We have been having trouble with "clanking" noises coming from our F250. We have been taking it to another shop and while they were excellent in repairing the other problems, they just couldn't figure out this particular problem. Since the hubs travels alot for work, and pulls our 5th wheel, it was important that this problem be fixed for safety reasons. He called another diesel mechanic and the guy, who was very nice said they only work on engines, and referred him to Pruett's. My hubs called, spoke to a very nice lady, and she set us up for the next morning to drop it off. We dealt with Scott and the communication was excellent from the get go, as was the service. He kept us up to date and very well informed on everything that was happening. My husband also mentioned some other things he wanted replaced and that was no problem. They had the truck for about a week (yes, the trucks a mess!) And right before it was ready, Scott called and said while they had some stuff pulled apart they noticed some other things that looked bad and either needed to be replaced now, or would need to be soon. We said to just do it all now, it was very much appreciated that they took care of it now and didn't tell us about it after the fact so we could schedule another appointment (our old mechanic did this all the time). When we picked up the truck THE NOISE WAS GONE!!!! Finally the problem had been fixed and we don't have to worry every time the trailer is moved. I don't know if this is a good thing for Pruett's or not, because this truck is a headache, but you have gained a customer for life! Thank you for your craftsmanship, communication, and your honesty. I brought my truck to Pruett's after another shop told me they could not align it. Pruett's investigated and found that the lift kit the previous owner had installed had come loose in the rear causing the axle to shift. I FEEL THEY SAVED ME FROM A WORSE END THAN TIRES WEARING BADLY. Scott and his team continued thoroughly truing my truck until they were satisfied it was the best it could be. As all this work was going on, my spouse quipped about expecting a very large bill. Not so. I needed my 2020 Subaru WRX STI aligned and was set on not going to the local dealership as ive always had to go back for them to correct or fix my car after the initial service (their service advisors are very nice btw) however I wanted a one and done type of thing and I looked to yelp for an alignment shop. Started off positive. Was one of very few shops that even responded to my request. Seemed on top of his game, but when it came time to do the work he got a little short and unresponsive. Tried to set an appt, and get a lead time on the repair and he became vague, once I asked for a price he never replied back. I firmly believe the experience with a business begins with the first phone call a customer makes to inquire about services, appointments, and costs. On Monday of last week I called Pruett's to understand if they could service my truck. I own an ordinary Toyota Tundra with a leveling kit and I needed an alignment since I completed the level kit install the weekend prior. Scott whom I believe owns the business answered, fielded my questions and we scheduled the appointment with an alignment cost agreement of $129. A few things to consider about the business property, they have covered outdoor waiting area, which I enjoyed because the weather was nice, they have on site bathrooms for customers, parking on site and there is a 4.5 star deli next door to boot. Prior to arrival, my truck alignment was just a "hair" off but needed to get done and the technician at Pruett's appeared to be very particular about getting the alignment laser straight. The staff worked in a team of two, communicated well, pulled the truck and in/out of the bay multiple times to test the alignment. Something that also stood out, the tech completed a needs assessment prior to taking the keys, meaning...he asked what direction my vehicle was pulling, how long has it been like this, and a few other questions so he had a sense of what he was getting into. My rims and tires are not Factory/OEM and the staff took extra precaution to not damage them which I appreciate (See photo). There is an additional $10 fee for this level of service but a cost I was willing to pay. After approximately 60-70 minutes of service the truck was done and my Toyota drives as straight as an arrow and the collective experience was positive. Being "car guy" I cringe when I give my keys to anyone and appreciate that my truck was treated with care. Cost vs. Value: If you want a specialized alignment shop to do good alignment work, get the job done correctly and think through all the details so you don't have to...call Pruett's, they'll deliver. If you are shopping for the cheapest shop in town, have a coupon and prices trumps all else, Pruett's may not be for you. I paid the premium price and after going to dozens of alignment shops in the Redlands area my entire life, Pruett's is hands down the King of Alignment. Check them out, you'll be glad you did. This is the part of yelp that I love, writing a good review. My tires had worn unevenly and I began experiencing vibrating. Pruett's was recommended to me by my tire guy and I was not disappointed. We'd had alignment work done on another car years ago with a different company and it was a terrible experience. Pruett's aligned my van and when I came to pick my car up and mentioned the vibrating he said he could take a look at that. This was all happening at the same time we discovered we were completely ripped off by a local contractor on a tile job (another story), but we just wanted this job done right. Thankfully it was and my car is running smoothly. Also, Scott noticed that he double charged an item and removed it without me needing to say anything. read more

