I'm surprised by the negative reviews. I just get pedicures so I can't speak to all the other services, but this salon knows client service. They make it easy to book, simple to pay and tip, will remember you wanted another appointment time and call to give it to you when it opens up, and do a good job in a clean environment. read more

In my 56 years I have never seen a more overbearing owner so when she contacted me today to tell me that my nail technician was no longer working there, I wasn't surprised. While I don't know the story. I can only imagine that my amazing technician left because she couldn't take it anymore just like the others who have disappeared before her. There is no way she would have been let go. When you go to a "spa" and spend tons of money for a manicure and a pedicure and gels and nail art you want some peace, being that it's your day off, your Saturday. Do not expect to get that here! Every five minutes the phone rings and you hear "Hi Stacey". If you're going to take the day off, don't harass your customers with phone calls every 10 minutes to the salon interrupting what is supposed to be a serene experience. Furthermore, I signed up for a membership via text. I never signed anything. I was never given a copy of the contract in writing so today when I was told that my technician was no longer there I canceled my upcoming appointments as I don't know any of the other technicians. I asked for a refund. I was told that they don't give refunds then I found out that I couldn't use my credit at another location, which was also never told to me. I asked her to email me a copy of the contract. She said that they didn't have the capability to email. It's 2025 you don't have the capability to email but you're currently texting me????? I also brought it up that I was overcharged at the last visit and I asked for a refund for the balance. I was denied that as well. Every time I went there and requested one of the latest trends they couldn't do it because the owner is too cheap to purchase the polish and implements required. I am disgusted at the way this owner treated me. I'm disgusted at how I have been manipulated and lied to and I am disgusted that every Saturday when I went there I had to listen to the phone ringing nonstop as she called to micromanage the staff......those poor girls. The only thing the salon had going for it was my amazing nail technician and now she's gone, so I won't be getting my nails done anymore. The fact that this establishment is in Wyckoff and I had to file several disputes with my bank because this is the type of owner I'm dealing with makes me sick having grown up in Bergen County. i have been coming to this loction since it opened and its a great place also i have a membership . check in and check out is so easy . I have lived in Bergen county for over 20 years have been to many nail salons and i just love the atmosphere and how everyone just joins in on conversation that are going on around you . Everyone is so friendly . i recomend Prose nails to anyone that asks me where do you go and get your nails done ! read more

The membership program is a scam. I really wanted to like this salon. I did not receive any sort of massage on my first visit and the tech was rude but after talking to the owner, I gave it another shot being told it was skipped by mistake. She promised me I would have a different tech for my next visit. But that wasn't the case when I arrived. I politely tried to talk to the woman at the front desk without making a scene but she insisted that I could not switch with my friend who I came with. I canceled my membership that day but received a phone call from the owner. She had said it was her fault I was booked with the same tech and not the front desk, which made it worse, as she was the one that specifically promised a different tech next time. I still went back one last time when I was then told my points expire 30 days from the time I requested a cancellation, even though I was charged again 3 weeks after that cancelation was made. Which does not make sense. I then requested a copy of my contract and was told they could not email one as they are away from the computer, when I asked for screen shots text to me I was told the system does not allow it. I won't be going back, lol. I can not believe I gave this place 3 times to make it right and they blew it every time! I really wanted to like this place! read more

I've been a member here since before they actually opened in 2021. The employees are super sweet and the owner is just a doll.

I wish I loved this place but it was the worst pedicure experience of my life. The person doing my pedicure dry exfoliated my feet, most uncomfortable pain. Felt like I was being grated by a cheese grater. During the discomfort the owner/manager asked me multiple times about a membership and if I wanted to add on any "treats" I said from making my appointment, to coming in, and I during my appointment no. Then I had to hear her talking to everyone else about why a membership makes the most sense and saves money. Please stay away from this place. Terrible. read more

I'm so disappointed in this salon! Of course on your first visit they pull out all the bells and whistles to give you an amazing experience. After that, don't expect much. There are only 2 experienced nail technicians there and to book an appointment with them is impossible. If you can't get an appointment with them you get stuck with technicians that file your nails cooked, glue their gloves to your fingers, can't use the equipment and can't even tell if you have gel Polish on. If they are short of help (which happens often) they will cancel on you and then blame you for not being available another time. If you have an event coming, don't chance it! Book another nail salon. The owner has NO customer or business skills! She actually blames the customer for the Polish not being correct and for canceling appointments. Stay away! read more

I never write reviews....but I felt like I need to in this case. I had a terrible experience at this salon. This salon will not let you keep your "points" if you cancel your subscription, even if you have a certain time left to use them. They will also purposefully do not tell you this. A subscription is also not cheap. The actual nail service is alright, but the woman doing my nails was super rude and would not let me pick my own nail polish color myself. Only cares about the money. Joined prior to opening but then found out I had to have surgery. I was told my points would stay in my account (I have emails that show I asked). Finally ready to have my nails done and points are gone. I was told I had to ask to have my account frozen and not cancelled or else my points expire after 60 days. No compassion just was like too bad. Offered me $10 off a service when I had over $200 in points. Who does that! read more

ok you can see from my previous review on google that I LOVED the place. It is beautiful and clean and the girls that work there are pure angels! However, DO NOT do the membership! Membership is highly suggested from the moment you go into the salon. As you are getting your nails done, you hear the owner Stacy telling everyone to sign up. I did :) I needed to pause my membership due the fact I was living down the shore. I was charged $10 per month for the pause even though I was not using any services. When I questioned it, I was told it was in the contract I signed. I did not read it completely. That was clearly my mistake. I felt so uncomfortable the way I was told, " Well it was in the contact you signed.." It was not verbally told to me at all. The $10 doesn't even go to a service! It is just a fee to pause your membership? I also felt uncomfortable hearing a few times how the owner spoke to some of the girls working there. Again, they are ANGELS and do an amazing job! I decided to cancel my membership. I was told I had to go into the salon to cancel. I couldn't do it online, I couldn't sign the contract and email. I needed to be present to cancel. I found out later from a friend who attends another Prose, this is NOT Prose policy, only the policy of the owner. I had to make a trip from the shore to cancel my policy. I was happily greeted by Britanny the manager, who is a doll! I was grateful I didn't run into the owner. She thanked me for being a good customer. However, the next month I was charged $159! When I questioned again, the owner responded that I didn't cancel within 30 days. I went into the salon on 8/21 and my membership renewed on 9/19. I honestly couldn't believe it. Again, I was told it is in the contract I signed. I demanded a refund. THANK God the owner agreed and refunded me. When I offered her some constructive feedback on how members might feel regarding membership, she didn't offer any apology , she simply said you are lucky I helped you on Monday which is my day off! I waited for a while before I wrote this review because I didn't want to write anything negative. However, I use google reviews a lot and the ones that offer the truth are super helpful. read more
