I asked Progressive to do a "move in" cleaning of the condo I just bought. It was pretty dusty from being staged and having workers coming in and out. They left it looking like a new place. You could perform surgery in that kitchen now!! They even wiped down the baseboards and windows. When I walked in it smelled disinfected, and I love that. Evelyn is very responsive to email, friendly and just wonderful to deal with. I disagree with the posts about their timing. They were perfectly within the window and were very gracious about having to wait for me while I ran in between two houses during my move. They could have stretched the jobs over the two hours, how would I know? They didn't; they quickly finished my checklist and carried on cleaning till time was up. Their cleaning crew is fantastic! They came right in the middle of the time window I was given for when they would arrive, and they worked diligently to make my place cleaner than when we moved in! The front office gave me a fair quote for the initial cleaning, and when it took longer than expected for them to clean my home, they stayed true to the per hour rate that was given in the original quote. The only misstep from them so far has been when I booked recurring cleaning. They were great about accommodating when I wanted them to come, but then they changed their flat rate estimate (originally $145) to $200 per cleaning. They said the increase was because of how big our home was, but I had already given them the square footage information when they made their original estimate. I was surprised by the price difference, but we mutually agreed to $160 per cleaning. I wish there is negative sign to describe the service of this place. A customer presentative who I spoke to did not provide clear information as I requested. She repeated herself rather explaining why. She would provide other unnecessary information only because she could not answered my question. She even blamed me that she was not quite sure what I was asking her while I only ask how they can determine the payment amount based on my property because of the wide range of the estimate. I am so furious that she even blamed the customer. I am not sure how the cleaning would but for sure I would definitely recommend people AVOID this place because of this type of customer service they provided. read more

The move out cleaning was excellent. But the crew parked in our driveway, we told them right away that we needed them to move the car. But they started clock we the 15 minutes it took for one of the to move their car to abundant street parking around our house. That is unfortunate. read more

To preface this review, I have to say that the cleaners did a good job. I didn't schedule this well in advance, so I needed someone to come clean with a week's notice. Cheaper services were booked for the needed time already, and this one had good reviews, so here we go. The cleaners arrived 1.5 hours later than their announced window and no one gave me a warning. I emailed the contact I had there, so she was gracious enough, responded and gave me a 20% discount. I had a tight schedule and because the cleaning a) started late and b) ran much longer than I thought, I was late to my grad school class. Thank goodness for the 20% off, because they cleaned for 1.5 hours longer (3.5 hours instead of 2, which is a huge difference from the estimate) and made this cleaning very expensive for me. I have a 2 bd/2.5 ba condo and it wasn't terribly dirty (it was a move in cleaning), so I am not sure why it took 3 people 3.5 hours to clean it. So for a big difference from the estimate, and being outside of the window, and being higher priced than all other services I checked, I am giving them 3 out of 5 starts. Once again - solid cleaning, but probably won't come back to use them again. read more

I hired them prior to listing my three-level condo/townhouse on the market, as it needed a thorough deep cleaning before it could be shown to buyers. Since I no longer lived in Virginia, my mother was there to greet the three person cleaning crew upon arrival and witnessed them in action during the three hours they were there. She was blown away at their attention to detail, and told me that they did an impeccable job...and she has pretty high cleaning standards. They brought all their own equipment, arrived within the two hour window as promised (though arrived toward the later half of that window), and wore shoe covers in my home. Prior to the day of service, Evelyn, the owner, sent me a thorough quote via email and a break down of everything that would be cleaned in every single room (a multi-page document), which was helpful in knowing what I would be paying for. I provided that list to my mother, and she later confirmed post service that everything had been cleaned as promised. My house is now almost sold with settlement in just a few days, and I will be using Progressive Cleaning to do a thorough move-out cleaning once the home is completely empty for the same price as my original cleaning. I expect nothing short of excellent service from them since that was delivered the first time, and if they deliver that again then I will 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a great and professional cleaning crew in Northern VA! I called progressive cleaning after I got notice from my mother that she was coming for a visit. I looked around my apartment and saw the dust bunnies and realized I needed extra help. I scheduled the appointment for a few days prior to mom's arrival. On cleaning day several ladies arrived ready to clean. I was in the other room working while the ladies dusted, mopped, vacuumed, and generally took care of things. I got a knock on my door letting me know they were finished. My main concern was the baseboards, kitchen and bathroom. I inspected the baseboards closely and found them to be dust free and clean. Kitchen and bathrooms looked great and found that they had managed to make the shower grout look better than I can. I hate cleaning the bathroom so I was glad I had them there to get behind the toilet and get the yucky stuff. I could see that they had dusted even behind my knickknacks and books. I am happy I called and I am pleased with my cleaning. I will call them again next time I need a little extra help, and also just to keep the apartment looking nice. read more

After a recent move/renovation project, with people going in and out of my house, I desperately wanted a professional team to come in and clean. My goodness! I regularly clean my house, but I've been there 25 years, and after so much time and with the recent work done, there were areas that needed attention I just couldn't give. After Progressive was finished, I could have sworn my kitchen (range, microwave, sink, etc.) and bathroom were as they were when I first bought the place. Their service is professional, but overpriced. Plus, you can only reserve an "arrival window", not an exact time, which is very inconvenient. Sometime I need to rush back from grocery shopping because of their early arrival or have to wait and miss my other appointment. I think they should work on their scheduling system. read more
