So much to see and do, beautiful area lovely planting and the Magnolia Tree is huge! Bikes were also available which we also used during our stay try the Spanish Moss trail, or have a walk over the huge swing Bridge where part of Forrest Gump was filmed. They are super responsive and helped in many ways.. helping us through the inspection process, minor repairs, coordinating services while we were away, receiving shipments of supplies for the home, ensuring everything was in tip top shape between rentals. The apartment was cute though the rennovation work was clearly DIY (LVP gaps, missing trimwork, gaps between tile and walls not covered, etc.). We were fine with it since the price was reasonable. The issues we did have, however, were 1) the internet was not working, 2) the coffee maker was not working, and 3) the management company was not very professional. We arrived on Saturday and I had to log into work after driving several hours to get there due to some pressing business. However, no where in the apartment were there any instructions about what the wifi name is much less the password for logging on. Seems like a pretty standard "must-have" for an STR, especially since the TV ran off a Fire Stick. There was contact information for the management company so I texted them for the wifi details, which they did provide but after connecting to the wifi, the internet still wasn't working, not even on the TV. After a couple of hours of searching the apartment (every cabinet, closet, furniture, etc.) and texting back and forth with FRIB, the agent finally tells us that the wifi router is in the unit below us (I mentioned from the start of the conversation that we were in unit 2, which is upstairs). Fortunately, it was not rented so I was able to get access and reset the router. A few hours wasted that didn't need to be, but which also caused us to miss our planned activities for the evening. Whatever, was willing to let it slide, but then the next morning we find out the coffee maker is not working. We Googled the instruction manual, even watched YouTube videos for it in case there was some new-fangled trick to it. Never got it working so we went out for breakfast and when we got back to the apartment that evening, I texted FRIB again and let them know the coffee maker wasn't working. Again, there was some back and forth texting in which it was mentioned the coffee maker was new and should be working, so the next day we tried again. Again, it would not work. Again we texted. This time she mentions that the coffee maker is broken but there should also be a Keurig next to the coffee maker. I reminded her that the ad said a coffee maker and not a Keurig (Keurigs are not as common as regular coffee makers and require single serve pods, which unless you have one, you won't have the pods and certainly would not want to buy a pack of them for one weekend). I also reminded her that the kitchen was stocked with regular ground coffee, not K-pods. There was no apology. No offer to run over some pods, or a working coffee pot, or give some money back for the (now repeated) troubles. Nothing. Not even a response a week later. Based on the profile pictures on their website, it appears this company is run by a couple of kids with a dream and no experience (not in STR management, customer service, nor in professionalism). We originally had reservations at the Best Western, which was actually cheaper, but thought it would be nice to have us in one place where we could wake up, have coffee and breakfast together, etc. Instead, we spent half the weekend waiting for the non-coffee drinkers to wake up so we could get the heck out of there and find some coffee (and food), negating the whole reason we cancelled the hotel and opted for a STR.

Upon killing them, I unpacked and went to take a shower and another appeared on the towel. Woke up next morning and found one in my bed and my daughter in law had bites on her arms that started severely swelling and were painful. Late Evening killed a few more and by the next morning we had enough. We packed our things and left. Stopped for gas and I opened the gas cover to find a roach. I immediately took my things out from the car and spread them over the ground to check and make sure none of the roaches followed me home. I contacted Tidewatch Vacations after checkout and filed a report about the living conditions (on Friday). They said someone would call me back. (they didn't). By Tuesday I called again and the 3 employees stated that they NEVER SPOKE TO ME. I sent them a snapshot of my call conversation as proof that I spoke with someone at their location and filed a report. Basically no one at Tidewatch filed a report, only requested pet control to go out and spray the property. This is unacceptable and customers should not be treated this way. What was supposed to be a wonderful graduation turned into a roach infestation nightmare.

