Easy to get to on Path Train. Less than a ten minute walk from Newark Penn Station. The ease and convenience of getting into the arena was much faster than MSG/Hulu. The seats are situated that even if a 6.5 foot person sits in front of you, they won't block your view. Great local IPA beer! Great venue to watch Top Rank Boxing, which is what I was there for- Shakur Stevenson. Staff was friendly. The bathrooms were clean. I would return for boxing again. read more

Very large and clean arena. I have been here both my car and by train from the Bronx. Driving was easy and so was parking but it was a nightmare when leaving the arena. So much traffic and inconsiderate people driving. By train it wasn't so bad. Short walk there from the train. Staff is always really nice here. If you didn't know, this is the home arena for the New Jersey Devils NHL team. We went here for a MercyMe concert. Security was pretty quick and there were several restrooms and a variety of food and drink vendors. The arena is cashless so if you wanted to buy food and drinks you had to use a credit/debit card. The good thing is that if you don't have a card, just go to the box office reverse ATM and you can get a card. The ushers were helpful with pointing us to our seats. Granted that you can feel it if people stomped on the floor, but that's to be expected. I didn't have any major issues so I would go back. read more

I have been here a few times, mostly working concerts, but I recently attended a Tony Robbins event. It's like any newer arena in the country, very clean and well set up, all seats are good views. There are plenty of good food and drink places, although I wish there was more choices for food. It's expensive, for sure, but so are most arenas I have been to. **Fun but it was not the best venue for boxing Attended the Shakur Stevenson fight. With this being my first boxing experience, I left my expectations open. I'll break it into four sections. Every suite (including the mine) in my near vicinity was filled with people smoking blunts. I did have to ask one person to go smoke elsewhere beingnthatvthe man in front of me was with his 9 year old son for his first fight. The constant smoking was a nuisance. - 0 Stars Prices: outrageous, to say the least. 22oz beer cans $18-$22, Burger $20 - $26, 20oz bottle carbonated drinks were $7+. It's been a while since 8ve attended a live event, but my goodness. Boxing HOF ceremony prices in NY at Turning Stone Casino were better than this. - 2 Stars OVERALL: 2.25 Stars (round to two since ut must be even) I won't attend another match unless it's a major title, the experience was underwhelming. I went to a concert here not too long ago and I was highly impressed with the staff's professionalism. I had dropped my power bank charger in the gaps underneath people's seats during the concert. That was something only the staff could get out. I explained my situation to them, and I was told to stand by and wait in a certain section since the seats had to be unscrewed to get my power bank charger out. This process took 10-20 minutes, and they found my power bank! They were super respectful and assured me they would find my item. Kudos to this squad! I loved the concert there, too! read more

We have been coming here for years and although mostly for hockey games it is usually a pleasant experience. We are almost always in club seating which makes the event worth it. Private bathrooms and food really are the selling point for watching our favorite teams play. Although my biggest complaint is even though I am extremely familiar with the layout of prudential the staff somehow always send us to the incorrect lounge wasting some of our time. Additionally I find that it has gotten more and more chaotic to attend events here. The parking even with onsite parking in the gated lots is chaotic as it took us over an hour to get out of the lot to one block away. read more

We saw NIN there on Valentine's Day and the venue was not well organized. The lines outside in the cold to get through security were 45 minutes plus long, and with doors opening at 7, we barely had time to get to our seats and grab some food (had we gone for merch, we would've been in line for an additional 45 minutes, at least. Was there help or an offer thereof to get to seats? There was not, and judging by the sheer amount of confused concert goers stumbling around in the near dark, help was needed. Getting out was a trial, as 100s of people headed for 1 escalator (poor design!). I hope no one else we want to see in concert shows up here, if so we may have to miss the show. read more

