This place wouldn't do Home Depot products, they only install their products. Fine. So I wanted to know what they sell, but I didn't even get a chance to ask that. He said they were too busy to do it. If he said it nicely, I would understand. But he was SUPER RUDE, and sounded like I was disturbing him. My alarm of 14 years finally gave up and we had to replace the main circuit boards ( we can smell the burning when plugged in). As we called around, it seemed that most alarm installers wanted to completely replace the unit *and* use their monitoring service. We've never used a service and didn't have much interest. After much searching and phone calls, we settled on these folks and couldn't be much happier. I had 2 other estimates one which wanted to replace the unit with another brand, and was told that in order to check all the sensors would take at least 16 hours of work. Another wouldn't even talk unless I agreed to their monitoring service. The Protection Now folks gave me a very reasonable quote,and promptly showed up the next day to do the work. They replaced only the broken parts an didn't try (too hard) to up sell me on more services. We have 4 control pads, but again,they only replaced 1 as needed, and didn't make me pay for unneeded parts. There were some hiccups that needed additional work, so the installer had to come back the next day to finish the job. But all in all, they kept us informed the entire way, and was very professional in their work. No surprises and the entire process was as painless as possible. Lastly, their prices are very reasonable; we're extremely pleased with their work. read more

Had them install my Costco-bought Lorex security cameras around my home (seven of them). I'm pretty particular but they did a great job meeting most of my expectations. They taught me how to use my system too. Also had them lay out Cat5 lines and relocate my alarm siren. The last day should have taken an hour but the installer drilled through a water pipe. When Al heard about it he was on it and found a plumber to re-weld a new piece. I was without water for most of the day and had to cancel my afternoon plans for the plumbing completion but Al worked with me and didn't charge the last day. He's a good man and his crew are also friendly and awesome! read more

When the day came where I canceled alarm monitoring they said would not cancel, instead they came and took my cameras and alarms system when I wasn't there. The few times I've had to call -- usually, to adjust my settings because the cat is setting off the alarm by accident or to replace an old battery in the unit - Al and the others know who I am, know my history, and deal with the issue extraordinarily quickly and respectfully. I also had them install security cameras 2 years ago and just recently had them upgrade the cameras to a HD system. Reasonable rates, knowledgeable. and careful.
