I initially called for a repair as my AC motor died. They diagnosed it promptly and offered the fix. Trane repairs are not cheap and my refrigerant was retired by the industry. So, we replaced our AC and Heater at the same time. Their initial offering was at the budget model from Goodman but I didn't want a system that would only last 10 years. I wanted something that woud pair with my replaced Trane system and last over 25+ years. They recommended Amana as their high end and it has a lifetime warranty. However, I was not told I needed to register these units within 60 days to keep that extended warranty. So luckily, I read the fine print and completed that. Its almost been two months and the systems are working well! I highly recommend this team for any installations and repairs.

Quoted $3100 for compressor replacement and then said I should think about replacement of the entire system (around $10K). Well I had another 3 years warranty on this system. I called the dealer who handles warranties for my Lennox system. They checked it out and there was a leaking o-ring and replaced it.Done. Fixed it for hundreds of dollars instead of thousands. Tech from Peppy could not answer questions about basic pressure. I am sure this company is great at removing and replacing whole systems!

Sitting on my fingers, figuratively speaking, for months before posting these comment but seeing…read moreSam M's this morning about his experience with this HVAC company, I think he used the word scam, I feel the need to say we had a similar experience last year. Here is our story. I won't go as far as saying it is a scam. I will say it was a disappointing experience that caused us to lose faith in Ultimate, although to that point they had been our contracted service company for twice a year maintenance inspections. During one of their routine check up visits last year, the technician told my husband that there were serious things wrong and we needed a new unit. He said that a sales guy would be in touch with us to follow up to make selection for a new unit. We were astounded because the unit was less than 10 years old, we have 3 zone heating and cooling in a custom built home home, we are meticulous about maintenance. We heard from the sales guy a day or two later, he came to our home and met with my husband and I listened to the discussion while working on other things. The sales guy was very nice but this is not our first rodeo, as the saying goes, given this is our fourth custom home where HVAC units were installed to serve multiple zones so my husband had a number of good questions and the answers were vague. We had no reason to distrust Ultimate at that point, but with an almost $25K estimate to install a new unit, we needed a second opinion by a qualified HVAC business. So we called another company we used during an emergency after a water leak that required the restoration company to have the HVAC unit to be removed and replaced. We used that company then because Ultimate couldn't fit us in to their schedule. That other HVAC company did a great job during the emergency so we asked them to come look at our unit. They did and issued a clean bill of health. We are loyal customer types and would have stayed with Ultimate forever in the service contract we renewed with them every year for twice yearly check ups on our HVAC. But after that experience, we switched our annual contract over to this other company. I'm going to give them credit for the years they did the the two seasonal checkups years on our HVC. So I'll post 2 stars with that credit in mind. But I don't think Sam M's 1 star is wrong.

Technicians appear to be working on some sort of commission resulting in price-gouging. Had I not needed immediate repairs and others were available I would have gone with any of the other much high rated local companies. Not a company I will be working with again in the future. I am in Boise recently moved this year and I do not recommend. They are trying to deceive customers by closing their poorly rated (3 stars) honestly reviewed profile (scroll down for it - they have 3 entries for this same business) and opening new profiles with what appear to be insider and not actual customer reviews that give them 5 stars for which they only have a few ratings (fewer than 10). Scroll down and check their "closed" profile with the most reviews that show a clear poor 3 star rating.

However, Shawn has retired, and we learned, because this is still a pretty small town, that after Shawn left, many of his best people went over to Access. Lacey, the young lady who sets the schedule is one of those great former Overall employees who transferred over to Access! We are sure glad she did! She is SO personable, professional, and willing to help in any way she can - she quickly set us up with Ron, another excellent Overall alum to install a toilet less than a week later! It turned out great, at a VERY reasonable price (almost HALF of what Lowes would have charged! HALF!!) and with the taller ADA toilet and grab bars now installed, my Dad will be able to safely come home to finish his rehab! Thank you SO much, Lacey and Ron!!