While the description of the home and amenities where accurate and quite nice, there were items that were extremely disappointing, such as the the bathroom sink was evidently clogged and the water flow in the tub was almost no existent. Also the mattress on one of the beds was so saggy that my wife and I couldn't sleep together on it. Also, as we prepared to leave and followed the instructions to remove the sheets and put them in the washer, we found that the mattress had 2 large stains on it. But the worst part was, the very bext morning after we arrived, i emailed and called the contact information that was given in the confirming and check-in email, but they have yet to reply back to me. We enjoyed Beaufort so very much and plan a return visit, but we'll never use Tidewater Vacations again!

Downstairs. During the day. At night. In the kitchen. In the living room. In the bathroom. In the hallway. And worst of all, in our bedroom a mere foot from where my child slept. I'm scared to think of all the ones we didn't see. No one should have to stress an entire vacation about roaches and taking them home with you. Also, there was a bee or wasp nest next to our patio door and several of us got stung.

They truly cared about our experience, worked to make sure we were happy. The location itself was great. Steps from the beach, with gated access to covered parking and two assigned parking places. The condo was older but well-maintained and furnished. Bedrooms were large and comfortable. There was a spacious open living area with a galley kitchen and bar, a separate dining area, and a wrap-around covered balcony. We feel like we made friends with Mermaid Cottages and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Their customer service is great, from phone conversations, to picking up our keys in the office, to the friendly technician that they sent over promptly when we had an issue with one of the lights in the cottage not functioning properly. My dropping of two stars is something that I found unreasonable with their preparation for a 3-bedroom, 1-week house rental and only supplying a half-used roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of TP per bathroom, 2 single-use laundry detergents, and one miniature bottle of dish soap. Maybe a heads-up in the welcome documents about bringing additional supplies would've been appreciated. Armies of sugar ants invaded the kitchen on several occasions, but I've been coming to Kiawah long enough to know that insects and critters are just a normal siting, and as long as the roaches are slow-moving or one creepy leg away from the grave due to a decent pest treatment, I'm OK with that. I would give the owners of this cottage 5 stars for the decor, amenities, and well-stocked kitchen appliances, cookware and dishware, but it's not their responsibility to have their rental ready to go for vacationers, and I just feel that Beachwalker should've provided an adequate stash of supplies for a week's worth of a 3-bedroom place. Great week, great weather, and should we rent through Beachwalker again, I'll keep in mind to pack extra gear.

We drove past it twice before we realized that was indeed the location. The building is a loft layout and there is no elevator. The units are clean and spacious and the natural lighting of the main sitting rooms is very welcoming. Beds and linens are comfortable and the noise levels in the building are tolerable. The street activity is relatively quiet and for a Friday night, things got settled soon after midnight. The kitchen area is functional and contains all necessary items for food preparation

