I usually get a gel manicure and pedicure with them and they always meet the mark! The vibes are very calm as well, good r&b or pop music is often playing, and I realize I'm not really hit with those toxic nail polish fumes when I'm in there as they usually keep the A/C running or have a good airflow in their place. Overall, I come here when I know I need my nails done by people who care. Also, I love that Sophie is easy to reach when it comes to making an appointment. She is so responsive & sweet! Instead of being accommodated, the manager accused me of no-showing, refused to reschedule, and ended the call abruptly by hanging up. I later came into the salon to calmly address the situation. The manager denied his behavior and continued to be dismissive. No one attempted to resolve the issue or offer an apology. As a Black woman and loyal customer, I left feeling disrespected and profiled. I did not receive service and the matter was not handled professionally. I'm sharing this experience so others are aware of how customer concerns are handled here.

A lot of shops advertise "luxury" pedicures, but Nell's Palace truly delivers. Nothing was rushed, it was relaxing, enjoyable, and felt like a real treat. We both left feeling more relaxed and rejuvenated than we have from any pedicure before. I had Kim, who did an amazing job with great attention to detail, and my wife had Hannah, who gave her one of the best massages she has ever had during a pedicure. Although the chairs in the front waiting area could use some cleaning and there were a flies and small bugs in the back area that wouldn't leave us alone, I still can't take away any stars because the pedicure itself was that good. She was very careful with the nail drill and when I expressed that it felt hot at one point, she was more cautious afterwards. Cuticle removal was also meticulous and not once was I cut. The gel polish was applied evenly and there were no bubbles or unevenness which I appreciate--being picky with my nails. The salon itself was very clean and spacious, with many spa chairs for pedicures and manicure tables. I paid a total of $51 ($40 for gel mani, $10 soak off--with service, and $6 tip but 10% off when you pay cash) which is quite reasonable compared to other places anywhere in the bay. I will definitely be rebooking with Sophia and recommend her to anyone just looking for a great gel mani.
