I had the most amazing service from Ernesto at the Professional Paint Center/Benjamin Moore. He could not have been nicer and given better advice for priming and painting for a DYI. I was painting over a red wall, which I thought would take several coats of primer to cover, but Ernesto tinted the primer the shade I chose and I was able to get coverage in one coat of primer and one coat of paint. I will say they looked busy but there was only one other customer when I walked in and no one even acknowledged me. I'm a contractor and have been coming here for many years, used to live up to its name, but has really gone downhill in recent years. We purchase maybe 25% of our paint here, yet this place alone accounts for more than half of the miss-tinted, unshaken, or shot in the wrong color base orders, of all our paint vendors combined. The only game in town for contractor pricing on BM products, and they know it, attitude and apathy run high here. The owner used to be in the store daily, haven't seen him in years. Not all Benjamin Moore paint stores are alike. What sets this store apart is the customer service. I had my exterior house painted. After a portion of the body and trim painted, I started doubting my color selection. I was pretty upset with my color selection and went down to the paint store to look for other colors. The manager, Raz, saw how upset I was. He offered a very competitive pricing since I had already purchased the original paint. I also consulted with Yoni, one of the color consultants whom I also highly recommend. Both helped me through the process. I ended up just changing my trim color and only suffered a 1 day delay. Amazing place! customer service excellent! In person they aim to exceed your expectations in every way. My first time there and I was beside myself with how professional, friendly and HELPFUL they are . Emphasis on helpful . I arrived after 3:30 PM to order two 5 gallon paints , plus 4 separate gallons of two other different paints. I didn't expect to pick it up till tomorrow afternoon. Oh contraire. They went to work in minutes and prepared all the paints same day, and carried them out on a dolly personally to my car by 4:05pm . The pricing was great ! The interaction from beginning to end was great . The manager gave me incredible information and was fantastic. They gave me expert finish and grade advice and delivered on everything they said they would. You won't ever go anywhere else once you experience the service here. Highest recommendation from me. I'm going back next week to get a free color consultation from one of their professional designers (they are available for hire to come to your home ). Joe and Lynda inspected first-hand the rusting on my guardrail, which had been recently painted with three coats of Benjamin Moore's DTM HP25. They immediately recognized the problem and had a solution for me. Joe went to his vehicle and brought in a 1.25 gallon two-part kit of solids-based epoxy (Corotech V155). He also brought me everything I needed to apply it: a brush, 2-gallon pail, mixing sticks, and a print-out of the V155 spec sheet: https://photos.app.goo.gl/6sC9NNuZP3m5OZC43 They GIFTED all of this to me, a value I estimate to be around $125! I have not got this much attention since being sent to the principal's office (multiple times I have to admit) in elementary school. I was told to wait a week before applying the epoxy and that the epoxy would penetrate all pinholes, ultimately sealing off my steel so thoroughly that I wouldn't have to worry about rust again for a very long time. I wish to convey my thanks to Joe and Lynda, and all at ProPaint who have consistently helped me over the years. You've really gone beyond the call of duty this time. It goes without saying the products and paints are top notch and reasonably priced. What sets Professional Paint Center apart is the staff and the customer service they provide. They don't just sell you something and wash their hands of you after the purchase. You can call any time for advice or assistance. We had a lot of time on our hands due to Covid and set out to do some home improvements. We decided on some very dramatic paint changes and really had no clue what we were doing or how to approach the project. After purchasing paints, brushes, etc. and starting on the project, we quickly realized we were doing it all wrong. We called Professional Paint Center back and spoke to Linda. If I could give this store no stars and still review it, I would. While the product (Benjamin Moore paint) is good quality, the customer service was the worst I've ever experienced in any business. Both the woman we dealt with at the counter and the in-house "designer" were completely rude, unhelpful and insulting as we tried to match and select colors. We finally bought two gallons of what we needed but decided to go elsewhere for painting supplies. Unfortunately, my experience today @ WC Professional Paint Center was far from pleasant. I went in to the store and headed straight for the color wall with all the samples. Yoni (color specialist) approached me and abruptly said to me,"do you need something"? I replied that I was just looking around at the colors as we are preparing to change our kitchen paint. She quickly pointed out that she was a color professional and she would help me find colors. I showed her our new kitchen granite and cabinets, and her comment was, "Why did you pick that particular granite, it doesn't go with your kitchen wall"! I was shocked and became a little defensive and said, "because I like it". She continued to interrupt me and made sure that I heard her opinion at all cost. I never felt that Yoni was listening me and I learned nothing after 30 minutes that helped me at all, just that I will never go back to that store again. Kelly- Moore is just down the street with very good reviews. I would have very much appreciated someone that listened to me and then helped me pick out colors, isn't this her job anyway? Went into this shop today to buy paint. I already knew which color I wanted. There were three people working and perhaps three customers. No one acknowledged I was even in the store and I am 6'1" female, not exactly diminutive. Not once did anyone say "we'll be with you shortly', "good morning" or "kiss my butt". Twice employees were on the computer with no customer. After standing there for about 5-10", I left. I'll go to ACE Hardware on Mt. Diablo Blvd as they sell Benjamin Moore paint and are a lot more accomodating. read more