I think they do a pretty good job in contract execution, payments and accessibility for questions or information. If you encounter a problem, however, please read our experience which provides a perspective on how Southern Bells is likely to handle it. Other reviews where there were problems had similar experience stating that Southern Belle doesn't seem to care about their customers. I should have read those reviews before booking but then again I wasn't expecting to encounter any issues. My wife and I booked a condo for 4 nights on Tybee Island. April 26 through April 30 through AirBnB, which is serviced through Southern Belle Vacations, the property management company. My wife and I are in our 70's. We sought out a condo that had an elevator, few are available and although we aren't handicapped, we do have knee and hip issues which make it uncomfortable to carry suitcases, groceries, or purchases up several flights of stairs. The saga about the rental mostly begins about 10 minutes before check in. We booked and paid a couple months before our stay. Shortly after the booking they informed us the pool may not be available for our stay and pest extermination would take place within an hour and a half window while we would be staying there. We aren't hard to get along. They might have been nice to suggest a minimal discount if the pool wouldn't be ready for our stay since at time of booking the pool was supposed to be available. They didn't. The concept of one should get what one has paid for will be more relevant further on as we share our experience. About 10 Minutes before our check in we get a text telling us the elevator will not be working for our arrival. I called, they said we're sorry, we're working on getting it fixed. I asked if they could have someone take our bags up the 4 flights of stairs. They did have one of there employees still at the condo and he did take our bags up. We appreciated that. After our bags were taken up we take the stairs up to the condo and upon entering my wife notices the floor is wet. I say, they must have been mopping the floors just before our arrival and since its humid it might take some time to dry. We left and came back about 6 hours later and see the wetness on the floor is worse. I look into the utility closet next to the kitchen. The HVAC system is dripping water onto the electric hot water heater which is running down to the pan under the hot water heater, and is overflowing on to the floor. I call and get the after hours maintenance person on the second attempt. They call the owner who shuts off the HVAC system to prevent further damage and they tell us someone will be out the next day. No HVAC overnight. We leave the condo in the morning and return about 12:30 PM. We see and tell them the HVAC is still off. The condo is over 76 degrees and humid and there is no HVAC repair person in sight. The elevator and pool are still not working or available. They tell us they are working on all issues. We leave again and return about 6:30 PM. The HVAC unit is running but there is water on the hot water heater and the drain pan is full and leaking into the floor again. I call the Southern Belle after hours person again who calls the owner. The owner shuts off the HVAC system again to prevent damage and remains off for our second night. The elevator still isn't working and in fact starts acting up and making bell sounds and opening and closing every 10 to 15 seconds. The elevator services adjacent condos and my wife says when the elevator keeps opening to both condos she sees the woman next door on her couch. I go down to the garage thinking someone might be working on fixing it. No one is at the elevator but I run into the woman next door. She went down to the garage before I did and found someone to cut the elevator power. I go back up to the condo to call Southern Belle again and decide I might as well check out the rest of the condo for any other issues as well. We find some trivial issues such as a totally missing hall light, a burnt out other hall light and a missing drain plug in a bathroom sink. These are minor issues but doesn't hurt to point out having paid $1763 for the 4 night stay. What was bothersome though was the front bedroom smoke detector right near the exit to the stairs was hanging from the ceiling with no battery and obviously inoperable. I mentioned even though the missing light bulb, burnt out light, and sink plug are pretty minor, the smoke detector near the door exit seems more serious since its adjacent to the only exit way. They did come out the next day but removed the detector and didn't replace it until the following day, Tuesday. We left early Tuesday purposefully to avoid the p

SDV has its own app that will give you tons of information on your property, on the city and it will make you fell confident and relaxed to stroll by Savannah streets. This house is prefect located in the heart of the historic center. We walked most of the time to our adventures in the city! We did a picnic at the park, visited museum, chased the ghosts of the town, we had a BLAST! Savannah is a charming and welcoming city to say the least about it. Stayed at 506 East Waldburg Street, Savannah, GA from October 18 to 20, 2012. Although this unit…read morehas been completely remodeled inside with granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances and beautifully tiled bathrooms, it is in a noisy neighborhood. The street is occupied by several college-aged renters that can be disruptive at night. On our first night we experienced a small party with bongo drum playing, loud singing and yelling until midnight. The night of the 20th, two doors down there was a raucous party from 11:00 PM until 6:00 AM. We experienced loud yelling, car door slamming, car alarms going off, cars coming and going, and at 1:30 AM the police arrived. There is also a new house being built across the street with loud hammering and sawing starting at 7:45 AM. Next door to this is a barking pit bull. This rental requires a non-refundable "cleaning fee" of $150. Why I don't know! We left the unit as we found it. Maybe it is for the little shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion that is in the bathrooms. Although nicely remodeled, I cannot recommend this rental. The neighborhood is just too noisy and active for a relaxing vacation.

We've stayed at this place twice now and each trip has been the fun, comfortable, and relaxing destination we were craving for. The River Roost is a 2 bedroom home set along the Georgia coast, with its own private dock for unlimited fishing, crabbing, and endless nights of just hanging out and enjoying the cool evening breeze (just put on some bug spray!). The home itself is nice and cozy.. it comes with a fully stocked kitchen and the couches and beds are very comfortable. The living room has large panoramic windows so you don't even have to sit outside on the dock to enjoy the beautiful views of the river. Another great feature is it's close proximity to Savannah (about a 25 min drive)..we enjoyed full days of sightseeing in the city and came back to the Roost in the evening and enjoyed the sunsets over the water while relaxing on the dock as we feasted on fish and blue crabs. All in all we truly consider the River Roost our home away from home.. we've found a gem of a vacation rental and we'll be sure to keep coming back
