. I know for a fact every single salon I called, my question was, do you offer hard gel manicures. For her to call me a liar the way she did instead of taking responsibility that she misunderstood what I was asking for after I had driven almost 2 hours round-trip to leave without getting any services was extremely frustrating and upsetting. I stopped by here on a whim after work today. I've lived in this neighborhood for 2 years and just found this place, but I couldn't be happier! I guess I'm a little sad that I didn't know about it sooner! I went in for a gel manicure and it was about $30. The nail tech was super thorough throughout the entire process (old gel polish removal, Mani, and new gel polish). My nails look lovely. Not the greatest pedicure I've ever had but OK. Did not want to pay $40 for gel so opted for a regular polish pedi. Reasonably priced for standard pedicure. No bells or whistles aka: hot towel wrap, hot stone massage, paraffin wax or aromatherapy. My nails could have been buffed and smoothed with the Dremmel before applying polish and it would have been a better result. The massage chairs are new and still in good shape. The salon is very clean and well appointed. Everyone speaks English so you don't feel like an outsider. I went to this place the other day they said they could only do either a pedicure or manicure they didn't have time to do both so I did a pedicure and I liked it so I went back today 30 minutes before they close and they said they were all booked up and would not do a pedicure!!
