I am currently in a bodybuilding prep, so I am super picky whenever I eat out. I recently moved to Henderson and was so excited to see that this restaurant had macros and focused on high protein meals. They have a big menu, but the photo of the Southwest Bowl caught my eye. Southwest Bowl - First off, I love that they ask you how you want your steak cooked. The steak was so flavorful and the portion was generous. The bowl came with chopped tomatoes, black beans, cheese, rice, and avocados. It tasted so hearty only for 28g of fat! As someone that eats a lot, this meal filled me up. Solid meal with great macros. Overall, I'm definitely coming back! This restaurant allows me to eat out while staying on track with my macros during my bodybuilding prep. It's been a while since I have updated my review for this spot and lately, I've been ordering a lot of takeout and delivery and last night was no different. My husband likes to stay somewhat healthy, so this is what we decided to order. This was placed for delivery, so I didn't go into the business, though I have been there before. They did get our order correct though, so that's great! I got the chicken caesar wrap, which is so delicious. Forgot to take a picture sadly. But it comes with sunflower seeds, which definitely makes it different than other Caesar wraps. It was delicious! Their air fried fries are also super good, too, and I highly recommend them as well. I've been here a few times for protein shakes after yoga classes. Sometimes I just want convenience, so I come by here to get something protein-forward without overthinking it. I've only tried the shakes, but I do like that they only cook with olive oil here and clearly focus on clean ingredients. The menu is pretty large. There are wellness shots, shakes, Acai bowls, juices, and entrees for any time of the day. They also offer meal prep, which is amazing when you're short on time but still want bulk protein and sides. My favorite is the Peanut Butter Cookie Dough protein shake. I like the texture that the oats give it. But sometimes the dates don't blend all the way, leaving clumps in the drink. I've also tried the Peanut Butter Dream shake. (I'm a peanut butter fiend, lol). That's pretty decent too. I really enjoyed both items, especially the salad. It was so good, and most importantly, had a high amount of protein. On the picture the egg seemed over easy/over medium according to the staff and was over an english muffin so i told them i wanted EXACTLY what was on the picture and if i could please have the English muffin toasted. The staff seemed very annoyed and unenthusiastic. Once i received my order, the egg was sunny side up and on a SOGGY wheat bread. I ordered the Plant Power Bowl with tofu, avocado, chickpeas, cauliflower, sweet potato, zucchini, garlic, portobello mushroom, quinoa and black beans. All ingredients totaled 28 grams of protein. The addition of the two egg whites brought the total protein count to 35 grams. I also ordered the Southwest Bowl, which came with black beans, avocado, salsa, red pepper, turmeric rice and Black Angus steak totally 52 grams of protein. Both bowls were delicious, seasoned well, packed with flavor and healthy. The portions sizes were generous and I felt each dish was priced accordingly. The dining area was clean and the various wall decor designs highlighting healthy and clean eating spoke volumes of the establishments mission in wanting to create an atmosphere where clean eating is celebrated. Let me start by saying I typically never leave bad reviews when I don't enjoy food I've bought. However, this was the most disgusting, vile meal I've had in a long time. I used to order the Southwest bowls here all the time, and they were always phenomenal, so I don't know what happened between a year ago and now. The food quality has dropped significantly. They served me a steak that looked like it had already been chewed and was cut as if a child had done it. It contained unrendered pieces of fat that I could not chew through. The mashed sweet potatoes had large chunks of undercooked sweet potato mixed in. The bottom of the bowl was filled with watery mush from the tomatoes. It looked nothing like it used to in past purchases, and it didn't resemble the photo either. I just spent $70 on meals for my husband and me, and both were disgusting and low quality. He ordered the bison bowl with French fries on the side. The bison was awful--drenched in chives and wilted cilantro. The fries were soggy and completely unseasoned. I'm begging you not to waste your money here. I'm so disappointed because this used to be my absolute favorite spot. If you want a good-quality, healthy meal, just go to Café Zupas instead. read more

