I am particularly impressed with how the caregivers and teachers take a genuine interest in the progress and lives of each of the children in their class. Whenever I've had questions, the Orchards Director has been easy to reach and prompt in her responses. The classrooms have been recently renovated and are kept clean. There is a good variety of age appropriate and safe toys in all of the classrooms. Security is well maintained with video monitoring, keypad access to facilities and fenced outdoor play areas. I love the phone application that they use for the secure check in and out procedure, as well as the photo updates throughout the day. Their Junior Kindergarten class is quite robust in its educational curriculum. The lead Junior Kindergarten teacher has been teaching young students for over 20 years, I believe. I'm honestly impressed at the progress my four year old has made behaviorally and educationally. They also have done a great job at offering events throughout the year. Kids Christmas program, picture days, Easter egg hunts, "pumpkin patch" etc. I couldn't recommend the Orchards more.

We were able to connect with other families, and we're still close friends with several of the parents we met there. So, for us it was a huge win-win for the kids and for us.

There are so many wonderful things to say about LPW-B but first and foremost will always be the dedication of the teachers and staff to the kiddos. Many teachers have been there for over 10 years and that certainly speaks to their love for the job and how they are treated by the administration (just ask anyone in childcare, esp. from a larger chain). They're also very accommodating to your child's needs -- my son has many food allergies and also requires the use of a feeding tube. The teachers & admin had zero qualms about providing him with his tubes feeds (twice daily at specific times). This was a huge relief as first time parents who really struggled getting the appropriate nutrition to their kiddo and then had to worry about food allergies and whether or not medical accommodations could be made. Finally, the monthly tuition is incredibly affordable. For both of my children, the monthly tuition is equivalent to my friend's one child at one of the nearby larger chains. The only "negative" I will mention is that if you really like the idea of having real-time updates via an app, LPW-B is more like your traditional elementary school where you'll get an update at the end of the day.

One of the directors spent over an hour with us, giving us her full, undivided attention. She walked us through their thoughtful policies, emergency plans, and the real-world actions behind them. As we met other staff members and teachers throughout the tour, it was clear they genuinely enjoy working together and truly care about the children. That first impression has held true every day since. Our son had a tough time adjusting at first; going from a nanny to a bustling daycare environment was a big change. But the staff showed remarkable compassion, patience, and communication throughout the transition. They kept us informed at every step and worked gently with him as he adapted. I went through a life altering event in my life and they were supportive. Latest drop off is at 930am unless you let them know ahead of time. They stop serving breakfast at 830 as well. They are friendly and I enjoy their parent-kid interactions -pie day, graduation day, tea party. It is on the pricey side. For preschooler-age, it's over $1600/mo. Sometimes it can be short staffed and they'll let you know if you need to pick up your kid earlier. They have an app and you can see what they're doing. Sometimes I get photos in the app where my kid isn't in the picture. When they are busy, sometimes I don't get any pictures which is understandable. I want them to focus on what's really important. Also the app lets parents send email and communicate to the director and teachers. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to get a conference in the school year. They were so busy with the end of year party that I had to make sure that I had everything packed before leaving. I liked that the teachers use white boards/paper. Let's do one better and have the kids take turns going up and presenting. I think they already do that for days of the week, etc. Overall, decent place. Daycare isn't easy and they try hard to improve their image. I know they have had rough reviews but not sure how truthful they are. Ms. Cynthia is great! She's so sweet and friendly and patient when I'm late picking up my little one. Also, Ms. Maria too! She may not bubbly but she teaches stuff and now my kid knows Spanish because of her.

We also noticed that staff can be very stressed at times due to being shuffled around from class to class. We finally left (intending it to be temporary) due to our second child being born. Our son had his pictures taken right before we gave our notice and requested to purchase it as well but we never heard back after multiple attempts. TL:DR Depending on the teacher that you have your experience can vary by a lot. If management can do a better job with keeping the staff less stressed/happy I don't think we would hesitate with coming back.
