I get it, you do a lot of work and everybody wants something different, but I just wanted a name and date, since the size was specified, the only thing left to debate was the type style. For some reason, they couldn't or wouldn't quote me, I was told that there was a good chance it would be the shop minimum, but they couldn't confirm and with it being 110 degrees, I didn't want to be shuffling up and down the strip when any competent shop should have been able to quote me in advance. That did in fact happen here, and when the people at Illuminati were clear and told me they would present me with font choice that didn't elevate their quote, I ended up using them. I have no idea how much money flows through Vegas, but when people come here, they come to spend. Pardon me if I like to know in advance what I'm spending. So unless Yelp has changed their policy that a review is a unique experience, I trust that this detailed account of Revolt satisfies the terms and conditions I agreed to. Moderation is great, but without integrity, the review system breaks down.

However, the pricing we were quoted at this shop felt excessive and unreasonable. We came to Vegas prepared to spend money and enjoy our trip, but not to feel taken advantage of. We were quoted between $320 and $360 each for a very small tattoo measuring approximately 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches with minimal detail. Since both my wife and I wanted the same tattoo, the total cost would have been more than $600. When we asked about getting only a simple date tattoo in small font, we were quoted $250 per person. Again, this was just a small date with no elaborate design. For comparison, a nearby shop quoted us $150 each for the same tattoos. To be fair, the shop itself is clean, professional, well-maintained, and definitely has an upscale appearance. However, based on the artists' work we viewed and the reviews we read, we did not feel the quality justified the premium pricing. In our opinion, the prices significantly exceeded the value of the product being offered. What was especially disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility in pricing. While I understand every business has its own policies, there was absolutely no willingness to negotiate or work with us. As someone who has more than 20 tattoos, I am familiar with the industry and know that some level of discussion on pricing is often possible. Overall, I would not recommend this shop unless you're comfortable paying a substantial premium. While the facility itself is impressive, we felt the pricing was far beyond what the work warranted.

I came across Broken Dagger. It had wonderful reviews from previous clients; the shop looked clean and had great vibes; and the artists were featured on the shop's socials. I loved the work they did - so I gave the shop a message with about 4 days notice to my trip. Whoever runs the shop's insta was very responsive and said they would be able to get me in before my trip was over! They set me up with Luis and the rest is history (and tattooed on my arm!) Big thanks to Luis! He was so kind and welcoming, very chill, and I learned a lot about Vegas tattoo culture! And of course, he's a very talented artist! We found ourselves here the night before our flight, as I'm not one to trust a super cheap shop. Tony was amazing. I wanted to fit into the theme of north arrows but I didn't want to be literal as I already have a compass tattoo. I'm from Oregon and wanted a stalk of lavender and a bee. Tony understood the assignment and made it so artsy I can't stop looking at it. I'm not sure if I asked for an arrow, as I was exhausted from being out as sober support for my other surveyors after hours, but there is a shape of one with the bee and flower. I traced the lines on a photo because I am that professional and so my qa/qc . I truly love it! The whole appointment was a wonderful experience and now we both have a bee tattoo. I never get spontaneous tattoos and I'm so glad this worked out so well. I doubt I'll do it again unless I find Tony! I'll likely find him/travel if I get another larger tattoo in the future. Also, I want to note he was very respectful and aware I was a child of trauma with issues and a fidget toy. He not only watched for any buddy language, but also empathize with me in his families life experiences. Easiest tattoo experience I have had and it erased a "bad" experience relating to another tattoo artist, though their work was also very good.

I wasn't looking for anything huge or heavily detailed but never want to assume someone can drop everything to fit me into their schedule so I was so happy that everything worked out perfect! My arm was wrapped in a plastic film that was to be kept on for three days, and I couldn't wait to 'unwrap' it back home. Coming to Vegas, I thought this would be another great opportunity to get a solid tattoo for a reasonable price. I called and emailed shops and 2/3 wouldn't quote me unless I sent them scale artwork. I explained there is no artwork, I want her name and the years she was alive. That was a total of 12 characters and I envisioned her name taking the space of a fortune cookie fortune and the years combined taking the same. Simple, easy and the only factor was the font, but again, I'm agreeable. The two shops that gave me quotes basically told me, "No problem, but our shop minimum is $175-$200. Your work sounds like less, but those are the prices". Now if Koolsville can do a $10 tattoo, certainly something of my scale should qualify for a discount. When I reached out to Illuminati, I was told the shop minimum was $100 and I was encouraged to come in. Lou took excellent care of me. He not only gave me the 12 characters for the shop minimum, but he touched up an existing tattoo of mine for no charge. Come on bro! If there is such a thing as a tattoo lottery, I WON IT. I now have my angel on my arm and received the warmest possible welcome to Las Vegas. This appears to be a shop that will earn your business, your positive review and trust. In general, I'm not a tattoo fan, but I will happily tell anyone I know headed to Vegas, if they are in the market for ink, look up Lou.

Instead of handling the confusion professionally, the communication became rude and disrespectful. Customers should not be insulted or blamed over a payment issue, especially when screenshots and proof were provided. The tattoo work may be good, but professionalism and customer service matter too. By the end, the whole situation felt unorganized and unprofessional.

We had another amazing experience here at Lunar Ink. This time though, it was more relaxing.
