***PROQUICK LOCKSMITH*** BUYER BEWARE!!! UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!! RIPOFFS!!! SCAMMERS!!! READ THE REVIEWS FIRST!!! CALLED LOCKSMITH COMPANY AND THEY SUBTRACTED OUT TO THIS SHADY BUSINESS. DIDN'T DESERVE ANY STAR!!! Called for a locksmith to come out and put strike plates on my sisters front door (she was at work). The new doorknob and deadbolt were already in, but could not get the latch of doorknob to latch into strike plates. Technician by the name of Nathan came out. After explaining to him what I needed, he took a look at the door and said it wouldn't take long to fix. He said it was $29 for the service call fee and $221 for him to get door to close, total of $250. After a few tries, he still wasn't able to get door to latch into strike plate. He calls his supervisor and I couldn't understand their conversation bc they were speaking in their own language. He then hangs up and says since it looks like it's more to do than what he thought it was going to be,it would be a total of $300. I asked him what's the usual charge if he were to come out and put the doorknob /deadbolt in? He then says, okay I'll just charge you $250. It's now been almost 2 hours since he's been here. He seems very inexperienced and constantly calls someone, I believe it was through FaceTime and showing them the door frame and door parts. He doesn't talk to me unless I ask questions . There were times he would say he doesn't understand my questions. My sister lives in an upstairs apartment unit. For some reason, he had to hammer something and proceeded to hammer it on the metal fence in front of her door. He had no consideration for the neighbors regarding the hammering noises on the metal fence. After awhile, he managed to get the front door to finally latch. He asked if I was paying by card or cash. I said cash. He says I can give him the cash and he'll go downstairs and write out a receipt and bring it back. I said no, go get your receipt book and I'll pay you after receipt is written. He comes back, writes the receipt and I pay him. After he walks out, I lock up my sisters apartment and now her screen door won't close all the way. It did prior to him coming. I call Nathan and he says he'll come back up and take a look since he hadn't left yet. He comes up and takes a look at the screen door. I can already see that the doorknob from the front door is hitting the doorknob to the screen door. After taking a look, Nathan says it's not closing because the original doorknob went in, but the new doorknob sticks out. Nathan says he didn't come here to fix that, so he already did his job. I called to let my sister know screen door will not close. I put her on speaker phone and she tells Nathan he should've caught that while he was working on the door. She said $250 was too much to charge and he still didn't finish the job since not the screen door now won't close. He said he did what he was called to do. He left and my sister called the company. She spoke to someone there that quoted $150 if we had our own hardware. Then she proceeds to tell this person what happened and she was charged $250 and he didn't finish the job because screen door now wouldn't close. The person at the company became rude with her and agreed with what the technician charged. My sister said she was going to leave a review on Yelp and he replied he didn't care and hung up on her. Inexperienced technician, unprofessional and rude customer service. If time wasn't an issue, I would've cancelled the service. I came home on a Sunday night to find my digital lock on my closet not wanting to open....it would be that of course the people that installed this "smart closet" are closed on Sundays. I called a bunch of locksmiths only for them to tell me that they would have to break the lock in order to get it to open which was obviously not an option for me. I kept searching online for a locksmith that could also handle digital locks and thankfully I found Matthew at Proquick Locksmith! He was not only super friendly and helpful but he came to my place within 15 minutes! Because this is such a specific digital lock, just before he came to my house he made sure to research the digital lock online to make sure he could open it. When he got to my place he was confident that he could open my closet without causing any damage. Literally within 5 minutes he had the lock open. He then helped reprogram the lock, switched out the batteries and I'm one happy camper. I wish there were more reliable, professional and innovative people like him in the world. Our office manager accidentally called the wrong company we usually use Community Lock which is a stand up company and we've used them for over 30 years. I asked her to call Yorba Linda lock and ended up getting ProQuick Locksmith out to our business. The moment they guys showed up there was some kind of hustle going on Zach our foreman was speaking with them and he said it was $229 to replace the lock with a new lock then he said it was $339 to replace it with a digital keypad when I came out and spoke with the gentleman he said no I can fix it if you want me too it's going to be $229 plus the service call I said well let's get it repaired. Zach our foreman said well what