I did a last minute walk in service was great ! Vibe was nice ! How ever I do think they should sterilize there tools After each use! Wipe down seats and chairs after each customer! Body heat, body sweat and germs are real ! Maybe use some lemons and rose pedals for pedicures and manicures. they are under new management right now , I went in for a fill I feel like she rushed my fill and was very ruff I would say it took her about 30 mins to do my full fill with polish and design i also feel like the paint job is very sloppy , I had to tell her she only did 1 coat on my left hand and she thought she did 2 and kept saying she know she did 2 coats , I also think that the service was very poor ! I asked for a pedicure, but instead, my toes were severely injured. I questioned the nail technician, "Am I supposed to bleed that much?" He replied, "You have ingrowns," which didn't address my concern. He used numbing and blood clotting powder, so I didn't feel much pain until I got home. When I asked how to care for the cuts on my toes, he just nodded and said, "Okay." It's been three days, and my toes are still throbbing and painful to walk on. In 30 plus years of getting pedicures regularly, I've never experienced anything like this. I am extremely disappointed with the service. I called the salon twice about the issue, but they have yet to contact me. I do not recommend Ruby's Nail Salon and hope no one else has to endure what I am experiencing. It's disappointing when you call to make an appointment and are quoted $50 for a manicure and pedicure; and when you come in and they don't fulfill services for the # of people in my party and they charged us $60. If you're going to increase your prices, at least provide better service or at least create an ambience that matches. No music playing or TV on, there's nothing to look at, it wasn't memorable and I wouldn't recommend this place to a neighbor. read more

Found this place on Yelp. The hours are great. They have every color and every brand of nail color that is out on the market. Most places only have I think the brand is DNC ? Idk but you all know what I'm talking about. They are quick, within budget, and they do good work. I will be going back and spreading the word about this place. read more

I have been to Ruby's Nails 3 times now, and have had my nails done by Ruby herself. I really appreciate how meticulously she does my nails making sure to care for my natural nails. I decided to try this place out because of the convenience of it being close and not having to travel in traffic to get my nails done. Starting off with arriving to the place, its a nice clean shop, but when you walk in the smell of all the nail solution was over bearing and it didn't seem to have any ventilation. My mom and I both got classic pedicures ($22) which was ok. They did the job of cleaning and quickly scrubbing, but there are other places you can visit who take the time to massage your feet and legs and use the exfoliating scrub for a basic pedicure at the same price or even a few dollars less. But again, it'll get the job done if you're in need of a quick pedi. My mom also got a gel manicure which she was happy with. But when it came time to do my full set, she asked if I can come back in about an hour and half because she had to go to an appointment, which I didn't mind since it wasn't too far. I came back around 5:15 and I didn't get done until almost 7. As she was starting my full set, everything was going great. Then when it came down to shaving and shaping the nails I noticed that she didn't shape around my cuticles. I did ask her about it and she said it was fine, and being a person that gets there nails done, by now, you already know the whole process. SO I gave her the benefit of the doubt. After all the "work" she did, I washed my hands and she did the polish and you can see that there was no shape around the cuticle area and the clear gel polish was going over past my nails. after it cured, it was horrible. My hands felt like they were covered in nail polish. I asked her to fix it and she used the tool they use to clean under your nails but there was still no fixing being done and It got to the point where I WAS FILING MY OWN NAILS and she was watching me! Very disappointed and surprised that she said that she also works at a shop they have in Concord. And lastly, what threw me over the edge was she made a raciest remark when an African American woman walked in to get her nails polished. "We have THEM BLACKS pay before they get work done so we know they don't walk out." like really?! The work and attitude of this place is not worth it. read more

Need to work on custom service more. The female has an attitude, like hardly talks but even in her silence there's attitude, and I ask to give advice but she's just quiet like she doesn't care. She only talks to the male worker (her husband) nicely which is great but you're at work! I asked to file the sides of my nail before applying the top coat (because every other time the polish application looks sloppy on the sides so I requested it filed regardless if it's an extra step they don't usually do themselves) and she acted like she didn't understand why and continued to act like she didn't want to do it. I get home and still see jagged sides. It's like just do your job without all the attitude, ESPECIALLY if you're expecting a tip. I'm not sure what's going on with people and not wanting to give good service esp when you know you need the money. There's a dozen nail salons to switch to, so I'd step up your customer service skills. read more