I had been stomach sick for a few days and really couldn't eat anything but toast and applesauce. I was craving some protein but was terrified to order out because I just wanted something plain with very little seasonings and no sauce. This place popped up on door dash so I decided to give it a try. It was exactly what I wanted. Plain quinoa. Plain broccoli and carrots. Plain salmon and plain steak. Everything was lightly seasoned in maybe a little salt, but otherwise plain and fresh which is exactly what I needed. It was pretty good. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Good portion of veggies and quinoa. Only knocking a star off because I ordered the steak "medium rare" and it was definitely well done and very very chewy. A company that prioritises quality ingredients is something that I can truly appreciate. I actually originally learned about Proteinhouse via the app, Localfats which shows you where all the seed oil free restaurants are in your area. I love that Proteinhouse uses only olive oil and coconut oil. This is quite rare because even in other places that have a reputation for being healthy or even high end, it's more common to find canola oil or soybean oil which is a highly inflammatory, industrially ultra-processed oil. And cheap! High quality oils like olive and coconut oil are more expensive and not enough people understand the importance of using the proper oils for cooking. Proteinhouse also serves grassfed beef, which is not only much better for your health but also better for the environment. Plus, cows raised on the pasture are happier than factory farmed cows fed our industrial waste byproducts of soy and corn. This place is really quite a pioneer in a sense. I ordered takeout twice and was very happy with the portions and the packaging. Highly recommend this place and hope more people will not only discover them, but express appreciation for providing truly healthy meals. Fruit cup looked like it was old and mushy. Worse than the food was watching the 3 girls work the front counter. Eating in front of customers, licking fingers...yes I said licking their fingers, picking their teeth after eating, playing with hair, and coughing in their hands(and did not wash hands after). I literally stood there while the cashier took orders and then decided to make my shake. The salad still isn't up to par. The lettuce is shredded! However, there was too little sauce for how big of a portion it is and I wasn't about to pay another $1.25 or $2 for sauce that should already be in the meal. I asked for medium rare for the steak, but I got medium well. The Muscle Builder tasted like an average burger but it needed some sauce as well. It was pretty good considering the macros, but I'm not sure I would pay $19 for this burger again. Use to like this place when they first opened but feel like it's gone downhill. Tried placing an order over the phone and immediately received there automated answering machine stating there phone lines are busy. Trust me, there phone lines are NOT busy. Not sure if that was broth but the whole bowl had no flavor. From the steak, to the black been salsa, to the low-fat cheese and peppers... all just tasted like water. I'll post a pic below. Atmosphere is casual with a couple of TV's for entertainment and a fair amount of tables for dine-in customers. A self-ordering kiosk is placed upfront, but a cashier is available behind the counter if you're in need of help. **10% off is available when you check-in on Yelp** FYI- The cashier didn't know how to process this discount. Luckily, a woman who was working in the back helped to assist with the transaction. I've eaten here a few times and I've ordered the same thing: Omega 3 bowl - includes pickled cucumbers, sliced avocado, turmeric rice, grilled salmon and chimichurri sauce. They provide a nice selection of condiments on the shelf, next to the pick-up area, and it is perfect for hot sauce enthusiasts (like myself). The salmon was perfectly grilled (not overcooked at all). The tumeric rice, sliced avocados, cucumbers, and chimichurri sauce was a delicious combination. I come to this place all the time, love the food, I go to the gym nearby and I stopped there to eat afterwards. Today, I went there, just like any other day, some people working there that I haven't seen before-- I ordered a couple things and I charged my credit card. The associate says that it never went through. I showed them the charge on my credit card that shows it was successfully charged and then they say, " it says, pending." --no fucking shit it says pending, I am using a credit card, not a debit card . It takes one to three days to clear. I have other transactions that I made less than 24 hours that also say pending but I still got my pizza, the business didn't tell me, "oh the charge is pending so you cannot get your pizza." Weirdest thing I've ever dealt with. I called my credit card company while I was in there in front of those dumb girls that were laughing at me while I was on the phone, I told them what happened and disputed the charge. The dispute center said the same thing I did and asked me if I got what I paid for. I said no they refused. Never going back to this dumb place ever again. Hire smarter people!!!
