Profix Appliance Service just completed an excellent job on my 12 year old Viking Range and Hood. It's a big one, 6 burner, grill top, double oven big. I had an electrical issue with the hood and most of the burners were not igniting properly. Also the front panel with the knobs was worn out. Most of the lettering was gone. Well, now with the work done, my range feels brand new. Mike the tech was very professional, knowledgeable and kind. He paid perfect attention to the details. I knew exactly the service I would be receiving and the cost. The staff I spoke to when making the appointment, were very friendly, efficient and addressed my concerns. I was treated with courtesy, even when I canceled my appointment 3 times!! and they re-scheduled me with no problem. I was given updated status on parts and appointment reminders. Once you are a homeowner, with its many benefits comes the disadvantage of having to repair your appliances. Throughout the years, I have used several appliance repair company's, one by one, I have deleted their phone numbers from my contacts. Profix is the last number I have left, and will be the only company I will continue to use. The owner Mike, is attentive and proactive, he followed up with me, the technician was honest and kind, the staff that does the scheduling, tried and succeeded in scheduling an early appointment for us; helping to repair my 11 year old refrigerator. I just had the best experience with Chris from Profix Appliance Service. We have all Viking appliances and I've been super disappointed in Viking repair men before. I called Viking.com this time and they sent me to Profix who is the only authorized Viking repair service in the valley and west side. Not only did Chris arrive on time he was fast and informative. He performed an annual cleaning of our refrigerator then patiently listened to me as I walked him throught the other problems I was having with the other appliances. I called Profix in almost a panic, because our oven door is not closing completely. With 30 people coming for Thanksgiving in two days, I was frantic. Lore took my call and although they had no openings today or for the next two days, she assured me that she would try to get someone here. Lo and behold, she called me back with a time when Mike would be here. He was so incredibly nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, the door needs new hinges, which he has ordered and will install as soon as they arrive. He helped us with a way to secure the door until it is fixed. Profix has been very helpful on both occasions I have been referred to them to fix my Dacor down vent on my stove. They were willing to call 30 minutes before arriving so that I didn't have to spend the whole 4 hour window waiting. I have an off-brand stove/oven that came with the house when I purchased it new two years ago. When it stopped working, I called the American importer of the stove, and he recommended Profix. I have to say I am really, really happy that he did. Mike came out, diagnosed the problem, ordered the appropriate parts and came back out and fixed it. Honestly, I was amazed that he pulled it off--I was already pricing replacements. But I have to tell you--from now on, if I am ever in need of appliance repair, I will call Profix. I was SO thankful to be put in touch with Profix after another company failed to assess my dishwasher problem (and then conveniently disappeared for 6 weeks before deciding they were ready to "fix" my unit). Profix came to the rescue -- they came my house within 24 hours of me speaking with them, they figured out the problems immediately, and then they offered multiple solutions and a very detailed report so I could share it with my warranty company. Mike and his team are awesome. Our Viking fridge had a recalled part and was basically sitting on one hinge. After the initial service call we were directed to call into the Viking recall number to request the replacement part. We did, the part arrived, and Mike was out the next day. Unfortunately, Viking sent the wrong part so Mike handled the communication with Viking personally, got the new part ordered and expedited, and once the new part arrived was out again the next day to install. Our Viking refrigerator was not cooling down. Viking recommended that I called Profix and I am so grateful that I did. Out of desperation I had called someone from yelp because they had availability on that day. They came and quoted me 1600.00. I had a very bad feeling. I called Profix in the morning for repair of my Viking refrigerator that had developed ice on the bottom of the freezer compartment. Chris Erdei, the technician, came the same day. He explained that the p trap drain was clogged and could be cleaned out but the issue would happen again. He recommend that the part be replaced with a new designed part. We agreed and he defrosted the ice in the pertinent part (we had already removed the ice off of the bottom part of the freezer) and replaced the p trap drain. I never get round to writing these reviews but feel compelled after having such a positive experience today. Our 18 year old Viking range had a number of issues, Gas smell, lights not working, not cooking efficiently etc. I had one company come and quote $2,700 for a number of 'necessary' repairs and a 2 week wait for Viking parts. After the rep left he repeatedly called to see if we'd decided to do the repairs so I smelled a rat. After calling Viking and them recommending these guys as an authorised approved repair company they were able to send someone out within a day (Chris) who listed half the necessary things needed to fix the problems, had all the Viking parts ready on his truck and the total cost came to $700!!! I mean seriously?!! Thank goodness we had the sense to shop Around. 1 hour later and the oven works like new. VERY satisfied customer. Don't get duped by other companies. $700 may not be cheap but compared to what we could have paid and considering how old our range is it's worth it. read more

If I need help the next time when one of my appliances has a problem I will only call this company. Seriously I did not know companies like this existed anymore that are so truthful. I felt there was a problem with the waves that my microwave was putting out (long story). Mike and his company completely made me feel 100% sure that nothing was wrong with my microwave and that it was running fine. They even brought a meter out to show me the amount of electromagnetic waves were normal comparing it to my other appliances, cell phone, computer, hair dryers, etc. I wanted them to replace something and they truthfully explained to me that it would not change anything and I would be wasting my money.
