They replaced the connection, I believe using a ProPress crimping tool. (He said the tool cost $3000.) The job looks solid, and they were professional, what I've always expected out of this company. The manager handled a issue I had with the billing personally, making sure everything was settled fairly and promptly. They've always been my go to for service and remain so.

While the initial rough-in work was done well, the management and office communication since then has been an absolute disaster. I have been trying for three weeks to get them to finish the final trim and fixture installation: Week 1 & 2: I was repeatedly promised the technician would call me to schedule. I was completely ignored both weeks. Week 3: I finally got them to schedule a day. I received numerous text/email confirmations, took time off to be home, and nobody showed up. When I called for an update, the office admitted they never actually dispatched anyone and failed to tell me. This Week: They rescheduled the original technician for Thursday. On Wednesday, they called to say he had been in an accident and rescheduled him for Friday instead. On Friday morning, they called to cancel again, stating the technician couldn't make it due to the accident. Why did management schedule an injured employee for active field duty without checking his condition, rather than simply sending a different electrician to finish the job? My project is completely stalled, the wires are sitting exposed, and I have paid 100% upfront for labor and fixtures. I asked to speak directly with a manager to settle this, but my request was ignored. I have deep sympathy for the injured technician, but this company's administrative staff is completely incompetent, dishonest about dispatching, and uncommunicative. Avoid this company if you value your time.

Another company had giving me pricing without even coming to look and it was $88. They charged me $69 for just coming out and looking at it. How unethically can a company be, they purposefully had the technician come out so they would get money from me either way.

I at first called Applewood who has done some HVAC work for me in the past but they would not give me an estimate over the phone. So after speaking to some of these other companies it was the same scenario--we won't quote on the phone as every job is different and they need to see it. This was the same with RooterGuy. All the people I spoke to were obviously just appointment setters. Anyway, someone from RooterGuy followed back up with me that was a plumber or at least knowledgeable about the job and he gave me range in price, which I appreciated. RooterGuy was also not going to charge me a trip fee ($29-$49 from other companies) to come look and give me an accurate estimate. So I decided to have them come out and look. The plumber that did come gave me a price that was over the high end of the range provided on the phone. We went back in forth for a minute and the plumber called back to the office and spoke to the person I had gotten that price range from. Anyway, it was decided they would do the job for $595 which was about $120 less than what was quoted from the plumber on site (or the midpoint of the range provided on the phone). They were here and could do the job and I felt like that was a fair price. There were a couple of things the plumber did that I was not happy about (hence the reason for 4 stars and not 5), but in the end it appears they did a good job and so far, no leaks. I would most likely call them again as they do seem to have slightly better pricing than some of the other Bigger names seen in Denver (Applewood, Bell, Plumbline etc).

Recently, I used them to have my main sewer line cleaned out and they did a great job. Their team was super helpful and courteous while onsite, and helped us clean out the mainline. We had a small misunderstanding regarding billing, and they were very helpful and quick in helping me get it resolved. Their team at the office is also very helpful at answering calls and questions as well. Easy to get ahold of them any time of the day any day of the week. After all the sheet rock and plaster were ripped out by the disaster remediation people, had to engage a plumber to replace the pipe and correct some other mistakes from a previous contractor. After another plumbing company first sent an ill-prepared technician and THEN no-showed for another appointment, I reached out to Brad from Excalibur based on his Yelp reviews. He came right out, assessed the problem and provided a quote. While he wasn't able to come out to do the work on the originally-proposed day, he came the following Saturday morning and had us back in business by the afternoon. In addition to the nasty nature of the problem, we don't wear shoes in the house; with both concerns in mind, Brad was very professional and fastidious in his approach to keeping the house clean and tidy. Plumbers aren't vendors you hope to ever need, but if "duty calls", Brad's the guy to handle it.

Mile High Plumbing & Air came out to diagnose the problem but never followed up with a quote or…read moreservice, leaving my family and me hanging for a couple of weeks during a heat wave. My home warranty had Mile High Plumbing and Air do a service call on our A/C where the condensation line was leaking. AJ came on a Friday evening and recommended installing a condensation pump and a few other miscellaneous items. Great. He couldn't perform the work that day, so he said he'd send me a quote and provide his report to insurance the next day (Saturday). This was during a heat wave, so I asked I asked him to come back out as soon as possible. I didn't hear from AJ on Saturday, so I called his office on Monday to ask for the quote. The office said they'd contact AJ for the report and quote. On Wednesday, I still hadn't received the report or quote, so I called again to ask for the quote and to file the report with my insurance company since we needed that to perform the work. On Thursday, I still hadn't heard anything, and by this time, it had been five days since their initial visit. Temperatures were in the mid-90s, and my upstairs was nearly 90 degrees, with the family unable to sleep upstairs. We were all on inflatable mattresses downstairs. I called my home warranty company to see what to do since the report to them was due within 48 hours of the service call. The home warranty company called the office, which said they'd have the report in that day. On Friday, I called the home warranty company again who called Mile High Plumbing & Air again with no answer. The insurance company still hadn't received any report, and I hadn't received a quote for service yet. At this point, it had been a week since they did their initial visit without receiving anything, so I decided to schedule a meeting with another A/C company. The other A/C company came within a couple of days and installed the condensation pump in less than an hour. Problem solved. AJ seemed like a competent technician and was friendly, but after 4 follow-up calls to their office to get a simple quote (which never arrived) and on the schedule, there's no way I could recommend this company. If the company is too busy or something to perform the work, they shouldn't take a service call and shouldn't take 4 calls to get a simple quote. It's been over 2 weeks since the initial service call at this point and I still haven't heard back from them. Mile High Plumbing & Air cost me over a week of not having a working A/C unit, waiting for them to provide a simple quote for service and schedule a time to perform the fix, which is totally unacceptable for a critical service business.
