I had previously left a 1 star review here but I feel bad about that now because service was so incredibly good. The store manager is not the same guy who was here in the past, and he is super transparent and helpful and made a process that should have been frustrating a lot easier. He didn't sugar coat it but was very kind and clear. The price of the tires here was much better than the same tire at other places, and even though they didn't have the tire I needed there at the moment, someone drive down to the Michelin warehouse to get it so it could be fixed that day. I've been a loyal customer at this location for a few years. I went into this location on 3/19/26 bc my car failed a smog check due to a small tear in the air intake valve hose. The guy at the desk didn't seem to have any idea what I was talking about. Pretty sure his name was Luis. But I could be wrong. He never introduced himself. He proceeded to tell me to go to the dealership to get it fixed bc they didn't have the parts to fix it. Which was a first for me. He advised I go to a dealership to get factory parts. I found another mechanic who guaranteed they could get the parts. At a way better price. I will not support this business anymore. And I'll be more than happy to refer everyone I know to the small business owner that actually cares about their customers. read more

my apologies for the delayed review, as I was here on July 2. I was in the store around 11 o'clock in the morning. I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a friendly hello and a positive attitude. I have been here to this location and number of times and that is what I have become accustomed to as they truly do care about their customers. I dropped my car off and went for a walk for a couple of hours and when I returned my service was complete. Terrible, they charge $250 just to fill up coolant, claim they needed it to diagnose the issue with the AC. I thought mechanics knew cars? If you are smart, someone says the AC isn't working, wouldn't checking the coolant level be the first thing you check? And they still choose to charge $250. Where's the human decency and compassion? I honestly never really thought I'd ever have to say this about this location, but DO NOT COME HERE if you don't want to be scammed out of hundreds of dollars and STILL not even have the issue you originally came for resolved. I am super disheartened after today's experience. I have been coming to this location for a few of my past oil changes already and I have never had an issue. I always appreciated not feeling like someone was trying to upsell me and I'm not sure what changed, but today was completely different than past times. I came in for an oil change and also to have my "engine maintenance required" alert looked into. The sales person later sent me an estimate quoting over $500 for maintenance (coolant exchange, brake fluid exchange) and a wheel alignment. I asked him if these services were required and he said "well, we don't REQUIRE any services, but we have noticed you've needed these services since the last visit." But his tone made it seem like these services were related to the issue I came in for. So I truly thought that this must be why that alert keeps popping up. Little did I know they would have NOTHING to do with the issue. In fact, the sales person later admitted he didn't realize it was an "engine maintenance required" alert rather than a standard maintenance required alert. Like WHAT?!?! So I left paying $523.79 for an oil change and other services I DID NOT NEED. And yet, my car is still signaling the alert!! I brought this to his attention and after about 30 minutes of trying to figure out why he couldn't reset the alert, he suggested I may need my WATER PUMP REPLACED! HOW DO WE GET TO THAT POINT?!? I truly felt taken advantage of and scammed out of hundreds of dollars to not even have my problem addressed. Needless to say I will NEVER be returning to this location or any other Ramona's. I will say though, the tech actually came up to me and suggested I look into my vehicles warranty incase the alert was covered so that I didn't need to spend anymore money. To me, it seems like the sales person J.Flores was just trying to milk out as much money from me as possible and the only honest person was the tech. Super disappointed. read more

