I just picked my wedding dress from Providence Place and I can not say enough good things about this salon! My mom and I have been looking forward to this moment for months and we have watched a million episodes of Say Yes to the Dress so the build up was definitely there! We had asked around about places to buy a wedding dress in Dallas and got all of the usual Salon names. After some research they only had 7 or 8 dresses in my price range. Luckily, on our way out to eat at the Harbor we saw this boutique and decided to just take a look at the dresses. We made an appointment about 3 minutes after we stepped in! I didn't want to blow my entire budget on my dress but wanted one that was glamorous and Providence Place has them both! The salon is so clean and well organized. I never felt overwhelmed by the atmosphere! We made an appointment in the middle of the day in the middle of the week so we had the place all to ourselves and it was fantastic. There was a place for my group of 3 to sit and watch as I came out in my dresses! It was so relaxing and yet I was treated like a princess! The bridal consultant was amazing. She listened to what I wanted, respected my budget, and dealt with my group wanting to pull a million dresses. I felt overwhelmed looking at the racks, but she was so helpful and ended up picking the dress I ultimately chose! She helped me into all the dresses, clipped them, and offered other accessories that look great with each dress. She never pressured me and was so helpful with all of her tips and advice! She was laid back so I didn't feel smothered but she fully focused on my appointment the entire time! I have a very large bridal party and they were great with striking a deal for some bridesmaid dresses! I ended up cancelling an order from another place because I wanted them to have all of my business. You will not be disappointed if you go here! I am so glad I checked this place out before I went to the more expensive bigger name places! Unfortunately this review will be quite long. As a new fiance I wasn't quite sure how wedding dress shopping went. However, I stumbled across this place as my first stop. Luckily or unluckily I found a dress I loved here. Lynette was very knowledgeable and helped select the dress for me. I purchased the dress October of 2025. I was quoted my dress would arrive beginning of April. For months I heard nothing from them. the estimated delivery date for the dress passed and still I heard nothing from their shop. I had to call a week later after estimated arrival and figure out what was going on. I spoke with the ladies there and was told the manufacturer was still working on assembling the dress and it had not been sent out for delivery. So ultimately, they found a similar dress and were going to ship it out. At this point my dress was MISSING after purchasing it six months in advance. They were quick in finding a dress for me so I will give them that. Fast forward to the seamstress, she was really nice. However, for a dress that "fit me well" she charged me over $500 in alterations for it. Only to not fit me properly on my actual wedding day. Ultimately I WOULD not recommend this bridal place to ANYONE. They left me more stressed out rather than helping to aleviate stress. read more

Providence Place Bridal was such an awful experience. I ordered a $250 Morilee dress along with 5 other bridesmaids and each of our dresses came in the wrong sizes, wrong colors, AND wrong styles. The management team kept pushing off the date of the dresses arrival and we were scrambling until THE DAY of the wedding to pick up dresses that were not even what we ordered. The seamstress did a terrible job altering the dresses as there were several frays all along the halter. Kristin, as well as the owner did not keep us updated nor were they pleasant to work with. I came here with my sister to browse for wedding dresses (and they were having a big sale). I honestly went to see what style I liked before going to my David's Bridal appointment the next week. I ended up canceling my DB appointment because I left Providence Place with my dress! After trying on probably 15 different dresses, I chose the first initial dress I tried on. This dress is a strapless A-Line gown, blush, and fit perfectly. I was nervous it would look too pink like it did in the dimly light dressing room, but after putting it back on and stepping into the store's light, I loved it. In fact, this dress was supposed to be another bride's, but it came to Providence in the wrong color. The store has been holding it ever since and no one had tried it on much before me. The only things that needed to be altered were the length, and the chest. Other than that, it was perfect! Thanks to the sale the store was having, this dress was more than half off its original price. I'm so in love and will always recommend brides to shop here! read more

We came here looking for a wedding dress for my sister. My sister kind of liked the idea of pre-loved dresses. We showed up a couple of minutes early, toddler in tow, for our appointment. The lady showed up right on time and let us in. After I dealt with a tantrum, I joined my sister and her bestie in the front room where all the dresses were. They were still looking around and were picking stuff out to to try. Most of what they had were samples that could be ordered in my sister's size. The lady would help my sister try on the dress and clip it and do all that stuff to show what it would look like in the right size and altered just for my sister. Besides a fussy toddler, it was a pleasant experience. As for the pre-loved dresses, we looked at those too. They have a smaller selection of these and nothing my sister really fell for. Afterwards, she took us on a tour of the facility. they have a beautiful garden area in the back they can host weddings and receptions in. The lady (Ellen, I think) can work as the wedding planner the day of the event and can get us set up with just about everything you need from flowers, to a DJ, to transportation the day of the wedding. I will say, the lady never got irritated with my kid. She was super accommodating to the toddler while really focusing on my sister. That was awesome. She expressed appreciation for me not bringing messy snacks and drinks in with her dresses, but didn't get upset when my kid dropped some carrot pieces on the floor (which i promptly picked up). Do I advise taking a toddler here to watch someone try on wedding dresses? No, of course not, but I was impressed on how she handled the situation. read more