First off -- it is important to mention that these pictures are based on our seating, we had awesome seats, it was pricey, but very much worth it! We got section 38, and it was by far the best thing we have ever done! Food was great, free, person to seat service, and we can get as much food, as many times as we want. Like? Never again! I've been to several performances at the Prudential Center and trying to get in and out of last night's The New Edition, Boys to Men, and Toni Braxton concert was the worst! I live in New Jersey and arrived in Newark at 7:18 pm for the 8 pm concert. We were .3 miles or about 4 blocks from the Center when we hit gridlock. We were stuck on the same block for more than 30 min! There was a complete lack of urgency by the law enforcement and parking attendants to get ticket holders parked and into the concert. When we finally arrived at the garage where we've parked for other concerts (8:30 pm!) we couldn't park there because it was ONLY for pre-pay. You would think the people directing traffic would communicate that to the drivers in the two lanes of traffic before you reached the entrance of the garage. We had to circle around the Center again only to enter the same deck from another block. We finally arrived at our concert seats at 9:20 pm! I won't get into the Classless Crew that sat on top of their seats blocking the views of everyone seated behind them when their view was clear- the seats in front of them were empty! We were in traffic in Newark for 2 hours. Getting out of the deck was no better. We sat in traffic that didn't move for an hour. The concert ended at 11:30 pm and we didn't get home (40 min. away) until about 1:30 pm! Newark has to do better! It's infrastructure and parking is not meant to support the almost 20,000 ticket holders of the Prudential Center. Our concert experience was ruined and I will not go back to the Prudential Center. It's not worth the hassle and headaches. Don't build a center your city isn't prepared to support! read more

Based off of my visits to Prudential Center, it is a good venue that is always clean and well-organized, making getting in and out of the venue pretty seamless. The drinks are comparable to prices you would pay in the city, so I would recommend pre-gaming before or after your visit if you plan to drink. The sound and screen quality are excellent, making it enjoyable no matter where you are seated. The staff are always very nice and helpful each time I have visited, adding to the overall experience. read more

I've been to many NHL arenas around the league and this is by far one of the worst. So many parts of the building are completely outdated compared to other arenas....rest rooms haven't worked properly in years. Lighting in the corridors and rest rooms regularly don't work. Food is overpriced and undercooked, and there is no variety in the concession options. No healthy food options, it's nothing but burgers, chicken and hot dogs. Some of the employees are great, but there are others who are downright nasty, yelling at paying customers for no reason. In game experience hasn't changed in a decade....same videos, same games, same music. Everything about this building needs an overhaul, starting from the top. read more

Had access to the pier club! The service was great! Was greeted with a VIP bracelet and escorted to my suite. The food was basically but good. The Mac and cheese was AMAZING! I loved my seats too! The venue itself is great for concerts, the lines of sight are decent and seeing Iron Maiden here was a perfectly good experience. Also the walkways are pretty wide so the crowds feel manageable especially when you're going around to the restrooms or food areas or buying swag. Stuff isn't cheap but this isn't going to Holmdel or Jones Beach I guess. The location is fine though the parking as others have noted are pretty damn expensive. It's not any more than say what you pay around MSG but it's still pricey. You can't bring any giant bags in here like any other concert venue these days. I don't really have anything else to say beyond some of the streets further away from the arena at night are kind of gnarly and I'd be careful. Beyond that this place isn't that far away from key highways and transit points. read more

I love the devils and prudential center. After, leaving a game the other night there were no crossing guards what so ever. I seen a mother and her kid almost get hit by a car. I called the next day to let them know that they need to be more cautious and have more police and crossing guards. Not to mention the women had a prudential center shirt on. So she must work there. Made the trip for UFC 302. The outside of the stadium is rough. Parking and exit after took forever as the lots were laid out poorly and garages all exit onto the same streets many of which are one lane. Inside was clean and the seats provided solid sight lines. I just attended the World Championship Sumo. It was something different to see. We got tickets at a decent price. But sold-out event. Packed stadium. I could not believe all these people showed up to see Sumo. We had a parking at the deck next door, which takes you into the stadium. I have come here at least twice per year for a concert or some other event, and this is my first time parking there. It's a nice stadium, but getting food or drinks is costly. Tickets are expensive for events, too. It is nice to come here occasionally to be part of the crowd. I would rather be in Newark during the day, not necessarily during the night. I have not tried going by train and walking to the stadium, but I might try it one day. read more