Truck was pulling to the right after some work and an alignment from dealer. Went to firestone to get it checked. They said it was off and corrrcted it. Still pulled to the right. Took it to another firestone and they said it was off. They aligned it. Still pulled to the right. Took it back to dealer. They said it was off and aligned it. At the advice of the Internet forums, never get your truck aligned at anywhere that sells tires. . . Needless to say alignment is bang on. After comparing my several alignment read outs it seems the difference is this shop drives it first, then gets measurements, then aligns, then retests. They have a lesser margin of error over shops that just turn the wrench until the green light on the computer lights up saying it is "in spec" They look at each side and it's effect on the other and adjust accordingly. That being said. It looks as though they don't do anything else than alignments. So if you have worn bushings and bearings have a garage or dealer change those and let these guys put the finishing touch on your rig afterwards. read more

Initial contact: Very difficult, their communication is bad. How do you do business with a bad phone ? Making an appointment is a pain. The pitch: They clam themselves as specialist alignment shop that they can do any adjustment I want cause they are specialist and this shop is that specialty. That reeled me in. Realty: I was expecting top of the line equipment for alignments since they are 'specialist' and alignments is their bread and butter. I get there at my appointment time and the place was old. The alignment machine was ancient outdated technology. On top of that their machine is broken and half working. The nightmare begins: First I handed over the keys, owner takes my car for a test and scratches my car when exiting the driveway as it scraps the bottom of bumper. I would think they be more careful. My heart just sunk when I heard the scrap. I was totally cool about it and told him to be more careful. His respond, "yea heard it". No apology. Ok Mr. No manners. He comes back telling me how terrible the car drives and how awful it was. Yeah I know, that's why I'm here for an alignment ?? Hello? After rubbing in how awful the drive was he says something must be worn. No I just put in a brand new $2000 coilovers racing suspension on so it's not worn it needs to be aligned. He leaves Setting the car up: He leaves and they start to align the car. As they were lifting it I heard a loud boom and metal clanking. I didn't know what happened at the time since you can't see what they are doing as you wait, but the jack actually slip and my car came crashing down breaking my wheel well plastic panel ($200 replacement) They say nothing about it and pretend nothing happened. I didn't find out about it until I got home. I left him a message saying what happened and that they should be more careful. I was totally cool with it and easy going I just want my car aligned right. Anyways they ignored all my messages after that and didn't apologize. What a shady business. The alignment: The alignment calibration is SO OFF. After an hour of messing around they say they cant do it. And they will charge me half price $75. Full price was $149. They said come back another day to finish the alignment. The follow up: Ignored all my calls and messages. They won't admit to the damages I ended up finding. All I wanted was an apology. I was not able to get in contact with them since or even book the appointment to completely their work. They practically took my money and didn't perform the job properly and charged me for their incompetence The cost: I honestly don't care how much it is as long as its done right. $149 for an alignment is the most expensive I have seen and I expect "specialist" "precision" "professionals". They HAD NONE OF THOSE traits. They overcharge for what they offer almost 3 times the price of other shops. Other shops offers far more with far less money with professional respectful and better updated equipments. Don't let the premium price fool you, you won't be getting premium service at Pruett Other cost: Damage to my bumper and my wheel well panel over $300. And the alignment is half jacked up and if they were able to align my car or lie with the broken machine with off calibration they would ruin my $2500 tire set and the car would drive terrible! So I'm out $375 dollars and fixed nothing but damaged my car instead. My redemption: I went to another shop $69.99 aligned. The alignment numbers were