Gave them a call and gave me a great price quote over the phone! No BS like "we have to see it first" or anything like that and a lot cheaper than most places. You do have to have somebody else remove your tires off the rims first however. Fernando and his brother have been in the biz for over 8 years. Took a look at his work and was impressed. Dropped off my set of rims and got them back a few days later. Basically he sends it out to get it stripped of the previous coat, gets them back the next day or so and works on it. 3 day turn around is pretty good. He's pretty detail oriented about his work. If he doesn't like it, then he'll redo it. I had my rims powder coated in matte black which is 20% gloss, 80% flat. Love it! Thanks again and highly recommend! Also, I don't know why on the yelp map it has it listed somewhere near Inglewood. It's off the 605 on Slauson.

When I found out this part wasn't coated and brought up this issue to Gloria, she didn't have much care to resolve the issue nor offer a halfway solution to fix it. She just simply stated that she didn't recall me pointing it out, and that's it. So overall, I'm some-what happy with the job. The most important part of the job is the exterior of the rollbar, and that got coated came out beautiful. Just disappointed and turned off by the lack in customer service when an issue arise.

Dr. Wheel is on the lower side of the equation. The other thing, they come to your house. Say what? Got me wondering how solid of a repair we were looking at. Well, once I dug into the process, saw that the work is warranted for a year, I figured I'd give them a shot. First, we had them do two aftermarket wheels which relatively minor damage. The result was pretty incredible. The wheels looked good as new and honestly, I couldn't remember where the blemishes were . Months later the wheels looked great. Today, we got four wheels on my wife's car done, all with curb rash to a varying degree and the result was great. The challenge today wasn't the damage, it actually wasn't super complex or extensive. It was the color. From the factory, the color is pretty unique, but the Dr. Wheel team got it pretty much exactly. A special shout out to Jonathan, who came out to our house twice and did a great job. Friendly, professional, thorough, and just an all around solid dude. Not that I hope to get more curb rash on any of our wheels (nor do I wish that for you!), but if we do, we will definitely go back to them. We've already referred them to a few neighbors.

What's more, Colin (the owner's son) is incredibly honest. The first estimate he gave me included about $1,500 for a clear coat he said was needed for the color I chose. I signed the estimate and paid 1/2 for the deposit. Then Colin called me to say that he wouldn't need to do the clear coat after all, so he was taking that money off the second payment and sending me a new invoice. So many businesses wouldn't have bothered doing this once the client signed and agreed, since they could have pocketed the additional money and I would have been none the wiser. Not these guys! Given that experience, and the finished product, I recommend these nice, honest, small-business owners 1,000%. CFR Patio isn't cheap, but it is more than worth it if you have pricey patio furniture, since redoing my 25 pieces of furniture cost about the same as buying 4-5 replacement chairs. Oh, and their delivery guys are incredibly nice and helpful. Helped me move around the furniture more than once to get it all back the way I wanted. Really can't say enough good things about CFR! Seeing his other responses to similar experiences I expect his response to this will be dismissive with no accountability. Don't do business here. I recently had a terrible experience with a wheel powder coating service that I cannot overlook. From start to finish, the process was an absolute nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my harrowing encounter to warn others. Firstly, I entrusted them with my wheels for powder coating, and they initially promised a quick turnaround, stating that I could pick them up the very next day. However, upon arriving to collect my wheels as agreed, they were not even close to being ready. This set the tone for the disappointing journey that followed. After being told to return the following day, I found that my wheels were indeed completed, but to my dismay, they were marred with spots and blemishes all over the rims. Understandably, I requested them to rectify the glaring issues, but the response I received was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. The staff questioned why I was being "picky" and reluctantly agreed to correct the imperfections, instructing me to return after two more days. Eager to get my wheels in proper condition, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and showed up as directed. To my utter shock, the wheels were still in the process of being stripped down, and it seemed like they hadn't made any progress at all. At this point, my patience was wearing thin, but I was assured that they would be ready by a new date, which was extended by a whole week from the original estimate. Fast forward to the promised date, a Saturday, and the wheels were still incomplete. The blatant lack of professionalism and disregard for customer time and trust was apparent. I was then told to come back on Monday, making me question if my wheels were ever going to be done. Finally, on Monday, I returned with hopes of finding my wheels fully restored. However, I was met with a disheartening sight - my wheels were not only stripped down but were also scratched and dented, making them entirely unusable. It was evident that they had completely mishandled the coating process, and to add insult to injury, they had the audacity to suggest that I take my business elsewhere. Based on this nightmarish experience, I must vehemently advise against anyone seeking wheel powder coating services from this establishment. The unprofessionalism, the constant delays, and the appalling quality of workmanship make it clear that this place is not to be trusted. If I could leave a a Zero Star I would, dropped of my Spoon brake calipers to them for a simple powder coating that should not take longer than a week. 3 weeks went by and I called the owner multiple times asking for a status update and he kept telling me it will be finish 3 days out, called again 3 days later and he kept giving me a different date. Got really tired of the excuses so I went to the shop which was about an hour away from me, when I got there and talked with an employee I later found out that the calipers has even been painted. I had a great experience with Proper Motion Powder Coating. Not only was the quality of the powder coating top notch, but the whole process was incredibly convenient. One of the best parts is that they handle the full tire dismount and mounting service in-house, which saves a huge amount of time and hassle. Dropped off my Mercedes for gloss black wheels and a chrome delete. They explained the process very thoroughly. They didn't use any wrap vinyl for the chrome delete. They used automotive paint. I've seen chrome deleted wraps and the automotive paint looks way better, so glad I went this route over having it vinyl wrapped which always looks like crap After a few months. The wheels came out flawless as well, And they clear coated the wheels to help deter micro scratches. My wife is getting a new car soon, and I'll be sure to take it to these guys ASAP. read more

Purchased a new Grand Highlander in May of 2024. Toyota wanted almost $3k for the OEM version. Found Proper Motion and set up an appointment. They removed the "glue on" chrome covers that came with the Platinum Grand Highlander and due to the glue had to keep them soaking overnight. Picked up the vehicle the next day and their work was top flight. Less than half the costs of what Toyota wanted, had the rims on less than 48 hours after the appointment, same week. Would have had to wait for over a month through the dealer. Highly recommended. read more