The salon is smaller and more intimate than the big chain stores and is very clean and organized. It never felt overwhelming or impersonal. My mom and I just stopped in, in the middle of the day on a Thursday, and we had the place all to ourselves -- it was fantastic! We had not made an appointment, but the bridal consultant was amazing and allowed us to try on several dresses anyway. The bridal consultant was great! She listened to what I wanted, and helped pull dresses accordingly. It only took 8 or 9 dresses before we had it narrowed down to 'The ONE" ! She helped me into all the dresses, clipped them, and offered her advice on what would look best for my figure and wedding theme, etc. You will not be disappointed if you shop at Providence Place! I am so glad we visited this shop first -- it save me the trouble of spending all day in one of the bigger, impersonal chain stores! It was an great experience and they really listen go above and beyond to try and help you find the perfect thing for your "big day"! read more

My experience at Providence Place was nothing less than stellar. This place was recommended to me by a friend and I am so glad that I agreed to make the trek from North Dallas to Rockwall. This was the first and only place that I went to in search of my perfect dress. I must admit, I didn't think I would find "the one" being that it was my first place, so I am still kind of in shock. It is a boutique, but they had the perfect selection. Lisa Covington took her time with me and was very understanding when I expressed any concerns. They also accomodated and took really good care of my "support group" though it was a small boutique. Can't wait to pick up my dress! This place doesn't even deserve a single star. 5 bridesmaids meant 5 COMPLETELY WRONG DRESSES three times in a row. THREE!! Impromptu alterations were made up until the day of the wedding and were still poorly made. No one felt completely comfortable and satisfied on wedding day. They said they would reimburse us all the money and a month later they're still being extremely ugly to us for even asking. It's ridiculous. Don't tell us you'll pay us back IF YOU WON'T!!! Highly suggest you don't do business with them for special occasions. Especially weddings. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Providence Place Bridal Shop and Lynette, owner and consultant! First of all, she's so wonderful and friendly. She really listened to what I wanted, heard, and respected what I said! She really wants the best for her brides and takes a personal interest in their search for a gown! I also loved how reasonably priced her gowns were.. She doesn't go above $2,000. That's some boutiques starting price! She carries a wide variety of styles and has a beautifully decorated salon. For the service, selection, and prices, this boutique is a must! Not only did I find the perfect dress, but she was able to get it ordered to come in a month later (she can not guarantee that at ALL for her dresses, but I want you all to know she will do her best to get you your dress when you need it!). This will be my new "go to" place for after five attire. I live in north Dallas and had searched all over for formal attire without any luck. I finally found an outfit at Stardust Celebrations. They had it in a 14 and a 26W - nothing in my size. When I asked if they could order it I was told they would call and check. When they called to tell me it was available they wanted my credit card. I asked if they would credit me back if it didn't fit - I was told NO! I called a store in Lewisville the carries the same line and was told the same thing. It was a breath of fresh air when I called Providence Place Bridal! The owner told me she would order it and call as soon as it arrived. She never asked for a credit card and couldn't have been more helpful. Five days later Kristin called me to let me know it was in the salon. I was leaving town the next day for 10 days and had a packed schedule that afternoon. She said she'd wait for me if I couldn't make it by 5. I got there about 5:15. She couldn't have been nicer. The outfit was perfect! I'm so glad to see excellent customer service is alive and well in Rockwall! I highly recommend Providence Place Bridal. For my sisters wedding we purchased 8 bridesmaids gowns (made by Morilee, 'Angelina Faccenda' $230) After intense measurements and lots of discussion about the fact that the number of the dress sizes ALL seemed way too big for the girls, we made the decision to purchase the dresses in the sizes they recommended. To our dismay we picked up the dresses, paid the remaining balance, and delivered the dresses to each of the girls, some of which lived out of state. As it turned out every single girls' dress was 1 to 2 sizes too large in every area. Each girl wound up paying a seamstress to alter her dress for between $100- $170 each. Even after I had brought one of the dresses back to the shop to show them it was several inches too large in every area, they insisted that it was 'usual' to need alterations when ordering 'couteur' dresses. We feel like the bridal shop should give us some alteration allowance but looks like they don't want to have anything to do with that! They initially admitted fault and we're going to give all the girls some allowance for the dresses but when my mom went to the shop they denied ever saying that and told my mom in a nasty voicemail from the stores owner Lynette that she's not welcome in their shop ever again. There are peaceful and polite ways to deal with things and this place clearly doesn't understand that. I wouldn't recommend coming here for any reason to any of my friends, friends of friends, or enemies. read more

If only there was a choice for zero stars or negative ratings to level this rating down to where it needs to be. I spoke directly to Providence about measurements on a dress I needed to order several times before my order was placed. Once the dress was delivered and I tried it on the fit was ridiculous. The woman I spoke to on the phone said the dresses were sized oddly and that I would need a size 20 (I'm typically somewhere between a 10-12 in dresses) I was worried about it as soon as she said that, but I was assured by the woman that this would be what I needed and that the dress would fit perfectly according to my measurements she had. Needless to say I had to have the dress altered and had a rush fee added to the alteration because the date of the wedding was shortly after I received my dress. The owner said they would consider some compensations due to every dress the bridal party ordered from them had the same problems.. Long story short she lied. They treated the entire situation horribly and behaved completely unprofessional. I do NOT recommend Providence to anyone for any reason, matter of fact I will be sure to inform anyone in need of dresses in the future of the horrible experience and help save them from having to go through the same fiasco! Providence should take better care of customers instead of treating them so poorly and not owning up to THEIR MISTAKES!! read more
