THE BEST PIZZA IN KC. A true hidden gem. Better than Tascio's, Minsky's, etc. Northeast is always super fresh with a fabulously light and crisp crust. My personal favorite is their vodka pizza! AND they sell pizzas by the slice, which is great for individuals just wanting a slice or two. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

This is a hidden gem in Kansas City for simply amazing pizza! Probably top 2 pizza slices I have ever had. The interior is eclectic and inviting, service is friendly. The vodka pizza absolutely blew me away - the sauce, the crisp crust, everything. The truffle pig was good as well. Would love to come back for the PHHP. Please stop by if you are a pizza lover in the area and show some love! The owners are very involved and their commitment to bringing out quality food comes through.

A pretty incredible slice of vodka pizza. It was filling, and the crust was toasty and crunchy. I was very impressed. The ceiling and decor was this beautiful green, and there were versions of Gumby all over the place. Quirky and fun, fantastic staff and quick service.

We got a slice of the P.H.H.P. Delicious and not too spicy for those of you that read jalapeños and hot honey and think too spicy. Nope it is just right with pepperoni and cheese. Then we asked the server his favorite pizza he said the Vodka. He was right on@with his recommendation. It is cheese bread with great vodka sauce on top, no dipping required. Honestly the pizza is so good I would skip the slice and just get a pizza. Leftover pizza is delicious.

I ordered pizza and a salad to go. I liked the pizza as good as any of the best in KC. I ordered the Caesar salad after reading some reviews here. It was a really good salad. I'd like to come back and grab a single slice for lunch. I also need to try the cookies that everyone is talking about. I'm not very familiar with the Pendleton Heights neighborhood. It seemed like Northeast Pizza is a cornerstone of the neighborhood though.

Just a solid New York style pizza joint that the KC area is richly blessed with despite being more than a thousand miles from Brooklyn. Everything about the way they are doing it is right and classic with a few twists if you care to go there like their "Vodka Sauce" pie. Very good pepperoni and KC's own Scimeca's Italian sausage for the enthusiast. Great job guys, I loved it!

Picked up a pizza to go and it was so good!!! The crust, is one of those that you know is good just by touching it. It was crisp and chewy at the same time. I have a picky pizza eating husband, who is from Chicago and even he approves. I picked up a couple of their chocolate chip cookies that they had by the register and OMGGGGG they're so good too, thin, crisp on the edges, chewy in the middle, and sea salt sprinkled on top! I was working out this way and ordered through the Yelp app and by the time I got there it was ready to go. I can't wait to come back!

Northeast Pizza in Pendleton Heights goes straight to my favorite pizza places in KC metro. I am not sure whether it's because of New York style pizza or just the vibe here. We spent around 2+ hrs for lunch at this place. We ordered a 16" Northeast supreme pizza & it was so good. Crust was thin & perfect enough to give you space so you can enjoy the taste of pizza. We also ordered a couple of slice of PHHP (Pepperoni Hot honey Pizza) You have to order the pizza at the ordering place first and they'll bring it right to your table. Ambience is so beautiful here with a lot of cute little things that I noticed. Be it a lot of plants, Vintage KC metro map, candy machines etc., Staffs here are so kind and friendly. They gave a cute little plant to one of us home. I will surely come back here to checkout other things in menu.

Let's start with service. Everyone that helped us were friendly, knowledgeable and made this a fun experience. Loved the service. This pizza was delicious. I would actually give it 4.5 stars but yelp doesn't allow it. My kids loved the cheese pizza in the pepperoni. I would go back and try more of the menu when I get a chance.

I cannot express my love for this pizza any more than 5 stars!!! Old school pizzeria. The decor is great, dudes throwing fresh dough behind the counter, pizza by the slice, cans of soda- and the pizza is some of the best I've had. Chewy crust, cupped pepperoni, foldable gooey goodness. The staff was super courteous and friendly. I highly recommend if you haven't been already. We WILL be back asap!

Stopped by Northeast Pizza and LOVE! It is a great stop for a casual meal. The decor is funky and quirky and old and I love it. They have pizza by the slice or by the pizza. We got a slice of vodka and spinach and artichoke. The vodka was SO GOOD. It was like cheesy bread with vodka sauce on top. I wish we would have gotten a whole pizza to go! The spinach and artichoke was stuffed with cream cheese and super filling. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

We planned a trip specifically here while in the state Because of Davey Pageview's review. Our visit lived up to the reviews. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I tried the PHHP, Pep, cheese, and Margherita. We also had the cookies. The pizza is thin. It is crispy and chewy as others have noted. The guys at the desk are as nice - or nicer - than another reviewer noted. "Next time try the Margherita!", he said. "There won't be a next time. We're from out of state." The other guy said, "can I send you with a slice to go? Free of charge? You have to try it!" Come on! They put it in the oven, pulled it out of the oven cut it in two for me and my daughter to share, grated fresh parm on the top, put it in a box (one slice!) with two plates. It was delicious. 11/10. Must go. My sincere thanks to the guys who helped us today and wished us well on our travels! Wish I could come back! Side note: guy comes in (we'll call him "Jack""). "Slice of cheese, Jack?" I said, "first name basis?!" "He's a regular", guy behind the counter says. Special place. Don't miss it.

Another great trip to NE Pizza! Salad is fresh and the pizza piping hot, cozy way to spend lunch on a chilly, rainy day.

While I do consider myself a part of that subset, I prefer pizzas that use 00 flour and have crispy, aerated crusts with good bubble formation that has a slight chew to it, similar to ones fired in true brick ovens or commercial pizza ovens. For that reason, Nicky's was just okay for the price that it was. I probably wouldn't order from Nicky's again because there are so many other places like Tascio's or Northeast.

It was nice to see quite a few folks dressed up for Halloween, but true to form, it's a bit dark like most bar and grills. Drinks were served up pretty quickly and we had some cheesy garlic bread (very good) to start with some of their (temp) warm marinara. The wife opted for the lasagna and noted that it was just okay. I opted for a 12" buffalo chicken pizza with some pepperoni. I chose well... it's one of the better pizzas I've ever had. Unfortunately the 12" was too much. Take heed: a 10" is probably enough for anybody, even if it's thin crust. Service was generally quick the entire time. If you're feeling pizza and are in the area, this is a very good choice. Just maybe stick to the pizza over the pasta?
