Good food in a nice friendly atmosphere. Today I had the BLT with a side salad. The salad was fantastic and the sandwich very tasty on ACME Bread. However, the sandwich was lacking on the tomato. The kitchen staff used razor-thin tomato slices on the BLT...and you could barely taste or even see the tomato. Management needs to get some attention on this if they are going to charge $17 for a smaller sized sandwich comprised mostly of bread. Aside from that slight, very good place to grab breakfast and lunch. read more

I'm very behind on reviewing some things I've had here in the past few months so time to drop a line. :) Yesterday my husband and I dropped in for some lunch and unfortunately they didn't have a cook available so we couldn't get what we'd planned. We did, however, enjoy some yummy Moschetti's coffee and my husband got a brownie (very good!). I went ahead and tried the African Peanut Stew which I've always wanted to try but hadn't yet. WoW, that Peanut Stew is DELICIOUS. A "bit" spicy for me but absolutely wonderful and one of my new, all-time favorite soups. Perfect for winter! I'm in love with this soup, ya'll. :) I need to get a large to-go container of this for this week when it's supposed to be cold and rainy!!! It's SO GOOD. The last few sandwiches I've had there were a bit disappointing but they WERE tasty. I purchased a special turkey mole roll the other day and while the mole sauce was delicious it didn't look anything like the photo pictured on Facebook and didn't appear to have any cheese at all, much to my disappointment. The bratwurst (and oh dear DOG I love the bratwursts; I wish they were a menu staple SO BAD) sandwich was both good and disappointing. The sausage itself was wonderful as always but I wish it had come on a hot dog styled bun. The focaccia style bun was too big and hard and it was a very difficult sandwich to eat as the sausage just kept rolling around and falling out of the large, hard-ish bun. All the components were delicious but very messy and hard to eat. My last buttermilk chicken sandwich (a few weeks ago) was soggy, too fatty and completely fell apart but it did, still, taste delicious. Another disappointment; I've been wanting to try the "the Nicole" sandwich since it came out but (and I realize this is a super picky thing but still...) the price has gone from $8.50 to $10.00 to (I think) now $11.00. I had planned to buy that and the price changes within a few weeks have discouraged me from doing so. I don't want a side salad that is now served with it whether you want it or not, I just want the sandwich! :/ I almost forgot to mention the CINNAMON ROLLS. D: OMG, one of the very best cinnamon rolls I have ever had. Ever. SO GOOD. I can't wait until they have them again; if you see them BUY one, you won't regret it. Absolutely delicious. I absolutely LOVE the variety of gourmet snacks, butter, salami, wines, kombucha and other delicacies. I can't get enough of those! I hope new things continue to be added; they are absolutely delightful. I really love the dining room. It was extremely pleasant and cozy to sit there with the rain falling, music playing sipping on my coffee. I do dearly DEARLY wish they would share the internet password though. It's the one major downside on eating/drinking there and why I often choose to go elsewhere for my sit and sip my coffee outings. :( I'd much rather go here because I love it! I really wanted to like this place however my friends and I had a poor experience every single time. Our waitress, a tatted up Latina woman, gave us a hard time although we've always bought over $100 in food and beverages. Although, the Caucasian woman, who may have been in management, gave us the most amount of attitude which made us uncomfortable so we decided to leave. Sadly we will never return. read more

It is about 3.5 Stars. We had the grilled Cheese sandwich with French fries. The bread was very good but the cheese was definitely lacking in flavor and made the sandwich bland and greasy. Tried this place with a friend today, got the Butter Burger with included fries for $15. For what it is, it's a bit overpriced. Unless the burger tastes like magic, that burger should've been around $10 market value. Verdict: The burger was just all right. I was expecting more of a "wow" factor, but lo and behold, it's just your average overpriced hipster burger. Red Robin burgers are bigger than the Butter Burger and at least Red Robin comes with bottomless fries. My burger also came out bloody for me the first time, and still red for me even after I sent it back the first time requesting it well-done, so I just ate it. Not sure I'd come back again for the food. I might come back for some drinks. Overall, the environment is nice with outdoor seating and the decor is cute, but the food is pretty overpriced and average. Try it out for coffee and beer and to have a chill hangout with a friend, but maybe go somewhere else for food. read more

I always pass by this spot but never stopped by. I always thought it was just a cafe, however, this Sunday as I was out on a waitlist for a nearby restaurant, I walked over to this spot in curiosity. I quickly changed my mind in choice of food, and cancelled my name on the other waitlist. I love the ambiance, cleanliness, and the sense of hipster with chai tea type of vibe. I was taken away by the food choices. My partner and I quickly chose the Provisions House Salad and the chicken and waffles. The food was hella good. I have been to Provisions several times in the past few months and I have never been disappointed with the service the ambience and certainly the meals. Provisions has an interesting menu and I'm always delighted with the new and special meals they offer. I also highly recommend their takeout orders. Just tried this place for the first time through Yelps Grub GrubHub delivery. I ordered a Cobb salad and the fried chicken sandwich. My order arrived quickly and the driver was friendly. I'm a little disappointed though. The salad is small and contrary to the claim, it's not a traditional Cobb salad. It just had chicken, blue cheese and bacon. Small portion but tasted ok. The chicken sandwich has a pesto slaw on it that's delicious and it's massive but the chicken is burnt and hard to bite :(. Overall, not terrible. Just not worth the $34 I spent. read more

