From my first phone call, to my eye exam, (which included tests never done at other offices), to frame and lens choices, I felt informed, safe, in professional and caring hands and felt zero pressure. I came in hoping to find some glasses that fit my face. I have a small Asian face. It's really hard to find glasses that are narrow enough to fit the frame of my face and ones that don't slide down my face. I was really impressed by the selection of glasses that they have. I happened to stumble on Project Eyecare because Costco would not be able to get my lenses done on my preferred frames. I can not express how nice, clean, and profession PE was and I will definitely make them my eye care home. I got to meet Dr. Connie Tsai and she was so pleasant, informative, and patient, I honestly felt like I was talking to a friend who just so happened to be a doctor. This was the first time I felt comfortable in an eye clinic, the staff wasn't pushy or gimmicky and let me be in control the entire time. It is a modern looking store with poor customer service. If you would like to buy a pair of glasses for over a thousand dollars and get poor customer service you should definitely shop here. I bought my glasses from here and called upon receiving a text message that they are ready to be picked up. I called to make sure they are available between 12 to 1 pm so I can pick them up. Hope assured me that it is totally fine and said "see you soon". I got to the store with my dog and the receptionist guy told me that they are sorry and I have to take my dog out - there is no sign inside or outside - to inform customers that they are not dog friendly. After being greeted this way the guy told me that everyone is on lunch break and 12 to 1 pm is the time that optometrists/assistants go on a lunch break! He told me to get glasses and come back for adjustments another day or wait until they come from their lunch break (considering that I had to leave my dog in the car). I took glasses and will take them for adjustments somewhere else and will never go back there. read more

This is my first ever Yelp review but I just had to write one. I am VERY impressed by Project Eyecare. My wife and I were both in need of an annual eye exam so we stopped by on a Friday afternoon. My wife went to go get her eyes checked first so I sat in the waiting area looking around simply in awe at how modern and sophisticated this optometry clinic looks. Apparently, they won an award in a magazine for their office design. The office staff, Jessica, was extremely friendly and gave me a discounted coupon for Lasik along with some free beverages and chocolates. I saw Dr Vincent Cano for my eye exam and I highly, highly recommend him. I usually don't ask any questions during my eye exams but he took the time to educate me on proper contact lens wear, eye care, recommendations as to which contact lenses to get, and even walked me through how to maximize my insurance benefits. I had a great experience with Dr. Cano, Dr. Tsai, and Jessica at Project Eyecare. Everything about their environment made me feel welcomed and comfortable, especially at my first appointment. They made their office feel so warm and open for such a modern and bougie design. It was clear both doctors operated with sincerity and were very thorough with their examinations. I needed a new glasses and contact lens prescription, and they were very clear with me about what my insurance would cover and what would be required to pay out of pocket without applying any pressure to commit. Jessica was an absolute gem and helped me find new frames that were comfortable, reasonably priced, and fit my face well. When I came back to pick up my glasses, they were efficient and quick in making sure I liked my frames, my fit, and the new prescription. After wearing my glasses for about a week, and testing the new contact lenses that Dr. Tsai recommended, I feel so confident and can see so much better. Stopped by this place earlier today and right off the bat you see the attention to detail they put into the entire office. It's not just clean, but also purposeful. The glasses were organized in a particular way, but it was still intuitive enough to the normal joe (like myself). This is a husband and wife team which is pretty cool since you don't see that often. Dr. Cano (husband) conducted all the necessary tests and left me feeling relieved. I'm ashamed to say this, but this was my first real eye exam ever and I knew coming in that the news wasn't going to be good. However, he answered every single one of my questions and believe me, I had some stupid ones. (Long use of these glasses won't make my eyesight worse, will it?) Dr. Cano (wife) was extremely pleasant and professional as well. They both brought me many different pairs of glasses for my fitting and you could tell they know what they're talking about. They're okay doing the simple things despite both being highly trained professionals. We finally settled on a pair and at the end of it, I left feeling relieved. I don't have insurance so I was expecting to pay a pretty penny. When they told me the damage, I literally said, "wait that's it?". Moreover, you could definitely sense the passion for what they do. It sorta leaks out. They really care for you as opposed to just trying to make a quick buck. The staff is extremely friendly as well. You want good bang for your buck while having the optometrists look out for your best interests? Come here. You want to get ripped off and just be another dollar at some corporation? The receptionist Jessica was very welcoming and friendly, and both Dr. Cano and Tsai were very friendly and professional. They explained to me exactly what each tests were for and their purpose. Furthermore, they helped explain the best options for contact lenses to match my Insurance coverage. Lastly, they go the extra mile. They helped get the best contact lenses and even guided me step by step through getting a rebate, even responding to emails when troubles arose. Project Eyecare is not your average eyeglass store. