Parking was plentiful. Upon arrival the facility appeared small from the outside. Checked in at the front desk and wait in the small waiting area for my name to be called. Once inside, the facility is very spacious and the MRI was an open MRI. Staff explained everything clearly and then set me up for the MRI and everything went smoothly. My MRI took an hour total, and there was nothing to listen to. I was offered ear plugs but since it's an open MRI it really wasn't noisy at all. However I was a bit bored and I think it would have been nice to have any type of music playing in the room. I found myself searching the entire time for shapes in the ceiling holes. Once finished, staff said they could not give me a CD immediately because it wasn't working but they got my info to mail it to me, and I received the CD in the mail only a few days later. Went for a MRI 8/22/25, asked if I could get a copy emailed to me she immediately said yes they would be ready 8/29/25, called this day & was told we can't give them to you until you see the doctor, indicated this was never told to me, asked for the manager and in her voice you could tell she felt powerful she said I am the office manager her name was Tola, I requested her supervisor she said she didn't have one so I said oh you own the place huh? You don't answer to anyone she said her administrator was Heather requested to speak to her she's not in the office will return Tuesday,Monday being Labor Day. To date still no call I called Thursday left another message for heather spoke to another person who promised to send it to me that day still nothing had my appointment today & the doctor office still doesn't have it as well, how's that for customer service, I see why their ratings are so low, zero score from me read more

Arrived promptly as requested, even 10minutes early as directed for paperwork etc. After waiting for 30minutes I asked how much longer, and without hesitation she said oh there's 2 people ahead of you so you'll be waiting probably another 45minutes. No respect for other people's time. I am only now seeing this on yelp as a recurring issue. Avoid this place if you have any respect for your own time. Unacceptable, my mother cannot sit for long period of time as she had a recent surgery. She arrive at 8:30AM because they gave her an appointment at 9:00 AM. However when she arrived the front desk lady very rudely and very disrespectfully said "the technician won't be here until 9:30" so my mother said "why was I given an appointment for 9:00 AM?" And the front lady said "let me check" another gentleman arrived at 8:52 AM and wrote his name under my mom on the check in list. The front desk lady announced that due to traffic the technician was arriving 20 mins late. As he walked in he took the other guy there waiting by the hand, the technician only said "it will be fast ma'am" and they ignored the "list" they ignored the fact that my mother was given an appointment at 9:00 AM and the first guy had arrived later and he was in there until 9:40 AM. So she waited from 9:00 AM to 9:40 AM. I'm only giving this place 2 stars because the technician was respectful when treating my mother but the overall experience was not. My 1st and only visit today was a wonderful experience! Open on a Saturday was an added plus. They also had an open MRI machine!! Stronger then a different med center has in Simi. My technician Zoey, could not have been nicer, she was kind and took the time to explain the process when I could move or swallow and when I couldn't to get the best results. Zory, made a scary (past experience) claustrophobic patient feel as relaxed as if I were home with my own family! It took fifteen minutes and my cervical scan was done! Five minutes later I was walking out the door a copy of the scan on a CD! I have had a few MRI's in my life most bad or unpleasant experiences. I will never go anywhere but West Valley MRI center!! With over 12 years experience of working in the medical profession, I am an extremely tough critic. Having tests are usually not fun but having staff who make you feel comfortable is everything! Took my elderly mother to get a MRI with Contrast because she had a stroke . We got there 15 min prior to our appointment to fill out paperwork. Then we waited almost one hour sitting in their waiting room , then the technician comes and says I'm sorry but we can't do her MRI now 5 pm because I just looked at her prescription and it says with contrast . The doctor is already gone for the day you need to reschedule!! He said whoever made the appointment should have scheduled it for early in the day because the doctor leaves early. Really ???? That's it ?! Then he said you'd have to come next Wednesday a week from today because the doctor is only here on Wednesdays !! We can't wait a week . I thought this was totally unprofessional. I can't believe the scheduling person didn't know the doctor leaves early or she forgot? Still no excuse! They don't look at their schedule in the beginning of the day to see which procedures they have that day ? I almost went postal in their waiting room !!! I do not recommend this place !! When I went for my MRI I was feeling miserable and also a bit fearful of getting in the machine. I was feeling so reluctant. The receptionist was genuine, friendly, and very professional. Then I met the technician, WALTER. He knew I was fearful. His kindness helped to calm my nerves about the procedure. He was so patient. He worked to make me comfortable. He didn't rush and he explained every step to me which again helped me to relax. I had an MRI at another place in the past and the technician was just so impatient and that only served to increase my anxiety. Horrible! Filthy! Kept me waiting 30 minutes past appointment time. They didn't clean the table between patients. They didn't even offer to put a towel on the headrest on the MRI table. Was told our appointment time was 2pm and where asked to arrive 15 min early to fill out paperwork which is pretty standard anywhere you go so we did we arrived by 1:45 pm checked in... the front desk has a sign up hanging saying "Be nice or get out" which I thought was interesting...the magazines in the waiting room where old and falling apart...anyway we ended up getting seen by 3:10 with an appointment... which was irritating... the office itself is very small, tv was off, no one at the front desk to greet anyone,they had a hotel type bell out for New comers to ring in order to get a hold of the sign in sheet. And the outside bathroom doesn't close properly which is concerning...During my MRI the equipment placed on me came undone not once but twice on me which made getting an MRI extremely annoying since they had to start over.. the MRI tech was nice that's about the only good experience I had there. read more