I like provisions a lot. I've been coming here since they opened and the owner has gone through a lot as downtown. Vallejo continues to gentrify. I think the place got broken into two or three times. But it's nice that she persevered and has continued to grow the restaurant more and more. The food is really good. There are a lot of healthy options with the coffee is amazing and so are the desserts. Sunday brunch outside in the sun feels so good! **Im very glad there was salt on the table So...I came here, eagerly after a work out session having heard that there's a new spot in Vallejo that offers the iconic fried chicken sandwich. The place itself is small but very well kept and super cute. After ordering my sando, I sat in the eating area (which is very charming), where lemon water is provided. 10 min later a very well fried but sad sandwich appeared. I have this thing with fried chicken thighs, where I HATE seeing the fat globules..there was plenty. I wish they would've offered a cleaner cut of fried chicken thigh..anywho... The batter was super bland and the cabbage slaw (as the picture depicts) was clearly a day old and unfortunately tasted like it. The best thing about that sandwich was the (hardly) spicy mayo on the bun. I think that there's plenty room to do better but unfortunately I won't be returning. read more

I moved to vallejo back in october and came here based on its yelp reviews. It has become my favorite restaurant in town! This is where I bring my friends, my family...can't recommend it enough. Pretty sure I've only ordered one thing- Ube latte and their teriyaki bowl with fried chicken and it has never disappointed. I have sampled off the bf's plate and their grilled shrimp is delish. I went to Provisions restaurant, and I saw a customer who came in after I was seated whose order was placed before me. The waitress who sat me at my seat glanced in my direction, and she did not take my order. When another waitress came over after 15 minutes of waiting to have my order taken, and I explained that I had been waiting for 15 minutes, his attitude was I don't care, what do you want. What a wonderful establishment. My mother was in town so my wife and I decided to bring her here for dinner. They're only open for dinner on friday nights so be aware of that. It was a first time for everyone involved and everyone loved the food, atmosphere and service. I'm vegan and my mother eats kosher. We had no issues finding something to eat. I ordered the avocado tacos with a side of fries and the samosa starter for shares. My mother had the grilled cheese with a side of fries and my wife ordered the chicken sandwich with fries. I also ordered the bees knees (a delightful cocktail reminiscent of a lemon drop) and my wife and mother had bottomless mimosas. Rave reviews all around. The tacos were burtsing with flavor. I'm 100% sure even carnist would enjoy them. They have display case with lots of yummy looking baked goodies and a nice amount of them are vegan. I of course took some to go. Such a great idea because they were fantastic. I can't wait to get back there to try all the other yummy vegan things they have. 10/10 highly recommend. read more

Please take this review and fix the issue. I never write reviews good or bad but this experience was so appalling that I just had to. Story time: So I've been to provisions a dozen times and always order the same thing in the same way. Chicken sandwich sub mayo fresh and hot. I order it that way because a few times my fries were old and warm not fresh and hot. I gave my order but the bartender(a guy) didn't acknowledge that he heard me so I asked if he got the fresh and hot part he then said yeah scoffing at me and rolling hard of the eyeballs. After that I was like woah that was uncalled for to my friend sitting beside me. I'm a server and a damn good one so I just would never. When the food came it it indeed was cold and clearly was an old batch of fries. I didn't send it back he then said with an attitude "is something wrong" as I was telling my friend to try a fry. I don't think I'm in the wrong for wanting hot fresh food. I asked for a Togo box for the sandwich because I don't like sending food back and was happy to pay for it but the service was horrible. I felt unwanted. He then clearly talks shit about me to another employee short woman bob haircut because she then comes over to the bar area where we were turns her body to us and says "what do you think they are gonna do with the GHETTO room" referring to another dining area currently being worked on I guess. my friend and I looked at each other like did we just hear what we just heard. The bartender at this point was even confused because where did that come from. It was so much attitude and nastiness from both of them that we couldnt take it any longer. I left my food and she left her cocktail I paid the bill and left a $20 tip on a $60 check because clearly they don't get tipped well enough and that's why they are extremely nasty to people or maybe they just don't like black women, who the heck knows. The ghetto comment didn't sit well with me and I don't think I can or will support this establishment anymore. The cappuccino was delicious and the sweet lady that made it was awesome so thank you for that. She even gave me a Togo cup after what happened. read more