perfect spot on and they were very professionals, respectful, considerate, accommodating and they had a New advance alignment machine that gives you tons of measurements and dead on PRECISE! The car drives perfect now thanks to them. Bottom line: -The clowns at Pruett alignment specialist are NOT specialist at all. -Old broken out of calibration machines. -Not professionals -Breaks and damages your car and hides it -No apology or fixes mistakes -Their miscalibrated broken machine will ruin your tires -They overcharge almost 3 times the price of other better shops that does the job right. -Poor customer service -Horrible communication. Etc. I'm glad I could shed some light to steer people away who cares about their car, wallet and time. This place is a nightmare. Oh one more thing the customer before me also didn't get their car fixed and they told them they can't fix it and probably charged them just like they did to me. Ridiculous. If anyone does not believe me I have the alignment papers to prove how off and jacked up their alignment machine is. There is no reason for me to lie or tarnish a shops image, I was very easy going, forgiving and understanding. But I won't let others get screwed. Thank goodness for reviews and freedom of speech. I had purchased a Class C RV and had no idea how hard it was to find a shop that could do RV alignments. I started calling around. One local shop quoted me $435 for an alignment. I'm new to RV's but I knew that sounded WAY too high. I then found Pruett's and liked their Yelp reviews. I called and Scott, the owner, answered. He was very friendly and assured me that he did many RV alignments. He also confirmed that the previous price I'd been quoted was too high. His standard fee for RV's was much lower. The other thing I liked is that Scott personally test drives the vehicles after they've been aligned, both on local streets and on the highway to confirm proper alignment. I highly recommend Scott at Pruett's. He stands behind his work. Many local school districts trust him and have contracts with him to align their buses. read more

There's a few adjectives that come to mind when I think of Pruett's. Here they are: Lying Time wasting Amateurs Storytelling Overcharging Inadequate This place claimed they had my problem solved. When I drove at freeway speeds and came to a right curve in the road my vehicle shook like crazy. I dropped it off to Pruetts and by the days end I got a call, "hey come on down "your car rides as smooth as silk" "this reminds me of a job I did 20 years ago on a VW bus" "the new cars aren't made like they used to" on and on with long winded crap. How about stop talking and fix my car. Well that's exactly what didn't happened. The problem was still there almost $200 later. I called immediately and set up another appointment. Brought it back and had to sit in the waiting room almost 40 minutes for them to finally tell me that they needed to keep it for the day. What I expected them to say is we'll fix the problem that you already paid for sir and we are sorry. Well after the days end I got a call from the owner, who likes to talk too much and tell stories that are irrelevant to me, and it was another $75 to realign the car that they had just aligned a day prior. I almost laughed because I thought he was kidding but he wasn't. I just wanted the problem fixed because the shaking while driving on the freeway was really bad. I paid for it and left. Took the car out on the freeway and the problem was still there! Finally I said screw this and I took it to the dealership. Problem was solved right away. It had nothing to do with anything Pruett's thought it was. I was upset so while in the area I stopped by Pruett's and explained what had happened. He said "gee whiz, I would've never guessed it was the bushings causing the issue." Well I guess that's something Pruett's does as well so why they couldn't fix the issue just simply means they're inadequate at what they do and need to go back to school. Do yourself a favor and don't go here. They have some quack who purchased the business from the previous owners. He kept the same name on it but it's far from the same service. I have used Pruett's for several of my vehicles ( commercial and private ) and by any measure, this is by far the place to go for alignments. Although I must say, he does fill my lil brain with more technical information than I can understand it is still comforting to know that he does at least attempt to get the customer to have some understanding about the process and the why's and the what's of the alignment. Also, he has always offered free re-check at intervals because as we all know, metal bends and stresses with time so that causes some changes in the way it responds to the road. 100% recommendation no bones about it !! read more

