I had an amazing experience at Pro Health Tarzana. The 2 receptionists were very welcoming and professional. The office was very clean. I was apprehensive about having an MRI and was in pain. I was greeted by the MRI technician, Anthony. He understood my anxiety and knew exactly how to put me at ease with his professional, calm manner. The MRI went very smoothly. Anthony had explained how I could signal during the procedure if I needed anything, that was a great comfort. The worst customer service ever. Their schedulers hanged up on the calls. Call backs will be placed on hold. Maybe it was lack of the ethics. This place manage by a bunch of clowns I needed to get an xray done I called over the phone and spoke to one of the 3 ladies at the front desk Confirming i can come with no order from my Dr , and ill pay out of pocket $60 She told me no reservations is needed just walk in And that the technician is out for lunch from 12:30-1:00 I got there at 12:00 , filled out all paperwork quickly and asked if i can get in before lunch break or should i go and come after 1:00, the front desk lady said yes , you can get in before lunch break Asking again at 12:28 are you sure ? I was out of here in less than an hour, this imaging center is a superior experience and a well oiled machine. They called me the evening before to give me a rundown and check on me. I had to do a CT of the heart w/o contrast. Since this test is not covered by the insurance, I needed to get a quote from them first. So I called them in advance and the representative on the phone confirmed it will be $150. I also called several other imaging facilities and they quoted between $200 to $225 for the scan. So I decided to go with them since their quote was lower. I did it on Sept 2024. Now, 3 months later, they sent me a bill for $300 and they are not answering the phone number they listed for billing questions. Very disappointed with their con way of tricking you into something and not sticking with the quote they provided. read more

This place is a nightmare. I had an appointment at their Sherman Oaks location. A few hours before my appointment, I was notified that their ultrasound technician did not show up to work, so they asked me to go to their Tarzana office, which is quite far from where I live. After driving for over 30 minutes, I was "greeted" in Tarzana by the rudest front desk staff I had ever encountered at a health care facility. The curly haired witch at the front was not in the mood to interrupt her texting just to check me in. She also had zero interest in answering my questions or providing any kind of assistance. Her manners were so offensive I did not fill out the paperwork she gave me and just walked out. At a nail salon, her behavior would be inappropriate, but in a health care setting, treating patients like this is really disgusting. read more

When they say they are going to place you on a brief hold, be prepared to wait 30 minutes. This has been my experience twice now. So i drove there while waiting. The place is empty. Had my test done. Worst customer service I had appointment on Monday morning 7:30am after I drove like 30 min and been there at 7:15 door was closed ! The employee show up at 7:30 and she didn't have key and ask me if you can wait for 30 min she can go get the key or pickup another employee who has a key . No way I can make it . Ok . How about 6:00 no sorry, finally we agreed on 8:00pm . They called me back at 7:00 and. Change my appointment again for 9:00 - ok done On my DR order and my request before MRI I asked for CD of MRI and they handed to me. After 2 days I called them for report of my MRI from 10am until 6pm for more than 20 times no one answered me. Finally I decided to go back there and have copy of my report . Next day I had appointment with my Dr and he said the CD is not working and looks like Empty !!!!! I went back next day and asked for another CD since the first one empty and she asked me to wait for 30 min and they will make it . This time is free but next time $25 external charge , come on I should charge you for all time you guys wasting and I lost my Dr appointment and gas spend for back and forth. I asked them please make sure this time check the cd . After 45 min the front desk told me the CD burner is not working and she will try to call all another offices and they don't answer . I let and call back next day . If shermanoaks or valley village can do it the answer is same THE CD BURNER not working on other offices and I need to go to west hills office on Saturday to pickup the CD . I asked if the office is open all day and I can go after work around 5 and they said sure they are open , I asked can you please confirm it and she said yes, they did and you can go get it You don't believe it if I Tel you I was there at 3:45 and the office was closed. Came here yesterday for a CT scan. I was the only one on the waiting room and you do have to wear a mask to enter the facility. Filled out some paperwork and waited about 20 minutes. The lady who dye my scan was nice and literally it was done in 5 mins. Hard to hold your breath inside a mask, felt super claustrophobic. My technician even helped me get my belly button piercing back in. Parking was easy in their lot and front office girls are pleasant as well. read more

