The dishonest employee believed a signature on that line nullified the price quoted by the company over the phone. IT DIDN'T- an oral agreement is VALID and enforceable unless supplanted by a VALID written contract - but that didn't stop Danny V. from claiming the customer authorized an unspecified "contract price." As I pointed out to the dishonest employee, the lower left section of the form where a contract price would be specified, and the customer would sign acceptance of such amount, WAS TOTALLY BLANK! There WAS no "Contract Price." The only price owed was what was quoted over the phone. I don't know whether Danny V. even understood the clear language of the form or whether he just pretended not to. No dollar figure was anywhere on the document I signed, other than a pre-printed $10.00 Fuel Fee. Which was never included in any final invoice. After the 30-minute job was completed, I asked for a bill and was told the office would contact me. I called the office and paid the requested amount with a credit card. The next day I was emailed an invoice stamped "PAID" showing no balance due. One week later I was emailed a second invoice for almost twice as much. After I complained, Danny V apologized for the double billing but said he noticed "a large discrepancy" and claimed I owed the "contract price" and how did I want to pay for it. He attached the form I signed - with the Contract Price section still blank - but with an inflated number added elsewhere on the page. There was no subtotal or total. If he'd honored my request for an apology and retraction, I wouldn't be writing this review. But it's disheartening to see a dishonest employee damaging his company's reputation. In my opinion he should be fired - or jailed.