I would rate this store 0 if possible. Yesterday my daughter and I visited to choose colors for the new house that she and her husband just purchased. I had recommended Benjamin Moore because we consider it to be the best and have always used it on our house. But then, I could not even believe what happened. The horrible treatment she received from the obnoxious so-called "design consultant", Yoni Hansen, was nearly traumatizing. (Ordinarily I wouldn't mention names but this was so bad that Ms. Hansen needs to be called out.) This person, who was not busy with a customer, initially ignored my daughter until she very politely said "Excuse me can we get some help please?" Her response was "What do you want?" When my daughter said she was looking for a soft shade of white, The consultant immediately started rolling her eyes and insulting her, derisively saying "You Millennials are all the same, you watch TV and think you know what you want - Farmhouse White!" My daughter told her that their painter had suggested Chantilly Lace or White Dove. The consultant replied "those colors SUCK!" My daughter then said, "OK, then just let me look thru the swatches". The consultant refused! I said nothing, and my daughter kept her composure, but after a few more rude and condescending remarks from the "consultant" we left the store, never to return. I'm sure this consultant has chased many more potential customers away - Be advised! read more

You'll never go to crappy Home Depot again. This place is so helpful, quick, great service, competitive prices. They always take the time to explain things to me and answer all my questions. As single woman "do it yourselfer" I really appreciate this. They have the tiny paint samples that are a great alternative to the big quart samples. They also have a personal color consultant you can make an appt with. She really knows her stuff, asks lots of questions and makes suggestions you might never have thought of. read more

I'm a residential owner needing several gallons of paint. I was served quickly and politely by an initially helpful man. In hand I had a valid within date discount coupon received by mail from Professional Paint Center in Walnut Creek and Dublin. It very clearly stated "20-30% Off All Paint, Painting Supplies, and Sundry items". I decided to buy the quality Aura given the discount which I had presented to him. The agent then stated the cost at $79/gallon. I aske for clarification ie the price after the discount. He searched the computer again and said $75 a 5% discount. I replied the coupon stated 20-30% off. He muttered an incoherent explanation, I asked again and the same response. I then asked, "So you're not going to acknowledge the discount?" He said something close to "I guess not". I know BS so I walked out. A valid promotion such as this is a form of contract a vendor makes with the public. I own and operate a well established Painting company in the east bay. I started buying paint from Professional Paint Center in 1982. Benjamin Moore paint makes the most technologically advanced product line in the world. They also have the best color palette. I've tried all the other lines, but If I want my jobs to stand the test of time I don't really have a choice.. It HAS to be Benjamin Moore Paint. Professional Paint Center has a great staff. The owner Jack is great at spotting talent and hires only the best people.This store tends to get busy because its the best place to purchase paint. If you go to a fancy restaurant and have to wait a while for a table its accepted. Give the staff a break. They're working as hard as they can. You'll get out of the store in half the time as other paint stores with no other customers. Grab a cup of great coffee. Talk with the on site colorists that are at the store between 12:00 and 4:00 everyday. Its a free service and I recommend hiring them to come look at your home to give you a full service color evaluation at a very affordable price. Professional Paint Center has another great store in Dublin so if you live or work closer to that area drop by and have a visit there. Its an amazing flagship store and the team at that location is very knowledgeable and helpful as well. read more