Got a nail in my tire which occurred in the same parking lot Ramona tire is located in, so I drove over at 5:42pm today the 18th of June to see if I could get a quick patch to get me home. Hours state closes at 6pm however it was completely closed down. Considering the services provided it's imperative to have accurate hours posted and stick to them otherwise get out of our city. After spending 1980$ on new tires, mount and balance, and a "alignment" they did a horrible job on the alignment, the car was pulling to the left and would not drive straight. my receipt says it is a 12 month, 12k mile WARRANTY. So I call and ask if I can bring it back to check the alignment they tell me to bring it in. However when I arrive, Nicole and the older male gentleman tell me their warranty's are only good for 30 days and they aren't responsible if you hit a pot hole. Then nicole checks my miles and lies about my miles saying we have 10k and I have to go out and check to confirm we only actually put 600 miles on it. Then she agrees to check the alignment and once they finished the alignment was way worse, and they damaged my brand new 3000$ wheels. Lemme start by saying I've been taking all of my vehicles to Ramona Tires for the convenience of the location and somewhat reasonable pricing since they opened for business about 6 or 7 years ago. I have also referred friends, coworkers and and community members as the location is one of the nicer tire shops in the area. I took my vehicle in for a tire warranty issue for 2 front Paragon Sport tires that were showing cracks in the sidewall. I was greeted by Jose who assisted with the sale. I asked if there were any recalls or tire issues with the brand and he stated that the cracks may be due to under inflation. I doubt that was the case (unless the service has been subpar all along) since Ramon Tires rotates the tires for me and supposedly checks pressure upon service. I do well to keep my own maintenance up as well. After that bit of information I told him I didn't trust the Paragon brand and wanted to possibly switch to something else. He suggested a BF Goodrich that he could offer at the same price since there was a big purchase on a particular series and savings could be passed on. When the price was quoted he said he could do the same price for both brands of tires and suggested that I change out all four. I usually like to keep my tire brands from being mixed on the same vehicle. So I told him to just switch out the front two and I said I would come back for the two in the rear in a few months since the tread wear was not bad and I didn't wanna throw away the money. Tires were mouted and balanced. I asked for an email receipt to save paper and made my way down the street a couple miles and back to the house. After I parked, I noticed that the tires mounted were in fact the Paragons that I said I did not trust and not the suggested price matched BF Goodrich brand that was recommended. It seems that there was a lack of communication regarding the pricing for two tires vs the pricing for four as Jose informed that he would only honor the discounted price for a full set which was not clearly stated at the time of the agreed purchase and there was nothing that he would be able to do. Looks like I'll be taking my four vehicles for service elwhere and recommending another location as soon as I find a more reputable establishment to do business. read more

Today was a sad day going to Ramona tires today from 11:00-12:20 came in for a slow leak for my van it's a repairable patch tire. They said come back in 45 no problem .as I walked back the van was on the jack from 11:45 -12:15 I asked did the run out of patches ? He ohh my bad it's not repairable . When were you gonna tell me or let me know we been here waiting! Anyways didn't like the service . I told him why have me waiting before telling me. He got an attitude! I purchased tires and an alignment (which you charge $139 for the alignment) just for me to have to bring it back because the alignment was still off. Then you both proceeded to tell me alignment only covers 30 days, without even pulling up my account to see when it was purchased you guys were quick to wanna recharge me, thankfully I save all paperwork and as stated it covers 1 year or 12k miles when I showed you the paperwork no apologies just a "ok we will take care of it" not only did you guys not take care of my issue your workers complete scratch the hell out of my new rims. This will be going to corporate and i will never refer anyone to you guys. Shame on you guys for trying to scam people out of more money, you're unprofessional, and do crap work. RAMONA TIRES REDLANDS, CA I have had it with Ramona Tires, I have been going there for several years now & the last couple times I have gone I have been given estimates that were just outrageous. I was told I had to pay for a diagnostic check & then a smoke test because it showed I had evaporator I was told to bring it back the next day for the smoke test. when I went to pick up my car I asked did you check the gas cap I was told no they don't do that. I went and bought a new gas cap put it on reset my check engine light. Yep total cost $25.00 instead of my quoted price of $400.00 just to find out where the leak was coming from. Then a few months later my car was shaking when you applied the breaks my Daughter, left my car with