After years of discussing renovating our bathroom, the time has finally arrived. We have been living in our home for 24+ years. It took about 20 years to have the house painted inside and outside (really did not need painting for many years). Next, over the years we have changed out our countertops, replaced wood flooring in pieces and changed out appliances that were no longer working. Our bathroom is very outdated, which really does not matter to us. However, it has begun to become unfunctional. The bath tub knobs are starting to fall off, tile cracked in several places, and the shower has heating issues. After evaluating several contractors, we decided to move forward. Today we met with a sales representative at ProSource Wholesale, Kathleen, to discuss materials. We did not realize the process was so involved, i.e. choosing the materials in concert with existing materials that will not be changed in the bathroom. Also, tile, backsplash, lighting, mirrors, etc. are all decision points and quite overwhelming. However, we are jumping into the water headfirst! After talking with the sales representative, she advised us to look a Pinterest to get a better idea of what we wanted. Prosource Wholesales offers a plethora of materials - tiles, wood flooring, lighting, knobs, countertops, etc. It reminds me why I never wanted to do a custom home...too many choices. ProSource did our kitchen quartzite countertops and I would go somewhere else if I were you. After multiple design screw ups we ended up not having enough slab to do our waterfall edges in the original quote, and had to find a remnant of a totally different material to fit the coffee bar area. They also changed the backsplash shelf design to a shorter length than was originally designed. The worst issue is now we have a crack that developed from one of the corner cuts and they said it isn't covered under any warranty and nothing we can do. The crack is growing. read more

Jonathan at ProSource is a treasure! He is fun to work with and has positive, calm energy. He has a great eye and sees texture and color in ways I wouldn't have thought about. Visited ProSource a few months back--had an appt with John McFarland. Within minutes of me arriving he made a misogynistic comment to me. I mentioned it was my first time looking at flooring and was still deciding what colors/types I was interested in so I said I may contradict myself. His response was, "Well, you are a woman aren't you?" Seriously? I've never been spoken to like this...let alone by someone who was trying to sell me something. Worst choice we made in our kitchen renovation project! The design and purchase of the cabinets went very smoothly. Unfortunately, that was the last thing that went smoothly. The delivery of the cabinets damaged our newly installed flooring. When our contractor started to install the cabinets, we discovered many issues with the quality of the manufacture. We immediately contacted our ProSource rep, Pamela (August 2022). She let us know that she would have her manager, Rob get in contact with us. Eventually, Rob and Pamela came out and looked at the cabinets, agreeing with most of our concerns. They let us know they would contact the manufacturer, Waypoint. It was another month before the manufacturer's rep came out, again agreeing with most of our concerns. Replacement cabinets were delivered the first week of November, nearly three months after we identified the problem. Meanwhile, we were without a working kitchen for nearly two months longer than scheduled. The replacement cabinets were only marginally better than the original cabinets, but we felt compelled to proceed with the installation. We provided ProSource with documentation of additional costs incurred because of the poor quality and delays. They requested further documentation, which we provided. They requested further documentation. We are done. If not for the front-end help by Pamela, this review would have been 1 star. read more

Nice people and good selection, but no Covid safety. We called and verified that masks were enforced before we drove 45 minutes to meet with a designer. We got there and saw a staff meeting of some sort with the presenter's mask pulled down. It was in a back room so we asked that the door be shut and it was. But when the meeting broke up, numerous staff were wandering around the store or working at counters (in customer areas) without masks. This is during stage 5 restrictions and 750 new cases yesterday. When I tried to leave the door was locked and I had to wait next to two maskless employees to get out. If you take Covid seriously avoid this place. read more

Sold me too much product despite me having the plans and denied return after multiple calls

