Staff was very lovely. It's evident they have good connections with regular customers. My experience was good while in the salon. Staff was pleasant and meticulous. I got a no chip pedicure and dips manicure with the intention that they last a while. Unfortunately, after, my manicure cracked and chipped within a week. They used a regular top coat, instead of a no chip top coat. I haven't seen that before. I was quite disappointed that I paid more money for a manicure that only lasted a few days. read more

This was my first visit here. everybody was not very friendly. the gentleman that did my nails was on his phone (on speaker). Finally after a few minutes, he finally got off. He never once talked to me through this whole experience, He never asked me what style I wanted or if I wanted to cut down, he just started going at it. I had to tell him what I wanted, but He did the opposite. He never put cuticle cream on me to loosen anything up like all the other salons do. then he cut my cuticle. It was bleeding, pretty yucky, but after that he kept using the buffing thing on my bloody nail, which I find disgusting. After all that he went and put lotion on my hands, and his hands were so rough and dry. It did not feel well at all. I didn't even stay. I had to leave without the polish. I will not be back here. I've been going to Chrissy at PS Nails regularly since about Jan 2022 and my nails have never been healthier thanks to her. Chrissy is so sweet and always takes good care of me and my nails; plus she knows and remembers my preferences and always suggests new colors she thinks I would like. On the rare occasion that something chips or breaks (I have long nails and sometimes they meet an untimely end) she goes out of her way to make time for me to come in and have it fixed. My first time at this business and Chrissy was an absolute gem! I'm so thankful they took me on a busy Saturday and holiday weekend. I called around 12 but they told me they were very busy but could take me later. No issue at all when I came I was serviced right away. I showed Chrissy a design I liked and she really amplified it and made it more me!!! I got a fill in and pedicure & im very pleased with both. Well it's not often I treat myself but I tired this local place to get a mani pedi done. Mind you I use to live in Chicago and use to get my nails done all the time. This place was on the average scale for me. I just like a plain normal natural service, no design just a little self care of my hands a feet. My natural nails were longer it was my fault I should have said not to cut my nails and the shape I like is square. On the sides on my nails I noticed streaks of residual nail polish too. I didn't complain, because I hate doing that. Not sure if I'll be returning to this place. It's was average in service. Everyone was friendly but I wasn't happy with the outcome of my nails and the work of the residual nail polish on the sides of my nails. I hate giving negative feedback or reviews on small business. My wife and I went in for manicures and it was one of the worst experiences ever. When we got there my wife said two manicures and his will be acrylics. (I have a bad habit of biting my nails and it helps me not bite and grow my nails back out). They questioned acrylics? She said yes. For his feet? My wife said no hands. And then we were offered water. My wife started her manicure and it started fine. He kept asking if it hurt, how she'd like the nail shape, etc. Basic stuff for a manicure. He applied the polish and then asked her to switch seats with me. My turn started the same, asking if it hurt, etc. I told him I would like for it to look at natural as possible, no white tip, no color and not shiny. He started putting on the tips and I questioned him and reminded him I don't want the white tip. He said no it's fine. I questioned again and he ignored me. I cracked a joke and he responded so I know he heard me. I questioned again if you would see the white tip and said that no one has applied the tip before and just did the powder stuff. No response from him. He started to trim down the nail. He asked on length and I said shorter, as short as possible. This went back and forth a few times. He said it's fine. I asked again for it to be shorter and no response. I know he could speak English. He talked to my wife and I in English and laughed at my jokes but when I asked for a change or questioned no response. So he finished my nails got up and walked away. Went up to the front and called us over. We thought it was to have someone else finish the manicure since he had someone waiting. Nope it was done. No cuticle cutting, no lotion, no massage. Nothing. I ended up with nails almost as long as my wife's, white looking tips, and are shiny. My wife's nails were stuck to the skin from extra top coat and sharp edge from extra polish. $62 down the drain. I like how they have a stamp card so you can get money off a visit sometime. However last time I went for a dip, it peeled and chipped off a lot within the first few days. I've gotten dip before and it always last 2 weeks or more! I got my eyebrows done but the wax was too hot so I got a big burn mark under my eyebrow. read more

My favorite nail salon in EG! Everything about this place is great: the people, the work, the prices. I always get the no chip, which never chips btw (i'm looking at you, pink nails, with your chipping no chip), and what I love about PS Nails' no-chip is that it never lifts. What is lifting, you ask? Well, you know when your nails start to grow out, and the sides of the gel start to lift and peel and get caught on everything, especially when you're washing your hair? THIS NEVER HAPPENS with the no-chip I get at this place. Before, I used to go into salons with the polish mostly peeled off and my nails looking like they had been assaulted by something obviously too great to fend off, but ever since starting to get my nails done at PS Nails, my nails look like they have simply grown out with the gel still fully intact when I go for a new color. I've been to a lot of nail salons in EG, but PS Nails is definitely the best in town. PS: Besides the usual nail stuff, they also do waxing and air brush designs. I am in and out of Elk Grove Village 3-4 times per month. I quit doing my nails a year ago because the area I live in full-time is too expensive, upwards of $50 for no chip manicures. On a whim, I decided to try this nail shop out after I saw the prices in the window. I walked in without an appt. The only nail tech working said she didn't have time, as she had an appt in 35 min. A male working there told her to go ahead and do my nails. I was fine with a 30 min mani. I want pretty nails. I am not necessarily concerned with the "spa" treatment. So, I was in and out in 30 min. No appt. Nails lasted 2 wks. color was opaque. She was sweet and friendly. They have great color options. Fast service. It was about $30. Clean My cuticles did not crack after, which is typically a problem for me. Since my first time, I have been back three times, and this will continue to be my go to nail shop. I can't wait until summer to check out their pedicure services too. read more

I decided to try this place because it is a little closer to home and not as busy as my usual spot. Had a no-chip mani and pedi (they had a good Yelp deal going on at the time). The service was nice, straightforward. Not sure what happened, but my no-chip changed to a weird color the next day, and unfortunately I couldn't come back to the salon to have them fix it because I was out of town on vacation. Needed a new nail salon since the one I've always gone to was under new management and the last time I went they totally messed up my nails. Anyway, I live less than two minutes from PS Nails and always wanted to check it out. Definitely did not disappoint! Was just going to do a walk in but I called anyway to see if I needed an appointment, and they said to come then and there. Once I got there, they took me in right away. The place was very clean and the staff were nice and attentive. And I'm happy with how my nails turned out! I'll be moving out of the area in a month (about 15-20 mins away) but I'd gladly make the drive. I would never go back here again. The service was very terrible the guy must have never did a pedicure or gel set before because he didn't scrub the bottom of my feet or get my cuticles. He lied about have gel powder when my nails look like acrylic powder. He didn't know how to polish and the bottoms of my feet was very hard even after I upgraded my pedicure to the Lavender scrub and my feet don't even need all that work but I got it because I wanted to try it out. I do the no chip that lasts over 2 weeks with a design that I receive many compliments on.