them to check it out they called back and said pretty much everything was wrong with my front end and gave me a quote for around $7000.00 I was shocked. yeah, my car is a 2006 Camry but it doesn't even have 90,000 miles on it. I was so upset - So I took it to another Mechanic here in town - He told my right front tire is out of round (which I bought all new tires from you in Jan 2024 there were a little over a year old and only 4000 miles were put on it in the that or year plus. The Mechanic also told me my Rotars needed resurfaced. He took care of my me & my car for a total of $195.00 So I am giving you all a bit of advice, DON'T GO TO RAMONA TIRES..... I went in for an oil change and the mechanics lied about the condition of the car to refuse service probably because there were spider webs and debris on the undercarriage (it's a second car doesn't get much use). Anyway the guy at the front desk lied for the mechanics and said there was no oil in the car and the engine was knocking, so they had to refuse service. I let him know I just left my house where a mobile mechanic had been out twice over the last few weeks and he recommended I go get an oil change, so it was not possible that there was no oil in the car. He insisted the mechanics at Romana are very professional and know what they are talking about. I went to Jiffy Lube 10 minutes away right afterwards and they completed the oil change. Guess what their pre-inspection said about the oil level FULL (see attached photo). Lazy lying mechanics and office staff at Romona. Don't take their word for ANYTHING. read more

Yesterday, my son and I came in because we have a tire that keeps going low. We were right in and out in about 15 minutes which is great when you're a mom with a little one! Hector and his team did a great job making sure we were in and out and because we are loyal customers, they took care of the patch that was needed on the house! I came in last week to get my girlfriends ac recharged and brakes done ONLY. When i dropped her off to pick up the car it was not ready. I was not present when they gave her a list of things they said was "required" for the repairs. The list included rear shocks, struts, rotors, brakes, battery, ac line repair, evac/recharge and $240 for 16oz of freon. The bill came out to $3500 and they told her to pay in full which she did, not knowing what any of these things are she is paying for. They took advantage of the lack of car knowledge and she was tricked into paying for things "required". I never been to a car mechanic that charges full price before the work is even complete. They had her come back because the first day they did not complete half of the work. Today we requested a refund on the items they did not complete which the manager kevin agreed to do so (i will be following up on the outcome). In a Yelp review for a family-owned tire shop, I said to beware of gift card incentives and "4th Tire FREE!" pricing at chain stores because you always pay for it somewhere else on the bill. Seems it might have happened here. Short version: TPMS light comes on as I arrive at work. Slow drive after work to Ramona Tire. Sidewall patch is working loose. The tires have served us well: daily drives to work and church and shopping, 2 trips to Lake Tahoe plus meteor shower jaunts to Arizona and New Mexico. Per recommendations for AWD vehicles, need to replace all 4 tires with a quartet of identical tires. Fair enough. Ramona had 'em in stock! And, GOOD NEWS, there's a 4th Tire FREE deal but only if I pay extra for the Protection Package. Yeah, fine, I'll do it. I just want to get home. And then . . . A lug stud on the rear passenger tire broke off while the tire was being removed and (wait for it), the parts and labor to fix it just happened to be approximately the price of that "free" 4th tire. I didn't see it happen so I don't know all the facts. Mechanical failure? Mechanic's error? Only they know. And, miracle of miracles, they had the parts to fix it. Here was a prime opportunity to give me a reason to come back and they threw it away with the old tires. No "we'll take care of it because you just spent half-a-grand with us." Not even "We'll split the difference and help you out." 4th Tire FREE? Maybe somewhere else. Maybe only in our dreams. . . . But wait! There's MORE! Today (Sunday, 9/19/21), I was fattening the tires to 40psi as fleet managers recommend and noticed something familiar about one of the valve stem caps. Yep, it was from the box of 100 I had bought some time ago. The other 3 were the dome-shaped caps from the last time I bought new tires. The quote was for tires, mounting, balancing, Protection Package, disposal and (wait for it) NEW valves and stems. If they really replaced the valves and stems, how much extra would new caps have cost? $20.00 each and another hour's labor? Don't bother, Jeffry G.