I have been going to Pruett's for over 10 years. The service is always top notch. Scott is a very personable and friendly person that knows his craft well. He goes above and beyond to make sure your car or RV leaves in top condition and perfectly aligned. I had perviously gone to a few other places that 'aligned' my truck, but after a few thousand miles the tire wear showed a different story. Mr. Scott Vann needs to go back to "customer service 101". My initial contact with Mr. Vann went like this - "who are you and what do you want. I've had a bad morning, can you come back tomorrow". I was floored just like any new customer would be. I have a specialty hot rod and Pruett's was recommended to me. I requested he look at my car to see if they could even do it. His toned mellowed and he became friendly so I chalked it up to that "bad morning". I made an appointment for the very first appointment 1 week later. I also want to point out that this is a car is 45 years old, in beautiful condition and only needed an alignment. Very simple - Camber and Toe adjustments.....1-2 hour job. I showed up at 7:45 for my 8:00am appointment and was greeted by Mr. Vann. The racks were empty and I wanted to confirm that my car was going on the rack because I didn't have a ride home and I do not leave this car anywhere and was going to stay and wait. I was promptly told by Mr. Vann that "he does not do business that way". I said "what", this is an alignment which should take an hour maybe 2 if you don't know what you are doing. He tells me that they might not work on it until it is complete because there are other things that might have to be worked on and that it might have to stay overnight. And with that, I turned around and walked out the door. I called a buddy and he told me to go down to Tire Pros (525 W Redlands Blvd, Redlands, CA 92373) and talked to Walt ((909) 255-7571) He was slammed that day and told me to come back at 7:15 the next morning and he'll take care of me. Finally a man of his word. Brought the car down, watched them do the alignment and left 55 minutes later. Thank you Walt. After a nightmare at another local "body shop" recently (see my other reviews) - I was not sure what my experience at Pruett's Precision Alignment would be like... but, since a trusted friend referred me to Scott at Pruett's Precision Alignment - I brought my 2007 BMW 3281 to Scott for a "strange grinding sound in the front end"... Scott test drove the car, inspected it in the shop and promptly told me that it was a brake/rotor issue and gave me a reasonable price quote. I made an appointment, dropped the car off and picked it up the next day - price quote was spot on, brakes operate perfect, and grinding sound is gone. I found Scott to be very knowledgeable and he was able to explain things to someone like me (a non-car guy). Not sure why a previous reviewer had such a bad experience. I've been coming here for years ever since my first BMW in 1979 and they are the only ones (besides the dealer) who will do a a bimmer correctly. True, they are more expensive than most alignment shops, but still less than the dealer where one doesn't even know who the tech that's doing the job is. Scott knows alignment and takes the time to review what he found and did. I recently experienced the most fantastic service at Pruetts. I have a Audi A5 that I treat like my baby, and my father noticed a sound he felt was not right. I immediately took it to Walters Audi (my car was purchased there), and the technician gave me a estimate that was almost $20K. My car had just hit 100K miles, and after delivering my estimate, he followed it with "I'm not sure if you want to keep your car or...." I adore my car, and had zero plans of getting a new one, 100K or not- and was disappointed that I felt like he was gently suggesting I get a new car. I immediately signed the "recommendatio to not drive waiver", took my car to Pruetts, left it overnight, and discovered that the majority of the estimate was untruth. He proceeded to fix my car for $2,500- not just a relief but the biggest blessing. Having a european car you adore and trusting a non-dealer mechanic to not cause damage to your car is not easy, but I am so grateful for the ethical, superior service from Pruetts. One of the only local areas where you can bring your motorhome to get aligned and balanced at the same location. Pruett's has been in business for a long time and their service shows that. Our motorhome was long overdue for align/balance, and after they completed the work, it ran better than when we first purchased it almost 10 years ago. They stand by their work and did a great job. Great shop! I have a 2002 BMW M3 that is properly lowered on Bilstien coilovers, with camber plates and adjustable control arms etc, with very wide wheels and low profile tires. Most shops cannot get my car on their alignment machine. I threw out my alignment while in the mountains one weekend and needed an adjustment as soon as possible with a shop that knew what they were dealing with. I called them in the morning on Monday and they got my car in at the time I requested that day. The machine isn't even capable of dropping a vehicle so I don't know what the previous reviewer is talking about. They had no problems getting my car on the machine and did an excellent job bringing it back to almost stock numbers. The guys know their cars and their job. I had a great experience and fun time talking with Scott and getting all the information I needed about my alignment. I highly recommend them. read more