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the meticulous design of the interior, which was sleek and modern. The color contrast was unique and tasteful, which added to the overall aesthetic. Dr. Cano asked me questions about the type of glasses I was looking for, and what kind of functionality I needed. Once I specified, he quickly narrowed down the selections to help me find what I was looking for. Once I picked out a frame, he made sure everything fit perfectly and that I felt comfortable wearing them. You can tell that Dr. Cano really wants to make sure that the process is smooth and that you are satisfied with the care/product. I picked up the glasses about a week later, and Dr. Cano gave it one final adjustment to make sure everything was perfect. I originally noticed Project Eyecare while shopping at Jeronimo Plaza. When I searched the providers that my insurance worked with, Project Eyecare popped up on the list. I called and was immediately hooked. I forget who answered the phone but they were extremely helpful, attentive to my wishes and knowledgeable. Their COVID protocol set me at ease and they were so accommodating with my 3.5 year old toddler that came with me to my appointment. They provided snacks and a beverage. They did not ignore her and treated her as any other customer. The Doc, Vincent was so kind and explained everything thoroughly while making sure I understood all he said. When the exam was complete, they had already chosen some frames for me. All of which were great looks! Vincent gave me some great input in chosing my best look. Just had the best experience at this new optometry office. I just came in for an annual check up, and also decided to bring my kiddos with me. I LOVE that our whole family will be able to come and do our annual check ups together. I was a little nervous about bringing my kids in to get their eyes checked for the first time (at the tender age of 4 and 2...) but I was absolutely blown away by Dr. Cano. He was so professional, informative and thorough. He was amazing with my kids and they had so much fun during their entire appointment. They even got their eyes dilated (which I was so nervous about!) but Dr. Cano was so efficient and made the whole process quick and easy. Although the facility is amazing and there is no question that the doctors here are skilled and knowledgable, what I appreciated most was that they really took their time with us. They explained everything so clearly and tirelessly answered my many questions (and I had A LOT of questions as an anxious mom of two littles!) The end of 2019 was coming to an end and I still had vision benefits left to be used. I called my local Costco and they were booked up which led me to Project Eyecare. For once, I am happy that Costco was busy. Finding Project Eyecare led me to Dr. Cano who is extremely professional and friendly. Dr. Cano was able to explain to me the changes he was making to my prescription in easy to understand terms. Dr. Cano was respectful of my prescription and only made minor changes to my prescription and when I put my new glasses on I was seeing clearer than ever. I got Lasik about 10 years ago and my left eye has been slightly blurry/bothering me lately. I made an appointment with Dr. Connie Cano for an eye exam. I was impressed with her thorough explanations of my options and appreciated her patience during the exam. It takes my eyes a second to focus when they switch from one lens to another, and in the past I've noticed optometrists losing patience when I request they flip back and forth. I heard about Project Eyecare from a good friend when they first opened. My friend loves one of the brands they carry that specializes in Asian fit so that's what originally got me interested. Because of COVID, I wasn't able to go back to see my optometrist in Northern California so I decided to check them out. The thing I appreciated the most was how patient everyone was with me! When I had questions, Dr. Cano, Joseph, and Jessica were always happy to answer and help me understand. I haven't had an eye exam in a couple years so the prescription that Dr. Cano and I decided on at first was a relatively significant jump from what I currently have. This prescription helped me to see clearer at night when things were far away. After some hesitation on my end and re-checking things however, we decided to stick to the same prescription that I have been using since it was what my eyes felt the most comfortable with. Dr. Cano really went above to make sure that we were picking what was best for my eyes and me. Jessica was also super helpful and patient in helping me choose the frames. It was crazy that she had already picked out styles ready for me to try on that I liked after the eye exam. I was pretty indecisive at first so she kept bringing out other frames after I pointed out things that I liked and didn't like about the ones I had already tried on. In the end, we ordered one that was the same style but a different color from a pair that I tried on in the store and I absolutely love them! Jessica was also super patient and helpful with some switches we made to the lenses after the change in prescription as well. I picked up the glasses today and Dr. Cano and Jessica had me try them on and adjusted them several times until they fit perfectly and comfortably on me. I recently visited the office. Long story short, I am pretty amazed at how good they treat you in the office. As soon as you walk through the door, you can feel this modern vibe, compared to other offices that feels like the place have been there for ages. There, they give you options of water, juice, and snacks, which really makes the experience much more welcoming. Jessica, the office manager, really treats you with utter respect and enthusiasm. She gave me such a great experience even before I stepped foot inside the office. First, I was turning 26 this past year, so she actually held my benefits before it was terminated so that I can still use it after the deadline. when I finally stepped in the office, I was immediately greeted and was approached by Jessica. She was just wonderful. She never stopped helping me through the whole process of choosing the right pair of glasses. It was like we had known each other for a long time. Anyways, my glasses are great. I love wearing them, they have magnetic clip ons that fit right into my day to day tasks. I am a physician so I am very particular about who I choose as an optometrist and can notice many things bc of my training and background. I've been going to various optometrists up until now and heard about Project Eyecare and Drs Cano and Tsai through people I know at my church. Their professionalism, hospitality, and knowledge is clear. During the first visit, Dr Cano was able to pick up on an eye condition that many previous optometrists (including those at places like Lenscrafters, Pearle Vision) had missed. This has made a world of difference for me on a daily basis. Unless we have serious eye conditions, many times we may think it doesn't matter which optometrist we choose, but I am someone who has experienced the difference it makes when you go see someone who really knows their stuff. I'm sure many of us have experienced how hard it is to find healthcare providers we trust.
