This was my first time using a cleaning service. The ladies that came were polite, quiet, and very thorough. My home (1300sq) with two kids under five can become quite a handful but they left my home looking and smelling great! My complaints really are minor. When I booked them I was apparently referencing an old quote provided three months prior, the price had gone up $20-$30. Okay no biggie, fee schedules change all the time. Next I requested the ladies schedule me around 3, I have a husband who works nights and needs to get his rest. However I got a call around 11:45 telling me that they're on the way. They ended up showing around 12:20 leaving me to have to wake my husband up. All in all, I'd use them again however it'll have to be a timeframe that they can actually stick to read more

I called Progressive cleaning for the first time about two weeks ago. I'd just had some of my rooms repainted and there was dust and sand all over. Not only that, the place was a mess prior to the painting. Their team of two showed up on time and got right to it. I had to get to work, so I showed them how to lock the door (its a smartlock) and I headed out for work. When I returned later that afternoon, I was so pleased! They had locked up just as I had asked; and the kitchen, the bathrooms and the floors looked especially great, there was also a light fresh scent throughout. They literally got all the little spaces and dusty areas, and the price was on par with the local competitors. I have been a Progressive Cleaning Customer for a couple of years now. Despite already being very clean and a total "neat freak", I still get cleanings because of how meticulous they are. The cleaning teams are alway on time and friendly. When they leave, everything is SPOTLESS and scrubbed to perfection. They pay particular attention to places that I often forget about (windows, mirrors, lightswitches, wallboards), and leave the bathroom and kitchen ***sparkling***. I have used other cleaning services, but Progressive is far more efficient with their use of time, and they are by far the most thorough cleaning service I have used. Quality of cleaning and friendliness of staff is 4.5. In terms of timely arrival it is negative 5. And they don't mean what they say. Email communication is very efficient however with extremely conflicted information. And so you know the arrival window is actually 4 hours finally I was told after multiple early and late arrivals out of the arrival window. And now they said it's on the website. With multiple email exchange, each time I was told something different. I was told that the arrival window could be one hour, two hours, three hours and at last four hours. And that the automated reminder email with different arrival time I could ignore but use it as confirmation, and just needed to pay attention to the 2 hour arrival window I am with. But then the last email I was told the reminder was the best estimation of arrival which could be hours different. Literally every email says different things! Also they won't notify you when you were told they would if the staff come late or early. Bottom line is if you just want to do a one time cleaning it is probably fine and they can put you on the schedule with very short Notice. but if you want recurrent cleaning visits you will have to tolerate their 4 hour arrival window which they don't tell you until you experience it. Actually I had once had a more than a 4 hour arrival window, but I didn't wait and reschedule it. The reason why they get so many good ratings is they try to give you discounts if you write a review here. But they only offer the discount right after the first visit. Because I think you would figure out how much you know things aren't good with the company after two times and you won't want to write any good review anymore. I ended up having to switch to a different company. After waiting for 2 hours for them to show up during the window they had told me I called them. One of their staff had an emergency and they had to cancel on me. While I understand things happen I would have expected a call from the office letting me know. I tried to be flexible but in the end they said it would be another hour for them to show up. I told them I couldn't do it and I needed it done for a move out. They couldn't work if my schedule to make up for their staff shortage and only offered me a 10% discount. What company can be completely thrown off by one person being out? What happens if someone is sick like in this case? This was my first time trying to use this company and I do not intend on trying again. read more

I stopped using my old cleaning lady due to scheduling conflicts. She came to my home for the estimate and we agreed to $100 every other week or $150 monthly. My home is kept very clean, I don't always have time to do deep cleaning. I was excited to hire this company based on reviews but I was taken back by the quote I was given. I live in a townhouse that is less than 2000 square feet and my estimate was over $300! I personally feel estimates should be evaluated by the home and how dirty it is. Usually my wife keeps our house spotless clean, but recently we got a little of dogs and with the combination of our kids playing with them, you can only imagine how hard it is to constantly be cleaning. So one day my wife and I decided to call a cleaning service and she found Progressive cleaning. I was very impressed with the job they did on my home. They cleaned in places I would have never even thought to clean, like the corners of my window frame, they made that corner spotless. They seemed all the spots we had neglected cleaning, under furniture and the top of the kitchen cabinet. They even left a certain detergent smell that was just the very definition of clean. Read great reviews on yelp and gave them a try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed and overpaid. Too late now since they absolutely don't give refund. Please let me know if I am being unreasonable. First, they came 2 hours early. Luckily, my wife was home today. My condo is 1000 sqft, 2 beds 2 baths. 3 ladies came to clean and wanted 3-4 hours at $35 per person per hour rate. That comes out to $315 for 3 hours or $420 for 4 hours of cleaning with 3 professional cleaners. 3 hours with 3 professional cleaners come out to 9 total hours of labor. Are you serious? For 1000sqft? My coworkers have their homes clean for $100-$150 for 2500+ sqft homes. I only requested for 2 hours and they just rushed and left. Everything wasn't done since I didn't want to go over 2 hours. They asked how the first cleaning for my home was before leaving today. Of course I am going to say it was good; I just wanted to pay and have them get out. They were friendly and professional, but the price was too high. After they left, I re-cleaned, mopped, and vacuumed for another hour. Dust were everywhere and the floor wasn't really mopped properly. I guess I just have a bad luck with home cleaning service.
