Prolab Digital printed some giclée prints for me and mounted them on plexi. They did a beautiful printing job and the mounting is very good. A few months back I ordered a large panorama aluminum print from them. There was still strict lockdowns in place and they worked with me over email. Their team was fun to work with, their prices are great as I compared to at least 10 other locations across LA. Their price and quality is both amazing. I have been an event planner for many years and I have never encountered a vendor quite as unprofessional as ProLab Digital. I engaged ProLab at the recommendation of a venue manager nearly three weeks ahead of our event. Throughout those three weeks I was rarely able to reach Joe, the owner, via phone or email. When I was able to reach him, he assured me that he was able to take on the job and meet our deadlines. Approximately 6 days before the event, I was finally able to reach him on the phone after days of trying to connect only to learn that he was no longer interested in completing the job for me. He said that I did not meet the deadlined he laid out, despite my submitting files on the day he told me they were needed. When I wrote to him to close out the order and let him know that we found a far more professional vendor, he outright lied about my missing the deadlines, despite the paper trail indicating otherwise. Avoid this business at all costs - they are unprofessional, untimely, and totally unreliable. read more

I work for a company that needed a trade show booth wall setup for magic project. I emailed an order for 2 acrylic prints, they read it as 1 and I only received 1. That print has a couple significant scratches on the face of it. I found this place on Yelp and decided to come here despite the fact that I live over an hour away (result of LA traffic). I arrived and was brought in to a showroom where I spoke to a man that was very knowledgable about materials and the printing process. I asked him for his recommendation for my print and he was immediately sure that a white gloss aluminum would be the best for my print. I was told that it would be 5-7 days before my picture would be ready. The next day, I get a call saying that my print is ready. I come in and am absolutely amazed at the quality of the print. The details are amazingly sharp and I know that this material makes my picture look incredible. This business is not only first class, but the owner Joseph, went way beyond great customer service to make sure that my needs were met. I was on a deadline to get images of our art work that is going to be featured in a major magazine. I was at a loss as to how to give their art department everything they wanted...high res, Tigg, etc. I am not tech savvy and really needed help. Joseph not only took the pictures for me, but walked me through the process of how to load and send them to the magazine through my computer. He really didn't need to do all of that, but he is a very very special person, and incredibly generous. The imaging done by Prolab, with the aluminum prints, was outstanding and impacting. In particular, Nick went out of his way to accommodate my schedule, and the turn around time was as needed. My images were fairly large and held up well; the color matches were right on. There was an item on the billing that appeared overpriced, I addressed this, and Prolab adjusted this accordingly. I am an artist who prints on large scale 2 ply museum board paper, and I was excited when I came across this shop in my new neighborhood who was capable of handling such jobs. One call to Julian who could not understand my request, so he asked me to email his boss / store owner Joe. So I happily wrote up a very detailed email explaining the job, with images. One day, turned into two and no reply. I called the store back and asked Julian if Joe had received my email. His answer was "Joe receives a lot of emails everyday and may have not gotten to it yet." Really, after 2 days he didn't get to a new customers email? I asked him if he can just find out from Joe and get back to me. A few hours later Julian called to tell me the mysterious Joe did indeed receive my email, but just hadn't read it yet. And that was the end of that. Never heard from Julian or Joe again. No reply, no followup of any kind. I've never had so much trouble trying to give someone new business - potentially a lot of business. It must be nice to be a new company who is so busy, they don't have to worry about attracting new customers. read more

I did not have a great experience with Pro Lab digital. The work is excellent but getting it there was exhausting. The office is very disorganized and I was mis quoted on a custom aluminum print after the office Julien confirmed the price in writing, i went to pick it up and I was told I was undercharged. The owner son Joe has a very bad templer and was verbally abussive to me and very unprofessional . He actually said to me that I was CRAZY and not in a nice way. bad temper when challenged. The final product was very nice but not worth the abuse. I will not go back. I was also told my order would be ready to pick up and when I arrived it was not. Pro Lab is a long drive from where I live.I was told that someone emailed me it was not ready...... but they could not show me the email. I will not be going back unless I receive some sort of apology. I am crazy? read more

Took some photos to him from an Icelandic vacation, described what I wanted (large scale prints on aluminum), and what I got back was WOW!!! Bright, accurate colors, with a lot of pop! Joe is a pleasure to work with, very enthusiastic, and committed to producing quality work. So many of the digital printers I contacted had only specific sizes to choose from, which would have required crops to the image that I didn't want to make; ProLab will print up full-frame images regardless of the dimensions, and that's great.
