It was delicious, though I passed on the parfait. My issue with this visit was the too leisurely service ... It took an unacceptable amount of time for someone to seat me eve though the restaurant was mostly empty. I went there for dinner on my last evening and chose Vol au Vent ($21), puff pastry filled with creamy chicken and vegetable paysanne, surrounded by a salad. My entrée was the Vibrant Veggie Burger ($26) with a glass of wine ($14). The appetizer was delicious but a bit too much, I could have done without the salad. It was large enough to be an entrée. The disappointment was the veggie burger; the patty was tasteless. There was sliced avocado underneath and that made it difficult to eat because the patty kept slipping out of the bun. I should have ordered the Angus Burger for the same price or the Margherita Pizza for $19. Service at dinner was fine but I was one of just two people in the restaurant. Interestingly, the exact same menu is used for room service and the prices are the same. I suggested to the hotel (in the post-stay review) that they think about changing the concept of L'Orangerie to more of a bar serving tapas as it seems to be underutilized. There are a number of places within a block of the hotel that offer more food choices at lower price points.

It even said that it's "closed" but really, it was open, but only just for us because we booked the Private Function Room for a bridal shower!! We got to the room and it was like high-tea heaven! They had prepared the room specifically for the shower and it looked spectacular!! I loved every single item we had here- pastries, treats, tea. I loved that everything was organic and made fresh in-house. My favourite would be the orange jelly dessert because I have such a sweet tooth! And my favourite tea is the bubble gum iced tea!! Regular Afternoon Tea sets are $55 per person and Mini Afternoon Tea sets are $38 per person. Oh, and  you can even order off a regular a la carte menu if Afternoon Tea fare isn't your thing. The food here was excellent. Quality ingredients were used for our food and they didn't skimp on anything either. While 3 of us had Afternoon Tea, my husband decided to order from the a la carte menu. He had a lobster bisque and a sandwich. One of the best lobster bisques he's ever had. Looking at the extensive menu, I was craving a baked pineapple bun with butter. I ended up ordering the Value Combo A+B for $11.75, which reminded me of eating in Hong Kong--busy, well-priced, and fast. I chose A3 (freshly baked pineapple bun with butter) and B2 (satay beef noodle soup). I also added a hot HK milk tea included. If you plan to visit this food court, I highly recommend arriving earlier in the morning. Otherwise, you'll need a keen eye and patience to spot who's about to finish eating so you can secure a table. The food court gets very busy later in the morning. You don't want to get into a fight with an auntie. :)
