This is probably one of the best dental practices in New York City. Dr. Edward Goldin and his father Dr. Joel Goldin are absolute experts. I have had everything from basic cleanings, crowns to cosmetic dentistry done here. Everything is painless and completed to perfection. My mother, sister, and I have been going to Prosthodontic Associates of New York for many years now (probably just around 15 or so) and we have all received the most top-notch care from the entire team and staff. I have been singing this practice's praises for so many years, and I would recommend them a thousand times over. Dr. Abjanich, Dr. Donovan, and Dr. Goldin are absolute masters of their craft. Not only that, but they also have the most phenomenal bedside manner. Dr. Abjanich, Dr. Donovan, and Dr. Goldin are all perfectionists yet they have never suggested unnecessary procedures or tried to upsell their services. The hygienists are also fabulous. The front desk staff is so friendly, helpful, extremely responsive (I've called and they've texted me back right away), and accommodating of busy schedules (greatly appreciated with demanding work hours). The office is immaculate, beautiful, spacious, and in a great location (right near Grand Central). Dr. Donovan did my Invisalign in the year leading up to my sister's wedding (I had crowding on my bottom teeth and I wanted to change that), and I couldn't be happier with the results. I've also had my teeth whitened with the Zoom system here, which was great to do before my engagement shoot and wedding. My teeth always feel immaculate after the cleanings. I always get so many compliments on my smile, and I always tell people to give this practice a call. Most people complain about going to the dentist, seriously dread it, or even avoid going altogether. I've never been able to relate to that. Dr. Abjanich just retired recently, and I'm going to miss him so much, but the practice is in great hands with Dr. Donovan and Dr. Goldin. They're absolutely amazing, as noted above. I was a patient of this practice for many years. I had a problem with a few teeth due to a bad bite and Dr. Goldin recommended $30,000 worth of crowns. He referred me for extensive periodontal surgery, which would have cost $6,000. My gums are fine, the surgery was for the crowns. Dr. Goldin did not tell me in advance how much work he was proposing, and why. I would never have gone. I sought another opinion and was told that the periodontal surgery would have been for cosmetic purposes only and, given my bite, would have worsened the problems with those teeth, and could ultimately cause me to lose them. I saw yet another dentist, who told me that I did not need anywhere near that much work. I changed dentists. The Prosthodontist I now see just gave me ONE crown for the worst tooth, and removed some of the enamel from the back of crowns Dr. Goldin had put in, which was exacerbating the problem. Total cost: $2,700. When I asked him about the other teeth I'm concerned about, he told me that there is no reason to do anything to them now. It is subtle, but the one beautifully crafted crown really improves how my mouth looks, So, yes, Dr. Goldin would have given me bright, shiny uppers and lowers - but I wasn't seeking help for cosmetic reasons, and I certainly wasn't interested in extensive periodontal surgery for that reason. I've been coming to this office for dental care for about 15 years and everyone here is so wonderful. Silvia and Sharon at the front desk always go out of their way to help me, whether for a routine matter or when I've needed an emergency visit. I see Dr. Goldin and he is an exceptional dentist, both for my routine care and for dental implant surgery. I have complete trust in his care of me. He always takes his time and talks me through everything, alleviating any anxiety that I might have. Furthermore, I've actually been in twice since the office has opened after NYC's Covid shutdown, (once for a cleaning and once for a cavity filling) and I felt 100% safe coming here. The highest level of hygiene and use of PPE is being practiced, and there are hand sanitizer stations and air filtration systems set up. It's very important to me to keep up with my dental care and so I feel incredibly lucky to be able to come here and feel totally safe. read more

Went to Dr Edward Goldin (the son) for an infection. He is a Specialist at what he does and performs Fantastic work (implants, crowns). He identified my problems, gave me a timeline and performed the work in a timely fashion. His Skill is Exceptional, and my teeth look great. My only complaint is that they do not accept insurance, but make you file your own insurance form. The secretary is a bit pushy and rude, since common practice is that the dental office covers/bills insurance companies. You get what you pay for, since his office charges a bit more than most, but the quality of his work for implants, and crowns is exceptional. He will always tell you what you need and give you an honest answer, which is worth the cost. read more

I saw Dr. Donovan and loved everything about my experience with him. Amazing chair-side manners, listened to all my concerns and questions AND the crown he placed just looks amazing, I have to count the teeth in my mouth to find the "fake". The office has a ceramicist in the back who changed the hue of the crown in just 20minutes, there was nothing wrong with it in my eyes, but Dr. Donovan is a perfectionist and it shows in the result I got! I've been seeing Dr. (Edward) Goldin for about, wow, 10 years now. I consistently refer anyone who is looking for a dentist to this office. Dr. Goldin is wonderful, as are the hygienists and the receptionists. I had a couple of moments over the years when I thought that something was an emergency and Dr. Goldin was able to squeeze me in that same day. There's a great feeling of empathy and family in this office. I will continue to be a patient for as long as I live in NYC. Fantastic team! I had to get an implant for my front tooth and it literally looks identical to my real front tooth. I was so surprised to see the result. They took their time, payed attention to details and were thorough. It also made a huge difference to see the amount of care they put into quality work. The office staff was also very friendly. I love how they have email & text as forms of reaching out. The whole office seemed to know my birthday was coming up and followed up to see how it went during my next visit. All three dentists in the office are exceptionally competent and knowledgeable. It is true that the office is only fee-for-service and that the prices are high. But you get some of the best dentistry in NY, with referrals to other extremely competent specialists when that is necessary. I highly recommend them. read more

if you're seeking Pain-Free Dentistry, then dr. goldin's dental practice is for you. i first started seeing dr. goldin's father, on the recommendation of a physician, ~15 years ago. as good as his father was, the younger dr. goldin is even better. prior to initiating today's work, he gave me a novocaine so expertly, i wasn't even aware he had given it to me. next, he drilled out an old filling. again, absolutely no pain except for a slight spattering of water. there are 3 other dentists who are part of the practice, as well as multiple hygienists, dental assistants & jill fridays. all of them are pleasant & accommodating. the waiting area is clean, with up-to-date magazines, water & hand sanitizer. because his practice is adjacent to grand central, it's easy to commute via public transportation. one minor caveat: visitors must check in at the 1st floor visitors' center. bring a picture i.d. read more