Super nice, until you write a check - BUYER BEWARE I got great help from Melanie at ProSource picking out tile - she's the reason this place is getting ANY stars. She was patient with me, letting me keep a dozen samples at my house for an extended period. She helped me source some unusual tile I found online. Once I signed on the dotted line, all of that ended. All of the tile took MUCH longer to get than I anticipated, with the unusual tile taking 3 months to come in. There was no delivery, so I had to go load 600 sq ft of tile into my own Prius. And, when I wanted to return numerous unopened boxes of tile, they refused to take it back *because the boxes had been sitting outside.* The tile was in perfect condition, but the boxes had gotten rained on once or twice. If they had taken it back, it would have been with a 35% restocking fee and a massive freight fee, so I'd have gotten pennies on the dollar for $1000 worth of tile anyway. I think I saved a bit upfront by going with them, but when you factor in the dollars I lost by not being able to return any tile, I lost significant money AND gained significant heartburn in working with ProSource. NOT WORTH IT. I bought some accent tile from Floor & Decor for the same job, and they took every inch of extra tile back without a second glance, down to the individual sheet. read more

These two put the PRO in ProSource as they literally held my virtual hand through the coronavirus crisis as I fretted about the quartz production schedule and installation sanitation standards for my cabinets and countertops. Having already started the kitchen project in February prior to the rapidly escalating and evolving pandemic, I lived most of March in covid19-quarantine without countertops & worse, without a kitchen sink & running water. Renee is crazy attentive to her clients, answering emails at 3 am, 4 am (she says that she gets up early to workout), and Pamela is highly professional, prompt in communications, and skillful in navigating the design options and vendors. The truly perfect sales representative who knows when to help and when to stand by quietly if a client is on a roll. Knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. So my wonderful client knows what he wants and selected samples that I thought (in my humble opinion) were just a tad too yellow. No can do with his gray paint. (Grey paint?) Oh, whatever. Let's just find a spelling and stick with it. I remember the moment when Todd and I locked eyes over the perfect floor sample. We grabbed it as a back up plan and left. Done. Not sure what all the positive reviewers experienced here. For my wife and I this place wasn't very good. Reasons for 2 stars: 1. Staff wasn't knowledgeable. Had a lot of difficulty finding samples of the tile we looking for 2. We were looking for very common marble tile, that we found tons of samples fro at other similar stores 3. Prices were outrageous, once she finally found 2 samples of the tile we liked, the prices were a good 50% above what we had found at two other stores. 4. They charge you a restocking fee for any returned material, both the other stores we visited do not. Definitely do not recommend this place. read more

ProSource is a one stop shop for wood floors, carpet and all your tile needs. (IF you are a in the building/remodel/design industry.) They are "to the trade" only but for anyone NOT in the trade, it is worth finding a designer that will let you purchase through them. Even with the slight mark-up they will tack on, you will save a substantial amount of money on your materials, not to mention they will have a great list of installers that are proven honest with quality work. (HINT: some designers won't charge you their hourly design rate if you are willing to manage the project yourself) For the trade professionals, Renee Slater is my go-to salesperson. I have worked with her for so many years and she will hunt down specific items even if they don't carry it. She will also price shop and make sure you get the product you want for the best price. She is so good at what she does that I can give her a general idea of what I am looking for and she will have samples sent directly to the clients or have them ready for me to pick up to take to the client. ProSource eleminates the need to drive around town to the various showrooms with your client saving you time and saving your client money. They will often have amazing pricing on "stock" inventory or remnants as well. read more

