Pros on Call provided excellent service. I called needing my garage door opener key pad replaced and some other issues with my garage and the technician AK arrived just a few hours after I called. I was thrilled to not have to wait around for days to get this fixed. He was very professional and even though I was requesting a replacement of my keypad - he took the time to troubleshoot and test various different things before recommending that I replace it which I really appreciated. Also I thought my remote devices were bad - but he figured out that they just needed new batteries and reprogrammed them to work. He also helped answer some other questions and helped me understand how to program the keypad and other devices if I ever wanted to change the codes. I was surprised to learn that his company also provides a lot of other types of home repairs such as light remodeling and appliance issues, etc... I'm so glad that I called them and I will be making a list of other things to have them help me with. read more

I'm beyond impressed with this Pros On Call. They were able to fix a garage door that an unrelated service person broke by attempting to open the access ladder to my attic while the garage door was in the up position u. This resulted in the full weight of the ladder falling onto the garage door. It knocked it completely off the tracks and appeared to be unrepairable. Pros on call showed up exactly when they said they would. They were able to fix the problem rather than having replace the garage door. additionally they performed maintenance on both that garage door and my second garage door. Both garage doors run smoother & quieter than when they were new. They are perfectly straight. All this was done for a total of $445. I will use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone else who needs their services. The home they worked on was in Canyon Lake and I am in the process of selling it. I can't thank them enough for taking care of this so quickly and without taking advantage of me. read more

Stay clear of these guys!! They came to my house for a broken garage door spring. I was quoted almost $500 for two springs plus labor. The tech didn't even tell me he wasn't from Cedar Park Garage Doors, who I thought the appointment was with. Totally took advantage of the fact that I was stuck in my own house and drove the prices up. $150 in labor for something that took 25 minutes! Come on now. Thanks for putting a special needs mom in a tough spot- get the car out vs paying for special needs child's therapy/medication. Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! The first Flip Key they gave me for my Mazda 3 lasted 3 days and broke down on a drive from Austin to New Jersey. When I returned a month later, they had to replace the key because the battery attachment was broken. When they replaced the key, it no longer flipped out to be able to use. When they fixed that, the connector between the metal flip key and the electronic key box came apart. At this point, they would not fix the key and it is now useless. They will not return my calls. This is $185 in expense for nothing. I would not recommend this business to anyone. You should know that they also go under a number of different names. One is Pros on call but there are other names too, perhaps in order to dissuade people from writing critiques like this on Yelp. Beware! read more

Pros on Call did send someone to unlock my front door (accidentally locked my keys inside) but did not properly quote me for the service. Quoted $85 but neglected to mention there would be a $30 house call fee. I also had tried to schedule for a time to arrive and no one put my request in so no one showed up and I had to call back and place my request again like I hadn't at all in the first place. Should this ever happen again, I would find an independent locksmith and would not use Pros in Call. read more

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. If I could give less stars I would. I've worked in customer service my entire life and I've never experienced a company that refuses to fix their poor quality product. My new $300 key fob worked perfectly for the first couple of weeks. My mistake was never calling when it first wouldn't unlock my car. This week my car not only wouldn't unlock but wouldn't detect my fob during my drives and then would not start my car. I called the company today and in short told they couldn't help me -- couldn't even give me a quote because my 45 day warranty expired. After speaking to a manager and then she spoke to her manager, the best they could do was 20% off my next service. Couldn't give me a quote, offer to take a look at the key, or suggest any trouble shooting. Ya'll I am physically prying open the fob every morning and moving the battery around to get it to start. Oh they suggested I might need a new battery. Excuse me? I didn't need a new battery in my last key after 3 years and I sure as hell shouldn't need one now after 90 days. I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. Horrible products and horrendous customer service. They'll straight rob you! read more

What a terrible experience. I called to have a re-key done on a property. It was 4 locks. The website I used was 512 locksmith. The pricing chart said it would be $15.00 or cylinder. An answering service answered (That was my first clue that this was gonna suck). I confirmed that it would $15 per lock (with no problems) they scheduled me for the following Monday. When the locksmith showed up on Monday 45 minutes later than he said. He quickly re-keyed all 4 locks while I watched. When he wrote the ticket up, I was shocked that he charged me $35 per lock with a $25 service charge. I can understand the service charge, but he charged me over double what they assured me on the phone. This is highway robbery. Bait and switch. I told the locksmith that it was supposed to be $15 per cylinder. He replied "that's the minimum price for a re-key" I couldn't believe that he just completely screwed me like that. "Pros on Call" is anything but professional. We are a semi-private golf club, and engaged the "Pros" team to replace the panic hardware on our main events center double entry doors (solid oak, just refinished). On the plus side, the initial response was lightning fast, and Ms. Lyons--the initial layer of management--was an absolute joy to deal with when multiple problems surfaced. That said, the overall experience was quite poor because: Arrival of parts took much longer (by weeks) than outlined...and did not match--even remotely--what was replaced. Initial install was horrid--panic bar not leveled, holes mistakenly drilled, no locking hardware, latch mechanisms not countersunk (resulted in unsightly scarring or our freshly refinished doors) as well as inability for doors to properly close/latch). There was more. Pros made multiple attempts to address our dissatisfaction punch list, and in fairness, improved the outcome each time. But in the end, they never came close to a satisfactory final product. Eventually, we asked them not to come back, paid out our bill of $5K, and shook hands with another entity to make the best of an unsatisfactory situation. Our bottom line--we would NOT recommend using this business for anything on the commercial front. Our project was not that difficult, and we were beyond patient and understanding. But our needs, even after several months of back/forth, we're clearly beyond their skill set(s), and we cut ties with them and their horrid install (of an otherwise "OK" product/hardware line.) read more

We called needing a lock drilled out on a fireproof cabinet. We are an aircraft company with many A&P Certified Technicians. I could have picked a technician to drill this lock out. Instead I call Pros on call (1508 West Koenig Lane Austin, TX 78756). My thought process was get a licensed locksmith with the right tools that would drill the lock out with precision. I received two locksmiths with inadequate tools and very little experience in the drilling of locks. Our intention was to have the lock professional removed and we would order a replacement lock. This is now impossible due to the damage sustained. The hole were the lock was is now elongated and bent. I tried to call the office and talked to the rudest office manager ever. I am not sure what was worse, the workmanship or customer service. When I asked to talk to the owner, I received an answer " he's not here, I will tell him to call you back", this was followed by being hung up on. I was completely mistake, I tried to tell this company that the cabinet was worth about $1,200.00, in fact we just found out it is closer to $3,000.00. The office manager's only response was, we only charged you fifty bucks instead of two hundred. I guess this justifies their mistake. Sure hope they can't open your locked keys in your car, I see a brick through the window and a bill for fifty bucks...... I would not recommend this service. read more
