I recently ordered facial masks from Proper Cloth. This was my first experience with the company but it will not be the last. Much to my chagrin, I inadvertently ordered two 3-packs instead of one. It was too late to change my on-line order so I contacted their customer service department by email. Within minutes, a real person emailed me that they had refunded the full amount of the second set of masks and, furthermore, told me to keep the second set with their compliments. They even suggested that I donate them. As it turns out, my daughter is an ER/trauma RN working in an inner-city hospital in downtown Phoenix, which is currently ground zero for the highest number of new cases of COVID worldwide. She has mentioned that patients are still coming in with inadequate and ill-fitting facial masks contributing to the rapid spread of the virus. The hospital is overwhelmed with new COVID patients and frequently runs low on PPE supplies for their own health care staff, therefore they do not have additional masks to give o patients. My daughter was thrilled when I gave her the extra Proper Cloth masks to distribute to patients who otherwise would not be able to afford such high quality face masks. I have never had a custom fitted shirt before and after this experience I may never go back to a regular shirt. After purchasing a tuxedo shirt from a department store I realized that the neck was too large when I tightened the bow tie and was dismayed to discover that no stores would carry my size, thus I would need a custom shirt. The only problem is that I was to be married to 2 weeks and couldn't possibly imagine finding any place that could accommodate my need on such short notice. After searching the Internet for custom shirts in NYC I luckily stumbled across Proper Cloth. I called them and they gave me an estimate complete date that would be just one day before my wedding assuming all went well. Proper Cloth puts a focus on a good online shopping experience, and provides easily accessible help for people that don't know how to figure out their measurements, which makes ordering from them pleasant and easy. The shirts are made perfectly to specifications, and they allow for a huge amount of customization without it being overwhelming or redundant, which helps make the shirts feel more personal. It's expensive, but actually worth it imo -- the shirts live up to the price if you are responsible in your decision making about which and how many fabrics to buy, and how well you measure yourself. They also provide a single free resizing of one shirt from your first purchase, so if you get the size wrong the first time, you can have another chance with no extra cost, which you'll probably have to do the first time because measuring yourself for an online order is tough. I've had a great experience with their online service so far, and am happy with everything about my shirts. Never been to the shop in person though. read more

Proper Cloth is awesome. I'm a tough fit (shorter, fit, bigger chest than waist, etc.). Any shirts I used to buy off the rack, regardless of price or location, were either too big in the waist or at risk of popping buttons if I stretch my arms. Didn't seem to matter if I get "athletic fit", "fitted", etc. Proper Cloth changed all of that. I created my custom size, ordered my first shirt, and will never buy another shirt anywhere else. They have a huge selection of fabrics, colors, and styles, and the ability to customize (collars, cuffs, etc.) is simply awesome. Being able to get a quality, custom-fitted shirt for under a $100 simply cannot be beat. I've also invested in a couple of the more expensive fabrics and have been very happy with the quality and feel of the shirts. I love the ability to have a huge selection and the confidence that the shirt will fit properly.
