Overall enjoyed my experience dining at Spain. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and I…read moreappreciate the attention to detail. I would rate my overall experience an 8/10! Service was great. Everyone was super friendly and attentive. My favorite bite was the calamari. It was perfectly crisp and lightly battered and came with a variety of peppers. I ordered the halibut special and my only complaint is that the halibut could've had slightly more seasoning, but it was cooked well and the risotto was tasty! I tasted my mom's baked stuffed lobster, which was good, but slightly overcooked. Overall had a positive experience and I would consider going back.

My bf got the NY steak which was a generous portion including mashed and some Brussels sprouts, a carrot for decor. Steak was cooked perfect and had that nice smoke tasting note to it. I had the Chicken Spain which was a generous portion of 2pcs, came with mashed, some Brussels sprouts and a carrot for decor too. Wish their gravy had a little more to the serving, was a mushroom almost broth flavored gravy with a background hint of something I can't put my finger on... maybe Marsala wine??? Feel like their Bread & butter could be a lot better, super crusty and the butter was pretty flavorless and portion of it was a dollop. Calamari was good, came with just the rings which I prefer and no tentacles, peppers and marina sauce. Bill was $124 w/o tip and I had a non alcoholic drink too.

Some Filipino dishes, while not the same are similar, with its Spanish influence. If you like meat and fish, this is a good one for you. Most of the food here tastes great; they prepare the meat dishes really well (tender and rarely dry), and they have a good variety of fish that are cooked in other ways than just fried. If you are in a hurry, there are several dishes already cooked and available on the counter and at such a variety. You choose your starch -- rice and beans, steamed rice-- or fried plantains, and then one or two dishes (even three!), and take your meal to-go or eat in. This combination averages $8 without a drink. You can also choose from the menu displayed on the wall above the counter, and that dish will be cooked as you order. There are other tempters that you must at least try once; different kinds of empanada, for instance. When you get a drink, don't opt for the canned or bottled soda. Ask the server what fresh juices ("jugo de frutas") have been made in the pitchers and go for those. I think they also serve "batidas". Me? I always go for the tamarindo...so good. But wait, this is not a fancy dining place and the area is down-to-earth, so go in with a focus on what really matters there: the inexpensive and good food.
