There are very few places I fully trust when it comes to auto repair, but we are very lucky to have…read moresuch a great staff at our local Midas shop. Josh is exactly the person you want to deal with when you need a repair. He'll get you in as quickly as he's able, and he's honest and straightforward about everything. And he's a genuinely friendly, good guy. There was an instance where another guy was filling in for a week, and he was just as friendly and competent. One time, my wife decided she needed to make them some cookies because they were so kind when our daughter's car needed repairs!

What is happening to Midas Muffler in Sewickley PA? I have been going there since the 1970's for…read moreoil changes. I am presently very dissatisfied with their service. I had an appointment on Thursday, June 4 at 11 a.m. I have taken my current vehicle to them since 2021 and have always used high mileage synthetic oil in this vehicle. I had previous service receipts with me but the manager of the shift at the desk said they were not required as I was "in the system". I asked if my tires would be rotated as per standard procedure and was told "yes". I began my wait. I observed the technician place the car up on the lift and saw him change the oil. The car was placed back on the ground. I then asked the manager about the tire rotation and the topping off all the fluids. He stated that "they forgot" and would do it immediately so my vehicle was again lifted and the tires were rotated. I believe that if I was not present, my tires would not have been rotated. I did NOT see them top off the fluids. When they were finished with the servicing, I proceeded to pay. Previous charges for this service were in the range of $70-80. This time it only $42. I immediately knew something was amiss. I then inquired as to why the charges were as low as they were. The manager stated that that was the price for a standard oil change and that was what I needed. He claimed Subaru's did not need synthetic oil even though my vehicle is high mileage. My question is if that this is true, why were my previous oil changes of the synthetic variety? I stated that my previous oil changes were synthetic and then and only then did he examine my previous record. So which is it, synthetic or not? He used standard oil in my vehicle without consulting my records beforehand and I am now concerned that this lower grade oil may give me car issues. I have my vehicle serviced with the intent of alleviating any concerns I may have with its operation. I also understand that the customer is "always right" and that either myself or my records should have been consulted before servicing had taken place. I was then told if I wanted to wait, they would bring my vehicle back in and change the oil again. I declined until I can find out which way to go. I would like to know if this is how Midas is now doing business?

I would highly recommend asking for Adam Coliane in the service department…read more I needed my wheel locks changed to the standard ones because it was impossible whenever I had to get my tires or brakes changed. I had called the nearest dealership to me (strip district) for a quote on how much it would be and they said they would call me back twice, and never did. Then I figured I might as well drive a bit further to get it done and as soon as I called this dealership, the parts department gave me a quote on the bolts and the service department gave me a quote on labor and scheduled me. Adam was the service manager that gave me the quote that day and even checked me in for the service. Sometimes it's not the dealership itself, but the people that take care of you that you go for. Mike the head foreman was very honest and helpful and even agreed to do my state inspection that day so I wouldn't have to make another appointment to come back. Thanks for making it painless!

I have come to Sewickley Audi for every car service and even bought my current vehicle here, but…read moreafter 2 bad service visits and a huge price increase I will never come back. Took my A5 in for standard 60k maintenance and an alignment in January. After 5 days the dealer finished the maintenance but told me it would be another day for the alignment. Took my car in again in May for an inspection and the same alignment that was never done. Took them 1.5 days just to evaluate my car and another day to do the inspection and alignment. They charged over $1500 for just a front brake job. Example of their prices, the front pads (PN 8W0-698-151-BC) were invoiced to me at $398.75. The same part number has an MSRP of $295 per Audis site and Audi Columbus is charging $225. That's a 75% markup over some other dealers. I also question their labor charges. I can see on my dash cam exactly when the car went into their shop and when it came out. It was in their shop for 7.5hrs but i was charged 11.97hrs of labor on my invoice. Cherry on top is they now pass their credit card fee of 3% on to us. So when your service is several thousand dollars, its another $100+ just to pay them. This dealer has fallen so far over the past year. I think they were bought by another auto group in June 2025 so maybe that's why. Takes weeks to get an appointment, your car will be gone for a few days no matter how small the service and you'll be horribly overcharged. Go somewhere else.
