Service was great and I loved the ambience. Kind of funky fun place. However, food wasn't good. I was so ready to love this place. Heard great things. Just really wasn't good. I had the avocado toast with an egg. There was so much lemon or citrus on the avocado that it no longer tasted like avocado. My sister had the all plant based breakfast. It literally had no flavor. Everything needed salt. Two others had the chicken and waffles which they both really liked. My other friend had standard breakfast and again needed a lot of salt. (I have found when chefs cook the same food over and over that they stop tasting the food. Someone needs to taste this food before it goes out to table.) I'm coming back because maybe it was just an off day and everyone can have one of those. Drinks were good. Going to give it another try soon and will revise this review accordingly. Stopped in here to check it out. Glad we did. We were famished and just walked through Farmer's Market. We came around 11:30 am and just missed the breakfast cutoff at 11. They do serve chicken and waffles until 4pm. That's what the Hubby ordered with over easy egg. I had the teriyaki bowl with fried chicken. I am so glad I got the bowl. It was full of so much good stuff. Brown rice, carrots, beets, cabbage, avocado, scrambled egg, teriyaki sauce and slices pieces of fried chicken. It was a lot of food, I had to take half of it home. My Hubby enjoyed his chicken and waffle to the last bite. Chicken was well seasoned with the waffle to compliment the sweet and savory. We didn't end up taking pictures because we were starving. This is such a hidden gem in Vallejo! I met my family here while, and wow! I love the decor inside and out. The have a nice covered patio with music, and inside was comfortable and not too loud (even with the lunch rush). The staff was so friendly! Came on a Saturday around 230pm and able to find seating inside or outside quickly. You seat yourselves and the staff brings the menu and takes you order. The cardamom cold brew coffee was delish and the lavender lemonade was refreshing. The cheese curds were soo good and crispy. The friends chicken sandwich was perfect to share with another person if you're not too hungry. I upgraded my fries to truffle fries and was the best decision ever. Pleasantly surprised! I went here for my cohort's farewell brunch. I initially was tentative driving into downtown Vallejo, but I though "why not?". It's definitely a hidden gem, and I'm glad I went! I got the chicken and waffles--waffle wasn't too crispy and wasn't too soft. Perfect with the soft butter and syrup. The chicken was super crispy but moist inside. Ube coffee: love this. Nice change of the menu which seems to be done seasonally. Customer service is always friendly and helpful. Patio seating is always a pleasant experience. I usually get the chicken and waffles whenever I eat there but this time I went with the Chilaquiles. I wasn't disappointed. The tomatillo salsa verde was excellent and completed the dish of chips, eggs, cheese and pickled onions. Portions were sufficient. It's been a great experience visiting Provisions over the years. They've adapted and adjusted to fit all Covid-19 regulations, created a beautiful outdoor dining atmosphere and are continually striving to better themselves with adding new items to their menu. While I feel like my husband can act like a picky toddler sometimes, I'm glad that he enjoys their vegan Cinnabons without knowing it's vegan, their quiches are absolutely delicious, and I can't imagine why it's taken me so long to try their chicken sandwich (10/10). Aside from their menu, they also have a great selection of deli meats, cheeses, and spreads for those beautiful afternoons at the marina for a picnic. They do have a bar, however, they're still in the process of getting that together to open up. I'm looking forward to that in the near future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Downtown Vallejo needs more places like this! Such a great restaurant. This place has gained more popularity since first hearing about it. I have no double they will do well in Vallejo. Everything I've tried is really good - Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich, Tuna And Edamame Salad Sandwich with side salad, the Grilled Cheese with fries, Fried Avocado Tacos - all yummy! Their house salad is amazing too!! Another plus is that all their baked goods are made in-house. The atmosphere is pleasant. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Order at the counter, then have a seat. I LOVE that they also sell Acme Bread and Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam cheese. I'm so happy I don't have to travel far to get it! I also love the Beecher cheese. I definitely plan to work my way through the offerings they have available to buy and take home. I believe Provisions used to service coffee from Moschetti's, a Vallejo coffee roaster. But for some reason, they no longer do. I like to see local businesses supporting other local businesses, but oh well. I still love this restaurant! read more

Every time I walk in here there is another delightful thing to see. I can't imagine the work and hours that go into creating such a unique space with curated gourmet grocery items and a bustling kitchen with exceptional food in a town that is not necessarily known for either (but I do think that's changing). I live in Vallejo and it has become a pleasure to meet friends outside in the parklet and show them how our little town can shine when a business owner believes in its potential. This time my husband and I had a mid-day lunch on Sunday. He had the Butter Burger. So good! Fluffy brioche bun, excellent quality meat, and the fries were crispy perfection. I had the Pastrami and Swiss hand pie. Perfect hardy food for a cold day. I added the side salad and it was much better than I was expecting. I don't love beets and I don't love raw onion so I was honestly expecting to give this to my husband too. But I really enjoyed it. The flavors were such a nice blend with such lovely details (grated beets, pickled onions, etc). The care they put into the ingredients really shows and elevated the salad. And honestly, I will say while everything was excellent that Peanut Butter Bar is what dreams are made of! The yummy peanut filling, the chocolate ganache on top combined with the crunchy cookie bottom. Exceptional. Now I'm sad I didn't try it sooner. I have been here a few times and I Can tell the chefs really care for what is in the menu. The hibiscus mimosas also help that when they say bottomless they mean it. I really find the thought process of local seasonal sustainable foods amazing. My favorite food is the chicken sausage. And the baked goods are delightful. However I find the main fair lacking balance and seasoning. The most imbalanced being the chilequilles. The brightness overwhelms the dish leaving it slightly bitter. The avacado toast needs that brightness. These are nit picky things, but they lead me to not want to go there. read more

We were staying in Vallejo but day-tripped in Napa and decided to get breakfast here because let's be honest...there aren't that many places around this small town. I got the fried chicken sandwich which was good, with fries that were generously seasoned (YAY!) we ordered coffee that came out after we ate our meal.....disappointing!! Legit about an hour after we ordered. UGH! The second day we picked up our order and I got the chilaquiles....please do yourself a favor and don't order that, it was gross and underwhelming. I've had the iced ube latte, lemon soft serve, and truffle Parmesan fries and have only eaten outside. The items were all tasty and they have a good selection to choose from on their menu. My critique is that I didn't taste the truffle on the fries. I believe an aioli sauce would pair well with the fries too. I only had ketchup on the side. It's a great local spot in downtown Vallejo with a nice casual dine-in ambiance both inside and outside. I remember the workers being pleasant as well.