Our staff takes Covid very seriously. We have been using extreme caution since March by wearing masks, sanitizing samples before they are returned inside the showroom, sanitizing samples and tables after each appointment, as well as asking clients to wear gloves if they will be handling samples. Each morning prior to opening, we again sanitize tables, door handles and countertops. Our doors are locked to allow us to limit the number of clients in the showroom at one time. We are allowed when at our desk to lower our masks when having a drink of water or coffee, or other beverage. We put great value on the health and safety of each and every person that enters our Showroom, as well as the safety of our staff. Prosource is truly, truly horrible. My contractor sent me to them in June. My experience with Amberly was pleasant, and she helped me pick out beautiful materials in my price range. That's where the pleasantness ended. Apparently, the tile I chose was in high demand because it took weeks and weeks AND WEEKS to get my materials, AND half of the tile they sent was NOT the tile I chose. So add another 3+ weeks to get the tile I needed for my bathroom. Finally, all of the tile is done that got demolished IN JULY is finally installed IN OCTOBER. They're finally ready in October to install the vanity I chose IN JUNE, and IT'S NOT READY YET!!! Weeks and weeks later, the vanity is finally delivered, and the center piece arrived broken. It has interior, single piece of wood that is cracked. The kind of carpentry piece that would take my dad less than hour to fix, but 3 weeks later, Prosource has NOTHING for me and no ETA. I know my contractor shares the blame for how long everything has taken, but Prosource has screwed up again and again and again and is in no rush whatsoever to make things right. To them, it's just materials, but to me, this is my home and my life, and thanks to Prosource it's been a mess for nearly 6 months for one tiny bathroom. If your contractor sends you to Prosource, say NO!!!!! They genuinely DO NOT CARE about your project. read more

Prosource might be good if you are a pro but if you are doing it yourself - not so good. They do not deliver and if you have leftover stuff they charge a huge re-stocking fee and four times the freight to return the goods ($95 to return vs. $25 to get it). This post is about the Baton Rouge, La store: Placed my small $1000.00 order, paid for it, took about 15 minutes over the phone. Our tile men went to pick up order next day, brought materials to our home to begin our job that should have taken 1 week. We are now going into week 3. The order was not ever complete; no communication to let us know. Nothing unpleasant but numerous calls to rep; NEVER returned the calls. Amberlee at ProSource was great to work with and we accomplished a beautiful bathroom. They have an excellent selection and are really consultative which was really helpful on my first remodel project. The tile I got was very high quality and they also helped me select a hybrid grout that supposedly will last longer stain and maintenance free. I was able to find some of my tiles for less at the big box stores but for selection, this place reins supreme. Be sure to ask them to calculate additional grout if you purchase tile elsewhere...we ran out because I only ordered enough grout to cover the shower tile I purchased from ProSource. One thing I really liked was being able to take a selection of tiles home. read more

Eric at ProSource is a wealth of information. He is the go-to person for engineered wood flooring solutions. We had to replace the flooring in the entire house due to an incompetent installer and Eric made the entire process bearable. Doing this once is enough but twice is a bit much. They sold us the flooring and we finally got smart and asked Eric for an installer's name. Besides this they have a huge selection. Renee was also very helpful and generous in lending us samples. They are on the other side of town from us but I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

ProSource has a ton of flooring sources and files to choose from. As noted you have to be working w/a contractor to use their services. If you go there, ask for Amberlee. She worked with me on one little bathroom and every tile I choose was impossible either for the contractor to do or to match up with counter/floor/wall tile. I was pulling my hair out. She worked with me, and we "had it" then couldn't get the tile, tried again, etc. She made extra call,s and totally went out of her way to stay with me as we worked our way through every darn tile in the place, I think. If there was a rating less than one star, I would give it to these people. Good selection but way overpriced. $1900 for tile for one walk in shower.. Really? I gave them one star simply because Amberly told us we could return unused tile and we were unable to return one unused box of tile because we found out after the fact the distributor had a 5 box minimum. If your contractor overestimates that much overage, you need a different contractor. I do not recommend them at all. There are better places to buy materials than from these charlatans. read more