are you going to do for that amount of money and he said I'm going to take it apart and repair the lock we thought wow it seems like a lot of money but in this case here if you're going to rebuild the tumblers and everything let's get it done. So another employee came in and he came to me and said hey look all he did was drill out the frame casing in the door, I watched him he didn't even pull apart the lock. These guys will give you a song and dance to get as much money as they can out of you without honestly caring one bit whatsoever about you or your business they just want money. I took a picture of what they did and I will be getting that to you shortly however this is completely highway robbery they were there no more than 15 minutes drilling out our casing for our door in the frame, anybody could have done that. What they should have said was OK you have a $29 service call but I'm actually just going to drill you could probably do that yourself. Instead they took advantage of us and charged us $258 which I am going to file a claim with American Express. Avoid these folks at all cost in my opinion they're dishonest. read more

Called for a repair on my door. It's old and just not locking properly. They answered me right away and luckily scheduled me for the next available time which was less than 45 minutes the same day. The guy came with mask and gloves and fixed my door right away for a reasonable price. I was happily surprised with the price and timing because with Covid you never know what to expect these days. HEZI, showed up to my rescue and he ridiculously charged me $289 to unlock my door. I said are you *#*#ing kidding me. He said company policy. I called the original number and was told the policy is $19 service call fee and services start at $35. He was there all of 3 minutes! I did not know that I was paying $100 per minute!!! The man said there would be a 19.99 service call, which I was ok with, but wouldn't tell me how much the labor would be, so I figured no more than $100 to open the door, given that I didn't need a new door knob or anything else. Friends Keys locked in trunk in a keyless newer rental vehicle so after she tried the car rental place, triple A, etc etc no one was able to help her so I said screw that and called pro quick locksmith . They have the Fastest response time ever, excellent communication, said it'd be a short twenty minutes and it was exactly right twenty minutes to the second , locksmith pulled in and done in five minutes and She was on her way! I think we got ripped off with this service. The technician came out 1.5 hours late and charged us $420 to replace a lock in our USPS mailbox. We asked if the USPS could do it for cheaper and the technician assured us that no, they could not and everywhere else would have been more expensive. Normally we would have gotten another quote, but we just had a new baby and were waiting in the hot sun for 1.5 hours for the technician, so we went ahead with it. The day after, we found out that USPS could have done the service for $6. That's right folks, $6. I called the company to request a refund and ended up getting $100 back, but it still stings pretty badly considering that we could have only paid $6. I advise finding another locksmith that will give you an honest recommendation about whether your need can be met more cheaply. read more

BEWARE!!- I have filed an incident report because i see this company also goes to residences... This company came to our place of business, locksmith guy said his name is Mathew but I doubt it... We hired them to replace the lock to our commercial front door, since the start the lock has been giving us issues and have asked him to come back, it was very hard trying to get a hold of this guy to come back and fix the issues he charged us $799.00 to begin with!! On the 3rd time he came, He rushed inside the building, didnt say a word just went straight to the bathroom, he didn't bother to close the door behind him or turn around so he wouldn't be seen ( I SAW HIS PRIVATE AREA!!!) I waited for him in the front office and let him know that it is not ok to do that in a business where he doesnt work... he did not seem sorry and it honestly looked like he just wanted me to be quiet stop talking.. His response for why he left the door open was- "I SAW THE DOOR OPENED LIKE THAT LAST TIME AND I KINDA THOUGHT THAT WAS THE COMPANY'S NON-BINARY POLICY OR SOMETHING SO I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WERE LIKE THAT SO I JUST LEFT THE DOOR OPEN.. I DIDN'T THINK ANYBODY WAS GOING TO WALK OVER HERE EITHER (THE BATHROOM)." The thing is.. If he would have said something so I would know hat he was back there I wouldnt have walked that way, what if there are other females or even kids in the building!!! This company is very shady they over charge if you fall for their scheme they add extra fees onto customers if you don't take their first offer which is already overpriced or they just do it randomly if they don't like you. Take your business else where trust me check around first for prices and you'll see they overcharge trying to milk customers for more and after if they can't they'll lower the price to the real cost saying they're there to "help" you cause they "care" very shady operation here. A lot of manipulation involve. Trust the low star reviews they all have something in common in what they say about this company. They are very dishonest and greedy for money won't even give you price over the phone until they're there to "evaluate" the situation or until you decide to hang up and call you back with a lower price later. Also don't ever think they are giving you a "discount" trust me on this they will add other charges to either add up to the original price or even charge you higher with the added fees. I called a local locksmith to come out and handle a door at our business. So, a black guy came out, worked on it, and I paid him. For the record I'm black also, so when I saw a black locksmith drive up, I was pleasantly surprised. But about an hour later, the locksmith I did call, shows up. He says, "I'm here for a lock", and I said, "your guy was already here". He looked confused, so I told him it was a brotha who was just here, and he responded by saying, he didn't have a black tech. So the guy that showed up prior to him, I later found out was from Proquick. I never called Proquick, but somehow, I believe through google, he got our info and came out instead. Well, the lock he did install only worked for a day, so when I called back several times to question him as to when he would come in and fix it, he started ignoring my calls. Then after finally being able to reach him, he said it would be about four days before he could come out. After arguing back and forth with him about our building being unprotected for that long, I finally told him just give me a refund ($250), take your parts and let's go our separate ways. He instructed me to get another locksmith, then further went on to say he was not going to refund us for any of it!!! Not to mention, he kept our old key and I had to ask him for my credit card back after watching him put it in his jacket pocket when he was here. Been in this business over 34 years, I've never seen anything like this. I called to get a rate to unlock my door. They asked for my address in order to get me the rate. I gave it to them and said I only wanted a rate, and that I would call back to confirm. I called back and told them I got a better price somewhere else, and did not need their service. They sent someone anyway EVEN THOUGH I NEVER CONFIRMED THEIR SERVICE. A man gets to my house and gives me two rates: $250 to break the lock or $300 to pick it. I told him I never agreed to that rate, and that I agreed to $135. He said the best he could do was $175. I was confused because I had thought for sure the rate I got on the phone was $135. I eventually agree and give him payment, then another man shows up at my house and is ready to do this service for $135, like I had discussed in the phone. TURNS OUT the first guy that arrived was from this company, and not the company I confirmed with. So I told the first guy I did not want his service anymore, now that the locksmith I ACTUALLY confirmed with had arrived. He had not started any of his services, and told me I couldn't get a refund because he had. I told him he did not even start any of his work yet. He then ignores me, and starts going to pick my lock. I tell him to stop. The other locksmith tells him "the homeowner asked you to stop. This would now be considered breaking in." The first "locksmith" stops what he's doing, and I ask him what his name is, and also the name of his company. He doesn't respond and gives the silent treatment like a child. Then I ask what the number is from that company. He tells me, "it's in the invoice" with an attitude. I look, and it doesn't even match my call history. I asked who sent him, he did not respond to my question, then tells me he is keeping $49 of the $175 I gave him as a travel fee. When he said this, the locksmith I actually called (whose number matched my call history) asked to see his locksmith license, and he didn't say anything and left. This guy had a bad attitude, and was really suspicious the whole time. Couldn't give his name or locksmith license. A SCAM. Most locksmith places I called were only charging $30 for a travel fee as well. I didn't even order this service, yet somehow they still got $49 out of me by pretending like I did. read more

Worst Service in the WORLD!!!! I called them to fix a metal door handle that completely snapped off. A door handle that the Proquick Locksmith company installed! After trying to explain what happened to the door handle, they hung up on me. I followed up with them the following day, where they finally understood the dilemma, then offered a 50% discount only to take it back. The owner who I was dealing with decided on the prices and kept changing them during the conversation from $900 to $950, etc. for one part. Then when we finally decided on a price he said, "I don't want to give you service" and hung up. WORST customer service/company ever! He said he wanted me to stay on as a valued customer but kept hanging up on me and changing the prices whenever he felt like it. He is unwilling to understand that I have no safety in my building due to the fact that the lock is broken, and he offers no solutions or care in the world to help me fix the problem. read more
