    A delicious meal! French Toast
    Han P.

Went here with my coworkers to grab some "breakfast for lunch" today- the French toast hit the spot like none other! The food was so good I had to order an omelet to try which was also amazing. If breakfast food is your comfort food- GO TO ANGIE'S GRILL! The non breakfast food items looked really good as well so I am looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu. The waitress was kind and served us quickly and the owner, Aina, was very friendly and accommodating as well. I will be back!

Wow. The food here was amazing. It's a small little place and we weren't expecting much, but this was my second time coming this week because of how good it was the first time. We ordered the steak and eggs and the eggs benedict, the portions are massive, the price is unbeatable, and the food is a 10/10. I think if you have the opportunity you should definitely check this place out!

Clean, Great Service, incredible prices for the quality and value. All freshly cooked when ordered. About $50 for 3 people for breakfast and coffee and an extra side of biscuits and gravy too. Highly recommend!

Vegetable Cabbage soup. Homemade and very good!

1/2. Not bad! Service was outstanding. Miss Angie herself came by the table to check on us. Nice touch. You can definitely tell things are homemade. Fish is hand breaded but not over-breaded. Fresh cornbread served with dinner. The fried scallops were perfect and the onion rings were freshly cut and very good. Definitely homemade soup! I got the vegetable soup (a tad bit salty, but I never salt anything so it is probably fine for most palates) and Stan got the clam chowder, which he liked very much. Dinner came with free bread or rice pudding. We both got the bread pudding. Definitely homemade and yummy. Don't bother with the coffee though. Too weak. So, dinner, coffee and dessert for 2, $20.23! And we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. It's not fine dining, but I don't care what the place looks like as long as the service and food is good. We'll go back to try other menu items.

The menu is huge so our server had to come back several times while we decided. LOL! We finally decide on the French toast breakfast with roasted potatoes and a few over medium eggs. The French toast was delightful and came with a cinnamon sugar butter ( no syrup necessary) my eggs were over cooked which is why this is a four start review and not five. The potatoes were roasted to perfection and salted, so good! The chorizo breakfast crepes were also delicious! The crepes were light, and flavorful the eggs, chorizo, cheese and side of sauces were perfect and was just filling enough not to be heavy. My dates lobster Brie Bennie was delicious as well, their only complaint was the water crest they added as a garnish atop the sandwich which she easily picked off. The ambiance was a bit busy for my taste even if it was a Saturday morning but other than that, five stars. Because it's right near the beach, get there early unless you don't mind waiting.

The location alone makes it a convenient and easy choice if you're staying nearby or heading out for a morning walk along the beach. Breakfast was exactly what you hope for at a casual beachside café. We had coffee, an egg sandwich with bacon, and a Western omelet with cheese. Everything was cooked fresh and made to order, and it definitely hit the spot to start the day. Simple, satisfying breakfast food done well. The service was great--friendly, attentive, and welcoming without feeling rushed. It's the kind of place where the staff makes you feel comfortable right away. Another thing that stood out was the pricing. For a beach location, the prices are very fair, which makes it an even better value considering the quality of the food and the location. If you're looking for a relaxed, no-frills breakfast with good food, great service, and an awesome location near the beach, Beach Shanty Cafe is well worth stopping by.

They also came with a tasty dipping sauce that was unique as well. The Caesar salad was neutral; no strong flavor yet not distasteful. No anchovies taste either. I could take it or leave it.
