    Quick service
    Allen N.

Looking for a quick and convenient way to refill your propane tanks? Well, check-out Propane Man located in Kalihi, across Pu'uhale Elementary School. Their filling station is set-up like a fast food drive thru. One way in... One way out, which makes refueling super simple and incredibly convenient. They'll even help you unload your tank/s if needed. You'll also appreciate their friendly, knowledgeable and courteous service. Time to get grilling... Yumm!

Fast, convenient, and reliable. My go-to location for propane. Horrible roads getting there, but it's worth it.

Simple and easy! Get your propane tanks filled and/or certified on the spot. I'm usually in and out in 5 minutes. They take cash or card.

Convenient. Very pleasant guy. Cost includes his help. A few more dollars than going to Home Depot.

Hey, how come there's no review of this 76 gas station in McCully???…read more Shoots den', I go kokua & drop a review on Yelp to help this business out! Lol! Located just next door from the McDonald's in the McCully neighborhood, you can find this little gas station that not only serves gas, but they also sell propane. Over the years I have patronized this gas station as they used to sell "racing gas", and now I see that they sell "ethanol free" gasoline. Basically this gas station just does fuel, and they have a small area where they sell a few convenience items by the cashier's booth. No car repairs, or safety checks done at this location, but not to worry gang, as the McCully Union Service also has another service site on Beretania Street where they actually do car repairs & safety checks. Of course at the Beretania location where they do car repairs, they don't dispense any gasoline, that's what the McCully location is for on S. King Street (just next door to the McCully McDonald's).

This 76 Gas Station is located on South King St before McDonald's on the right side of the street…read more You can fill up gas or have your vehicle serviced. They also sell some items inside by the cashier. What am I doing at a gas station you may ask? Well it was because I ran over a nail and my tire was leaking air. Fortunately it wasn't the sidewall. I called first to see if they worked on Tesla vehicles because you need special pucks to lift the vehicle. They didn't have the pucks but luckily I have a set. I brought them with me in the event they could fix my tire. When I arrived, I told them they needed the pucks to lift the car to not damage the battery and vehicle. The mechanic just looked at the location of the screw and said he could do it without lifting the vehicle. I was so confused because you have to lift the vehicle to take off the rim. Turns out he was able to quickly do it on the ground. They don't patch the tire but plug it here so it all made sense when I saw what they did. The entire process was completed in minutes! They were quick and I was out of there in no time. Personally, a patch or plug doesn't matter too much because it fixes the problem of air leaking out of the tire but patching does take time. It takes at about an hour at shops that offer patching because the rim comes off the vehicle and the tire is removed from the rim (could be longer than an hour if they are busy). I'm not sure which is better long term though as I'm not a tire expert. Since I had my tire patched not too long ago, I found plugging was a tad more pricey. Is it worth it? I think so due to the time it took to do it and the fact they didn't have to take off the rim nor jack up the vehicle. No risk in damaging the rim, vehicle or battery. Good option for a quick plug if you encounter a nail/screw in your tire!

But step in powerhouses of Home Depot that opened in Iwilei in 1999 and then Lowe's Home Improvement (LHI), that took over Eagle Hardware and Garden in Waikele and then opened this location in Iwilei in 2011. LHI originated in North Carolina in 1921 and has expanded to over 1700 locations nationwide. They also tested their home improvement business in neighboring Canada and Mexico but currently only focuses in the United States. I've been to LHI a handful of times and although I'm not a professional, I've noticed the pricing here is more economical than their rivals but lacks in the customer service. It can be very challenging at times so reach out to a sales associate for assistance. I do like there's also ample parking and multiple entries to LHI as Nimitz Highway can be congested during peak hours so it's better to enter here from the back entrance. I recently came here to shop for refrigerators as they also carry a large selection. Luckily my BIL accompanied me and he's quite knowledgeable with the different features and various companies. There were some questions we had and unfortunately it wasn't easy to flag down an associate. We did come across several not to far away but they were either huddled up socializing or not available as this guy was busy with his cellphone. Although LHI had a model that I was interested in as well as less expensive for an identical model, i ended up selecting a refrigerator with their main competitor. It doesn't hurt to do due diligence. LHI is a great option for those who are knowledgeable in this field and don't need much service. But for your everyday average Joe, customer service could be better here to address questions and concerns to home improvement.

I emailed Customer Service with my termination request. Response back was I should call them as they need additional information. I call them back and WAIT on the line for 40 minutes before I disgustingly hung up. 2. I go to the physical Hawaii Gas office. What a shame! a. only ONE customer service window that services payments and all open matters. b. Parking is one big ZERO (fortunately, they are located in close walking proximity to my office which is what I ended up doing) c. If you're not first in line FORGET IT (I waited for 10 minutes and my turn was no where in sight) I left with the idea to be the first in line on my next try by going first thing at their opening 3. After all of this I am still in a holding pattern waiting a PHONE CALL from a technician or installer to schedule a time to get to the service residence BOTTOM LINE- If you really need to use gas get those table propane burner stove tops or get electric (after you install your solar panels of course) Imagine, I'm still waiting to close this account and get the cylinders removed and it's been 37 days since I've started this task. The charges will continue until such time the cylinders are removed. Go figure! One star for the CSR who helped me. I felt bad as I'm sure she gets a bunch of junk from customers having to deal with procedure and protocol of Hawaii Gas... She was polite and helpful. The rest of the issues are out of her control. #nevergas #electricrules #propane