Went here for the first time today since it's down the street from my home. Nice and clean place. The young lady that did my mani and pedi did a really good job and was very friendly. I did a gel manicure with different color in each finger, she was even excited for me and picked the colors and order for me! For my pedi she made sure I liked the color even told me she could do one nail and remove it if I wanted to try another color, same with my gel mani! She told me if in the next few days there was something I didn't like to come back and she would fix it! I paid $45, very reasonable. Seriously spent 2.5 HOURS here the other day. Did a walk in for a fill and was told there was a customer before me. Ok that's fine so I got a pedi while I waited. The guy who did my pedi damn near scrapped my big toe nail of when cleaning the edges and when I said ouch he had the nerve to ask me if I hurt it before coming because he was just cleaning it. Then proceeded to dig in it again! It's a few days later and it still hurts but lucky for them, not infected. Then I went on to my fill and the lady is making a ton of personal phone calls and taking her time doing my nails.. not taking her time in a good way. She was just too busy. So we get to the polish and I said I just wanted black. So we proceeded with what looked black and at the end I had a smudge and she had the nerve to say it's because I hit it inside the light thing while drying. So with attitude she filed it down, had someone else repaint it and while I was drying in her crap light thing she says ok you're done.. twice. Like yes I hear you but I'd like to make sure it's actually dry. Left the salon only to realize the polish was some sort of midnight and not black at all! Went here because my nail lady was booked and it's right down the street but it'll definitely be the last time I go. Hell, ladybug by target is better then this place. read more

This is my second time at this nail shop. They usually do a great job. But on Thursday I walk in at about 5 PM. I need to get a pedicure and a fill. They say it's going to be 30 minutes. In about 30 minutes they say they can do my toes but not my hands. Because they were overbooked. That is not my problem. Long story short i was there a total of 3 hours. The gentleman that did my nails he did a great job. I asked him what my total was and I paid $75. I get up to leave and the short lady with the glasses follows me outside and asked if I paid. I say yes and then the younger girl comes out and tells me that I did not pay yet. I walked back to the doorway and I see the guy and I asked him didn't I pay? And he said yes. Their customer service sucks at this nail shop they need to work on it not only did you have me in there for three hours and you charge me $75 and then you accuse me of not paying that's poor costumer service. read more

Then he has me wait for 20 min just to put me in the pedicure chair for another 20 min and then no one even acknowledged me - when I had asked for a fill, at the time I had booked the appointment. Then the girl doing my nails - was watching a YouTube video while doing my nails! I was there for over 3 hours! Only to come home and 30 min later, my nail chips. They are not clean, they didn't clean a single pedicure bowl, during the entire time I was there, and continued to reuse the same ones. I was very happy with the service that Amber did for me. Unfortunately she is not always there because she goes to school but if I make an appt I can have her do my pedicure and manicure. She is very gentle as my feet are very skittish. I had to go somewhete else the last time and vowed I would not go there anymore. I won't say the name of that place, I can only say that I will go back to Amber even if I have to wait for her. The place is clean and I'm sure if you asked for extra massages they would do it. I have to say that they are not constantly talking with each other and they do devote their time to the client. I hope they do well. I've been here a few times and never had issues. I went yesterday for a pedicure and the entire place stunk from some horrible incense and was super smoky inside. I also just got a weird vibe from the people there that I hadn't seen previously. Then some older lady kept trying to get me to get a more expensive pedicure when I wanted was the basic one. There were a few guys in there, I guess they work there or were related to someone who does, not sure. Both of them kept asking me what nail polish I wanted, even after saying more than once I brought my own. I decided to just leave. And when I was pulling out the parking lot, I turned my head and someone had followed me to my car trying to wave me back in. That's a little crazy! So happy I randomly found this new nail salon today. Walked in was greeted warmly with familiar faces . So I asked where the lady Lisa had worked previously to put two and two together. She lets me know this is the second shop of the same place I used to go to in concord called ruby nails as well. It had been a while since I been to their other nail salon due to not working that way anymore. But I this shop just opened close to my house and I couldn't be more pleased. Lisa did my nails I did acrylic overlay with gel on my natural nails the first time ever since I had some natural growth. Lisa took her time and was very sweet and made me laugh with the conversation . The salon is new and very clean the other two ladies working were very nice as well and helped me pick out my color since I had a photo I wanted from Pinterest. They had so many nudes which I love and all the colors are brand new. The location is not as popular yet or as visible; but worth finding near the Nations burgers and the Filipino restaurant. I will definitely be going back to Lisa and recommend to my friends and family. read more