As such, I ended up parking on the street at the meter - oh well. Besides logistics.. 2 out of 5 Stars: The office style felt like an original 70's office that was remodeled to 90's standards. Besides aesthetic... 5 out of 5 Stars: The staff was friendly and made the walk in office visit a breeze. They also made sure I didn't leave without the CD my Chiropractor had requested (I actually forgot but they didn't!). I had called beforehand to find out appointments / hours of business and learned that they take walk-ins from 9am-12pm and 2pm-4pm [this was on a Friday and I cannot comment on any other days]. 3 out of 5 Stars: Walking from the x-ray room back to the waiting area, I noticed A LOT of extra staff sitting in the back on their phones waiting around and doing nothing - it felt like that at times at the front desk too. Perhaps this business staffs their employees to cater to a lot of clients but it was pretty low on patient traffic while I was there. Hey, it's not my business but I would cut back or make sure your employees are putting their time to good use. Let's do the math... 11 / 20 = .55 rounding to a .6 so this company gets an average of 3 stars (3/5 = 60%). There's a method to the madness! Would I come back here for more x-rays? Sure... Communication and instructions were extremely lacking! Greeted with little to no personality by someone who appeared to hate her job. Signed in and simply given a pitcher and cup and told "drink one cup every 20mins". For how long? Snips "Each patient is different". Ok, how much do you have to drink? "4 or 5 cups, we'll see". How much is in the pitcher? "I don't know". Sorry to bother you while you WORK HERE! An older gentleman wanted to change the tv station and was just handed a remote. Ok, not working. Point it at receptionist and it worked. How hard is to say where to point it? Now it's Direct TV and no direction on how to find anything. No sticker nothing. Someone finally help the poor guy. BTW, they had CNN on which was hard to watch during Covid... No news just complaining, it was weird! Why not something local? Covid-19 scheduling not good! At one point there were 7 people in the very small waiting area. Uncomfortably tight so I waited outside. How hard is it to be pleasant to people having to go through these diagnostic test for potentially life threatening issues!! No one wants to go to the dr and for tests, just be nice. I went to this center on May 18 only because they offer a semi-open MRI . I'm claustrophobic so I was feeling anxious the whole time. The lady who helped me named Karen Ogle was very sweet. I told her my predicament and she assured me that it will be alright. She explained to me clearly the step by step procedures that helped me prepare myself. Although they sprayed something cold to numb my shoulders, I still felt the pain (they needed to inject something like a dye to make it clearer) but because Karen held my hand it I was able to endure it. Then, when I went to the machine, i started panicking and hyperventilating and Karen graciously asked me if I want her to be with me for few minutes to which I said 'yes.' But she went beyond the few minutes and stayed with me to finish the whole process. I'm pretty sure I was able to complete the process only because she was kind enough to ask me all throughout if I was ok. Thank you for a very good experience. read more

I had an MRI at this location. For some reason, it was quite a weird process. Most MRI facilities won't even make the appointment for you unless they have clinical notes from the doctor's office, instruction what body part(s) will be scanned. All they did have was a notice from my insurance stating that the MRI was "approved." I had to tell them that I needed an MRI of my left ankle. I guess if I'd told them I needed one of some other body part, they'd have been cool with that too even if my doctor didn't order it. They seriously need to have a changing room for each patient, along with a locker or someplace to put all their stuff (cel phone, jewelry, etc.), not just on the counter right behind the MRI scanner where they could potentially be affected. BEWARE - DO NOT WEAR ANY METALLIC OBJECTS WHILE GETTING AN MRI. If you go into the scanner with them, they can cause serious injury to you and they will mess up the imaging of the MRI, causing a wrong diagnosis. The tech may not notice all your jewelry or belt buckle or even braces that you might be wearing that have metal in them. The tech I had was nice, but if I were the tech, I would totally have the patient wear a gown and put all their stuff in some room other than the one where the diagnostic equipment is. I wouldn't recommend this place. I realized later that they don't even have a website, and their appointment process is crazy. They do call you the day before to remind you, but other places will text you or send you emails. They don't do that. The facility itself just looked kinda old and run down too. I had another MRI some years ago at Liberty Imaging in Encino. WAY better than this, I should've just gone there again (you have to pay $8-10 per hour to park there though.) read more

I needed to get an MRI of my brain and its supposed to be time sensitive. Due to Covid, things are taking longer, fine. I called to make the appointment for an OPEN MRI (im claustrophobic and need an open mri) and they asked for my insurance and i told them aetna (just for fun apparently). I get a ride 30 min away because i needed to get sedated because im claustrophobic and have panic attacks. When i get there they ask if im using attorneys for a car accident from two years ago. No, im using insurance like i said last week when i made this appointment. Then they say there wasnt enough time to get insurance authorization so i had to sign saying id pay if insurance doesnt cover it. Fine. They give me the first sedation in a waiting room full of loud people and bright lights with a mask on so it did nothing and actually was causing me to have a panic attack. I asked to go to a private room and they gave me one and gave the second sedation. Didnt do much. Then the third sedation started to work and i get into the room where the AC isnt working to see a regular, NOT OPEN MRI machine. I asked if there was a fan to blow in there to help with claustrophobia and of course, no. To add to the fun, i have to wear a cage over my face during the 30 min scan. I couldnt do it. So ive been waiting on the curb halfway sedated for 30 min for someone to pick me up. If only place LISTENED to requests. They know how people get when they're claustrophobic and have panic attacks but they somehow thought i was lying about what i needed or thought theyd trick me into it? This wasted an entire day and i still have to do the whole process all over again. These places know the difference between an open mri and a regular one and mislead to get patients in the doors. Its disappointing that we cant rely on medical professionals to do what we need. read more

I have been to this location twice in the last month...one time for myself and the second time with my son. Both needed head cat scans. For my visit, the girls at the front desk were were so accommodating. When I arrived, which is in a great location, all went smoothly during my visit. The tech who did my scan was so sweet! I had not had a scan before this...My son needed a head scan and we did not have an appt. It was 5 minutes before closing, no appt, a walk-in, and the office accommodated him! The front desk girls asked the tech if he could do the scan and he easily could have said, "sorry, no" at that time of day. But did it with a smile.
