At proud papas, what you see is what you get. I mean that in a good way. The pizza is great, their chicken parm is great, and their calamari is the best I've had in a while. I've read some negative reviews here about service but I've never had an issue with any of their employees. There's plenty of parking in the back and the place is pretty spacious. Since I live 2 blocks down this is a solid pizza place for the family and I. I also have twins who also love their pizza and a good alternative when we're trying to figure out what to feed them for dinner. The slices are nice and warm and the cheese is tasty. Located on chestnut street Street parking and there is a large parking lot in the back which is nice Inside is ok.some tables . Kinda looks half deserted. Didn't have any issues with staff. They greeted me- I ordered. I paid. I left Just tried one simple plain slice . Wanted to try from a different place other than my regular go to. My slice was warm like I like it. Nice amount of cheese. Overall-taste was ok- like a regular slice. Not terrible but not my favorite either. I didn't see very much variety in pizza slices but then again it was past 8pm. read more

Ordered 2 salads via Uber Eats. Easy enough I figured. Completely wrong salads were delivered. And they were $21 each!!!! Called and they really seemed like they didn't give a s**t. As a New Yorker, it almost feels like a sin to say this about a New Jersey Pizzeria, but Proud Papa's has some of the best pizza I've had. Specifically, their buffalo chicken pizza is to die for. Proud Papa's does both delivery and dine-in. There's not a ton of seating, but it's usually not packed. Their menu also doesn't stop at pizza, but includes sandwiches, salads, soup, and just about any American Italian dish you can think of- and I've been pretty happy with my meal every single one of the many times I've been here. The service is pretty fast, and their menu has a few coupons built into it. All in all, being that this is a pretty suburban pizza spot, the prices are incredibly reasonable. read more

He was rude to every single person who interacted with him (there were probably 8 people all waiting for orders). Proud Papas is one of the best pizzerias in Union. The mozzarella sticks are my favorite because they are doughy and crispy. The grilled chicken salad (shown with no peppers) is to die for. The chicken has a nice char and if eaten with the fresh mozzarella, it is a perfect bite. The Old World pizza, which is basically a white pizza with basil on top, is also a must try. The calzones here are sufficiently cheesy but could use a little more toppings. The delivery is relatively quick and the delivery people are always pleasant. I would save everything was done fresh just from working in many locations. Portion is Big recently I've been ordering and the chicken parm came in a separate dish and for the price I was surprised. Also bonus reward system so the more you order you accumulate points towards free food which is good that he rewards good customers or just regular customers. ordered most of the menu items and I'm yet to be disappointed I haven't been in a while but I know it's a recently-built establishment not something that's been sitting around and Dusty and dirty actually very clean plenty of seating 2 bathrooms. In a town where the pizza is plentiful, you really hope you find a great neighborhood spot, with friendly customer service and strong family values. Unfortunately, this is not that place. We picked up a pie and witnessed the owner yelling at and degrading an employee, who was clearly a young teenage girl. My only regret was that we didn't stick up for this person. It was wrong and honestly the pizza here is average is best. If you're thinking about placing an order here, it's probably out of convenience. But, next time think about another option. First off I'm going to say the food is very good. I normally get the buffalo salad which tastes great. This is my 3rd time ordering from there. The first 2 times were ok but as of today I will never order from there again. I spoke to a man on the phone and place my order. Good Panninis. Our favorite is either the chicken or eggplant with roasted peppers and cheese pannini. They did change their bread recently and we do miss the original bread they used to make the panninis, but it's still a good pannini. They have a good selection of take out dinners too. I've ordered from here several times in the year I have been living in the area. I have had several of their pizzas which are good, but the crust is a little too think sometimes. Their plain pizza looks great but I haven't tried it. For some reason the crust looks thinner. Their calamari is good too! My favorite thing so far is their eggplant parm sandwich..