Well, we had high hopes. Went into prosource about 4 months ago. We have SEVERAL remodeling projects that need to be done and were hopeful that they could help us as we have used them in the past. We were directed to "John" and after a fairly lengthy wait, he started to help us with our first project---remodeling a small bathroom. We liked him and found some tile that would suffice. We did not take samples at that time as we were too far out from beginning the project. Fast forward to just before Thanksgiving. I called PS and asked for John. He was busy and I asked them to ask him to get the samples of the tile that we were looking at for me to go by and pick up. I called a second time to check and he still couldn't talk to me. I went by and tried to talk to him and of course he's busy with other people, so I asked the lady at the front if she could check on these samples for me so I could get going. She was going to have to talk to John and see what I was talking about and so I browsed for a bit waiting for them to get the samples together. After 30 minutes and no samples and no John in sight, I asked for them again. They said that they had brought the samples up to the front desk and they were sitting there waiting for me. It would have been really nice to have been told that! I wanted to check on the accent tile that we found there that I loved and after another long wait, was told that they did not have a sample of that tile, but that they would order it for me. I struggled to pick up the heavy tile boards and no one even offered to assist me. I had to make two trips to pick everything up. While this is not a big deal in itself, a little customer service and assistance would have been greatly appreciated. Last week we had an appointment with John at 3:00 pm on Friday. He called my husband and asked if we could move the appointment to 3:30. No big deal. We got there at that time and hauled the samples back in and saw that John was with another couple. We wanted to see if the accent tile sample that he had "ordered" had come in for us to see. Someone did greet us, but then said that John would be "with us in a minute". We waited for 45 minutes before John even acknowledged that we were there. Quite honestly we were already ready to walk out. We finally asked him if he had the sample tile for us and he had to go check. He came back and told us that it hadn't been ordered and right then and there we told him that we were done with prosource. We live 35 miles away from them and wanted to give them our business of doing SEVERAL costly projects that we need. However, with waiting and basically being ignored by the rest of the employees, we figured that we could do business with other businesses that had better customer service. If you have an appointment with one person, it's like you are invisible to the rest of the employees. I don't know if they work strictly on commission, but it is unacceptable. I asked John to make sure that it was noted that we returned the samples that were given to us and I told him we were done with prosource. We were ready to give prosource thousands of dollars of business. We will go to their competitors and find what we need. I'm sure that we will not get a response from prosource, but an apology for crappy service from a manager I think would be in line. We will not go back to prosource for any of our remodeling needs. read more

I have managed several different projects with ProSource. I needed to get my house on the market quickly and with new carpet. Christine Allessio helped pull carpet in a specific price range and made sure it was in stock. When I came in to select it was quick and easy. She managed delivery times and even recommended installers. Delivery dates were met! The next project, Jessica Hartle helped design all the cabinets for our new condo. She responded with lightning speed to change requests and with a great attitude. Nothing was too much trouble. She communicated well about the delivery schedule and even beat the original schedule. After the cabinets were delivered she made sure to stay in touch in case there were problems. I couldn't be happier with these stellar ProSource ladies! It made the project fun and knowing I could trust their word took all the stress out! I would recommend them highly to anyone! read more

I'll start by saying they have a great selection and are helpful during the sale. However, once your order is in, good luck in finding the same kind of service. We had to reorder several times, tile was delayed several weeks. Restocking policy is highway robbery. Anywhere from 25-50%. The biggest issue with Prosource is they are not taking tile back despite a usery 'restocking' fee. They claim that the policy only allows you to return product 30 days after ordering. Well it takes 5 weeks to deliver so no chance to ever return product. read more

We worked with Renee on some bathroom remodels. She was so helpful and gave us great advice. We had been to flooring stores all over Austin and couldn't find what we needed. Our contractor recommended ProSource and we are so glad he did. ProSource had far more options and very competitive pricing. It was really easy to work with them, too. I wish we had found them earlier in the process b/c the biggest renovation headache was spending our weekends at flooring and tile stores. Go see John McFarland at ProSource! We were building a new home and thought there was no way we could afford tile and wood throughout the home. Our builder allowance was only for stained concrete, so anything else would be an upgrade and our cost for materials and installation. John saved the day! We got exactly what we wanted and the prices were way below the box stores and anywhere else we looked. We made several trips to the showroom and took up a lot of John's time (he is very patient). He gave us great suggestions and a true delight to work with. He took care of everything and is very knowledgable! ProSource does not install the products they sell, however he gave us suggestions on a good installer too!