The views from my suite were phenomenal!!! The parking garage experience was great as well. We came in a private entrance through the sky bridge & it was very quick & efficient. There were many workers in the parking garage as well to assist. To clarify, I got parking garage and suite tickets complimentary through my job. But- I thought with suite tickets that food was included. Upon arrival of the suite there were empty trays with no food. There was ice out in the open but no drinks. I thought there would be drinks and finger foods included. When the last quarter of the hockey game was on a staff member asked us if we wanted any drinks before he locks up the drawer. There was water bottles and an assortment of soda in the drawer that we didn't have knowledge of. I feel that the staff outside the suite should have let us know what we had available in our suite. Especially since it was my first time in a suite. We paid for 3 orders of chicken fingers and French fries and 3 sodas $72.00. I knew it would be expensive but that's like $25 a meal. Ridiculous pricing. I have to say, the seats were extremely comfortable as well. read more

Another awful experience. I thought things would improve since last year but sadly, no. Doors opened for the concert at 6:30, I got there at 6. The line wasn't that long, so I thought I would have plenty of time to get in, find my seat, and have a bite to eat before the show. I was wrong! Security is insanely slow. Most places look in your bag and do a quick check. These security girls were taking everything out of every bag. One woman in front of me got mad, understandably, because when we finally got in the door THE SHOW WAS STARTING!! Over two hours to move a moderate amount of people through the door. Anyway after this woman got mad, the security girl had a massive power trip, saying, "Now I'm going to look at everything in your bag!!" And proceeded to TAKE HER TIME with this poor woman who was trying to get in. I went in another line and bypassed her, ran to my seat, and missed the first song and half of the second. This place sucks, and THEY DON'T CARE! Also like the other review posted here, I had a seat in section 126, not even considered a "side view". However I could not see the big TV AT ALL, which greatly diminished my concert experience. Do better Prudential. Other venues are able to move people in quickly. Your methods SUCK!!!! read more

Modern arena, pretty big. Came here for the Jonas brothers concert. Parking is available in the surrounding areas for $25-$50. We thought we found free metered parking but nope. Normally parking is free after 6pm but it's $25 when there are events. We sat in the first row in section 107 and I was so scared that we'd fall...the whole section was SHAKING when everyone danced and jumped up and down. I've never felt that before. The people next to me were also concerned about that. I'm sure the steel beams are strong but I don't think we should be shaking when people and jumping... read more

Really disappointing experience $40 for parking in the lot They refused to serve us alcohol halfway through the concert, after they had just told us minutes before that it was last call and they would take our order, because it was after 10. We had suite seating and were waiting forever for our server to come take our order. They were out of ice and it was a mess inside. Staff was rude. Nice looking arena inside and out although the area around it wasn't great. If you park in the Lafayette St garage you can just take the pedestrian bridge and avoid walking outside (although there are no real walkways in the garage so you'll have to be careful with all those NJ drivers). The layout is nice and the seats comfortable. The only thing annoying was the seton hall announcer...just announce what is going on without your extra commentary. Never been to a game anywhere that the announcer gave their opinion why a team was taking a time out. read more

VENUE: I don't go to many conventions but the few I have been to I found this place to be really clean, well kept and while the food was pricey I was super happy with the portions. It's pretty standard stadium seating, with two levels of small suites in between the lower and upper bowl seating sections. Concessions are overpriced, as you might expect at a sporting event, and you'll have to pay around $30-40 for parking at the venue on game days. One positive note is that you can catch a train to the game to save on the parking--the stadium is only a 8 minute walk from Newark Penn Station. read more

Wow, I cannot believe what happened in the matter of a couple months since I was last here. The food options have totally changed and they are horrible. This has become some of the worst stadium food I've ever had. I used to look forward to coming here for their chickens tenders and fries - they were around 15$ and would give you a ton of fries and chicken that tasted amazing. Now, they give you three dry tenders that look like they came from a Walmart frozen bag and a handful of fries for 17$. Please get it together and bring back the regular, standard food you had last year. People across the internet are agreeing and complain with this.
