The team was professional, on time, and worked very hard until everything was completely done. They removed all the old insulation, sanitized the attic, sealed gaps, did rodent proofing, and installed new R-38 insulation beautifully. I found insulation labs and Ray came out for an estimate. He told me the same thing as ChatGPT did so it confirmed my suspicions. His quote was definitely on the expensive side compare to a competitors quote but he did mention that his quote is expensive because they use 12mm thick vapor barriers which is more resistant. The other competitor quoted me around half the price but for 6mm barriers. I again asked ChatGPT and it told me that 12mm is preferred because 6mm is prone to breaking once a contractor or someone go down to the crawlspace and when that happens it loses its purpose to control vapor. As a result I went with insulations labs and they spent a day putting it in. So far I haven't seen any issues and I believe they have done a good job from the pictures they shared

He was very knowledgeable and very detail oriented. He showed me everywhere that he would seal for rodent proofing. His pricing was exactly where I would put it. He was able to fit me in in a week and on the day of the job he had 4 guys; 2 of which were family members. They were all very professional and worked very quickly and well. I had a lot of wires and lines running in the attic and was worried some of them would get damaged (I know my fault and they should have been tacked up to begin with) but they worked around them and nothing was damaged. I was also worried about my roof since it was just done with lightweight concrete but no tiles were broken. They setup portable walls that were sealed with contractors plastic sheeting so any dust/contaminants were sealed away and directed at a HEPA filter. They finished the 1300 sqft attic and also the garage attic in about 6 hours and it looked perfect. I was very impressed. They even removed about 50ft of old HVAC piping from the garage attic (when they probably could have left it). I feel like it's very hard to find contractors along with their team that truly take pride in their work in this day in age but Leo and his team are the exception. It helps that it is a family owned and run business which mean they really care about their clients and also the work done. What stood out most was his thoroughness and sense of responsibility to do the job right. They didn't even begin installing the new insulation until they were 100% certain every rodent entry point had been successfully sealed. So, there was absolutely zero pressure on me to have them complete the job faster than it should have been completed. My home was built in 1948, and older houses like this have countless entry points. They clearly understood that and took the time to address it correctly. I was not asked to pay until they were certain the attic was completely rodent-free, which says a lot about their integrity. David also provided clear information to help me pursue a tax credit for the new insulation, which I really appreciated. Overall, I felt genuinely taken care of.
